        Overall, badly done and poorly scripted. Patrick Ross had a lot of screentime and development, but his alien persona was a blank slate, just a killing machine. The scene where he kills his father is unconvincing and badly done.

        Eve...she also had potential, and they tried a working w/a bit of that with the 'alien' and 'human' sides of her, but again she wasn't developed much. The mercenary guy, the black astronaut and the female scientists are comparative caricatures of people, 2D stereotypes. Oddly enough, I thought the insane scientist was rather well done.

        I got it from a thread here someplace. Somebody made a comment on somebody's stupid post on physics by writing a scene where Christian priests, via sufficient mental mind-over-matter shenanigans, could go FTL. I snipped the most amusing part for a signature. I tried looking for it for your amusement, but I can't find it using Google. :(

        OTOH, it would make a very interesting fantasy series.

      Hey!

      Sry for not responding, been busy w/college work. As to your question, plasma torpedoes are still very powerful, even if one tuned down the orders of magnitude. I'd say they'd still be one- or two-shotting even the Beast, for all of her technological wonders.

      Even going by Halo: Reach calcs for the Covenant, they would still pwn the Galactica and Pegasus. Covenant still have multi-megaton plasma weaponry, and of course if one ignores Reach the cals can shoot into the multi-gigatons and teratons.

      Either Way, the Bucket and the Beast are finished. :(
