Then i would suggest imagine you had too, how would it have changed you and can you apply those emotons to your character? What would you have learned in his place and what changes would it have made to your life?

That would be I think the place to start. When I write a story I know exactly what makes my key characters, I can think like them, I know what they would say base don their history and personality. It makes writing them incredibly easy and natural :) Good little trick if you can pull it off :)

I'll try. But to be honest Ben has more guts and has been through more than I ever will. ^_^

You just need some confidence in yourself, things like this if you just play them for real as if you were stood right there, they work so much better :)

I don't know either character or their history so its hard to personalise it. You've already written what you want to say, It can't be that hard to just phrase it conversationally :D You must have spoken to people before to offer comfort and support?

My serious advice, if you can't think of what to write after months then its not meant to be. Abandon the scene and try something different. If you're not getting it in a day or two then I'd try approaching from a new angle. Set the conversation elsewhere, in a different time or place for instance. Might help inspiration

Try it, first thing that comes into your head. The scene is in your mind, you know what you want to express, just try it :)

Could never get into Frontier, I hate how they just break off for random ear bleeding synth pop at regular intervals :p Which is a shame because those Lucifer fighters are supremely good looking, like a cross between my two favourite VFs, the Lightning and SV-51.

Now Macross Zero, that was epic in the literal sense. They got music right, when you are fighting a massive battle you want a song that sounds like its sung by Satan himself backed by a choir of Angels. I loved that show :D

So your scene, you want to offer words of encouragement and support? Keep it simple, I mean really simple. What would you say, as in you the person sitting there right now reading this if that person was stood next to you and looked unsure.

Put yourself in that position and don't over think it, go on instinct. What would you say right now if you turned your head and she was stood there looking forlorn and worried.
Just go with instinct, instinct makes it natural, natural makes it believable, and that will connect with your readership and make the scene relatable. Don't think about it too much or you'll go round in circles, and don't make it too flowery or grand, how would a normal person say it, not Shakespeare :D

Just put yorself in there. What would you say? That is what you write :)

The security guards then rush towards him intending to get him out but Sheryl calls them off saying that he's a friend. She asks Ben whats he doing here and he merely says he's just here to help a friend keep his promise. He gestures to Alto to come out. Sheryl and Alto make eye contact and then Ben says he'll leave them alone and he walks out of sight.
