Our only withholding is that the Obelisk, being made of Necrodermis is impenetrable to both your scanners and physical probings and carries a swarm of small scarabs for maintenance purposes and to ensure it remains unviolated. But other then that it is able to phase Necrons to and from it, and open portals for Vorlons to travel through it.

Lets say that our contact went pleasently and I told you of the plight of the Necrons/Necrontyr and our side and story of the 'War in Heaven'. How the radiation of our star poisoned our race, and we went forth seeking a cure. When we found another species who held such a cure, the 'Old Ones' we percieved their inaction as a refusal to give us that which would save us from extinction prompting us to go to war.

When the war turned against us, and all our colonies were destroyed making the death of our kind a guaranteed thing, we in our desperation turned to creatures we did not fully understand.

The end result are the sad creatures you see before you (Necrons). We know that those who despise us for waging war against them, the Eldar are also here and seek to thwart us no matter our goal. I also provided you with a Necron Obelisk so that we can maintain contact and travel back and forth between our respective holdings.

Conventional, they arent sophisticated enough to send mind messages yet.

As for the dickish ness the problem I have always had especially with some of the more recent fluff is that they Eldar are portrayed as jerks just for the sake of being jerks.
The problem is that some of the best eldar fluff actually protrays them more towards te Elves attitudes towards humans in Tolkiens world. the best novels with eldar in them have them with being manipulative and arrogant but they are always not dicksh just to try and off set them from the human protagonists.

I have a tenedenciy to think that the eldar believe that they are always right based on thier age and their precoganitive ability. Im hoping to get the better rp of this when we do more rp interactions. I tried to subtly play up superiority with katar and shadow one in slightly different ways. standoffish with the Illithids and a knowit all with katar

No problem Im not insulted. Im trying to do several subtle things by being open aout the "nice" things ts been hinted reently that the tau were reated by the eldar to fight chaos. anti psykrers to help fight psychic chaos. By giving th races I controll a minor ability in the psyker realm I get several things. goal is to create a group of races that are beholden to the eldar with a thn thread when push comes to shove they will choose to ally with the Eldar. thier technology is millenium behind the eldar and by directly controlling thier genetis I can give the power nec to use the tech and limit thier growth. by making them dependent on the tech it forms another thread of control. I need the cannon fodder more then anything when dealing with non first one races they will be the ones to fight the wars and die Ill support them but will do so with the least loss of eldar life.

Was shown that sometime the truly subtle act is hiden by the open act. :)

Im just wondering in what what Im not playing the Eldar right. If Im not playing something right I would like to corrrect the perception. Since you have question my descions I dont mind discussing them.

Necrons are soulless, though they may still be capable of sentience, our beloved C'Tan wanted a mindless slave race and we were very desperate. We were tricked, and only a few of us were permitted to retain our sentience. That is why I am giving all that I am and have to the Murlocs and more, I want to make them into the inheritors of the Necrontyr legacy.

Like any Father and Child relationship, I want to build for their future since mine is written in stone, I want them to have what I never did.

Possible but incredibly unlikely. All that remains of their minds and their free will is mere computer programs.

To be perfectly honest, what Necrons remain sentient are wondering why we did that right now too.

The Necrons do have some knowledge on Temporal mechanics and an ability to manipulate mechanics as well as the perception of space-time itself, and the laws underlying it. Unfortunately my Tomb-World didn't have anything like that so I would have to design it from scratch :(

Evidence of such abilities can be found in the Hellforged novel of the Souldrinkers.

Assuming Kyle comes back how do you propose we work together in game, I'll start using the Stargate shortly but statistically its going to be iffy running into you... if only you'd opened dialogue with the Asgard you could have a canon excuse (short of using psi tech) to go to an Asgard protected planet
