Ah, Ted Nomura. I'm more of a Gold Digger fan myself (indeed, I've been moderating AP's GD board for years now). But if I tried to implement GD tech, Eagle would probably implode. :D And you forget the Sith ghosts on Korriban (who trained Krayt), plus the splinter group revealed in the Fate of the Jedi books. Hell, even Exar Kun's ghost is still around.
Plageus and Palpy die, the Stih do too. Then it's just dark Jedi. The council can handle those. Tigers of Terra. Old comic set against the backdrop of war. No fancy shit in 2037-2040 but for the space fleets, and even those are limited.
Oh, man. You won't need a backup temple. Highlander burial of Palpy and his master. No problem. :D What did I say about driving a dozen DS IIs through the OP? My low tier is the ToT base. .45 cal rail pistols to start with. The various fighters to play with, and so much more. The high tier will likely be Trek for a few things that will come in handy, or Trek replicators as the wildcard.
Check this out for a plan. As Eagle has got his revised OP, I can take some interesting ships with SW replacements of very bulky equipment. Lots of extra space, retaining the original tech base, and having ground equipment that will be able to take on AT-ATs with SW mods in place. The proper tier 1 and 2 bases, no problems for me.
I now have a ship that I can play with for those threads that need smaller, rather than huge monster vessels. :)
Well, those things happen sometimes. You want some ideas? Cargo. Water in this case. Think about all of the places that need it, but have little of it. Tatooine and Ryloth are 2 right off the top of my head.
Part of my initial loadout for myself and companions. I didn't bother with TL-17 disntegrator guns. The damned light battle dress isn't that much better than the bog standard SW armors. True they would stop lighter class blasters, like the lightweight low damage shit. A person could survive an E-11 blast at long range, but will still die if hit in the head at point blank range.
Damn, this is really sucking eggs. What's wrong with battle dress and a FGMP? Its not like a FGMP is an AT-AT killer. Ok, maybe AT-STs would feel some pain, but the best that could be done to an AT-AT with a TL-17 FGMP might be a mobility kill, and that's near suicidal to even try.
You know how Eagle's going to react. Terminator's is fine but be the ultimate iron age badass and you're not acceptable. He's indecisive, hypocritical, and wishy washy saying one thing then reversing it later.
Conan of Cimmeria? He's a beast. He climbs walls like a spider, walks in the desert with no food or water for days without harm, ran down a deer and killed it with his bare hands and has the strength of many men. He's a Hyboreans version of Captain Ameirca but less polite about cracking your brain open with a shield.
You know that my companion pick was a number 8, right? A nice tall and leggy number six would work well also. hehe
Man, this is getting out of hand. What's the deal with Citrakite anyway? I mean I know that some of the things we were discussing at the meeting were a bit out there, but it seems that at least some of us are not being given enough credit for trying to think 20 or 30 years down the line.
The worst case would be Ryan sticking you with Terran A-262s. Yes those are ME-262s with fairly modern engines, and performance around that of F-86 Sabres. hehehe In Tigers of Terra, one has Earth, and on the other side of the orbital plane, Terra. It is quite the interesting Altered Wars scenario.
I did get a to stretch the Johnston class ship though. Only added 1/2 a meter overall length, but the main hull got 5 meters longer at the expense of the boom that leads to the front flight deck area. Got half a meter back for the boom. hehehe. Got some actual cargo space in the main hull that way, and preserved the mine rack. The rack is empty right now, and used as storage, but we'll fill it back up with mines as funding will allow.
I noticed one of your shortlist, and I don't know if it get the nod. I was just under a meter shy of the limit, and got lucky due to the source material being only roughly mid 21st century in tech base.
Oh, like what? Heck, I remembered an old Comic that I was inspired to use for this run. A Johston class corvette cosmoship has a look in a vague way to the SW Maruader class, and a Hapan Nova class. However, the ship is only 128 ft in length, and gained another half meter worth due to the mods in took to bring the ship up to SW tech base. :)
You got an approval for your pair of fighters, and companion, right? If Ryan approved tehm then the more the merrier, I say. Btw, the Cloak of the Sith is a good place to build up while keeping an otherwise low profile. That was my plan anyway. :)
