As a note, the rest of the people participating aren't much better. Pretty much what it's down to now is a few sane 40Kers who only pop in when pretty much forced (EX: Someone spouting excessive amounts of shit), Trekkies doing the same, then everyone else going "LALALA WEEN TIEM FOR MAH FACTSHUN!"

Oh, and the inevitable series of Vs. Debates spawned by people in an attempt to either prove 40K's or ST's superiority. :p

Aye, it's not quite that bad unless we're doing the "Necrons have Petatons of firepower" schtick, and even then (that also being very hard to argue without basically winging it) that's in regards to firepower, which doesn't directly correlate to stuff like nano-tech (Except possibly power generations and thresholds of damage and the like, but last I recall Borg didn't fire nano's with their phasers so it's kinda a moot point to begin with).

Just as a note, to not get winded down in the thread: Necrons actually are pretty advanced compared to Borg. They can make (less effective) Tardis' on planetary scales, superior FTL, mount weaponry on light skimmers that have power generations the Borg would most probably require heavy armour or a starship to mount (Destroyers), etcetera.

Other 40K factions, though? Yeah, arguable there.

I wondered if it depends on each individual, some people understand my posts with little effort. when I read something in English I usually skip the part I do not understand. when I use the translator (English to Spanish) if I do not understand some try to make sense with the context

True. Ever sense arriving to SB I've had to read into and learn more about other characters and such.
When I came all I knew about was: DBZ, SW, ST, 40k, DC, Marvel, and a few random other stuff. Uglies series was recommeded by a friend on here. Could you recommend any good books? Something not connected to what I've mentioned so far? (the stuff I'm actually knowledgable in?)
