Yes. I've been following Nussbaum's blog for three years, she has a lot of very sharp things to say on gender, literature and pop-culture. Jul 12, 2012

APOLOGIA PRO OPERE SUI Parts I-VI

      Hm...

One of the most interesting things I have read on the sexual revolution. I cannot say I agree with everything John C. Wright said, but I find it fascinating all the same. In a way it struck me as social science fiction in and of itself.

My primary disagreement would be rather simple. All throughout history, men have been jerks. The institution of marriage as it was protected women against most jerks, but made them subservient to a single jerk with no way of escaping.

At the very least I will not feel guilty about paying him for the work of his intellect. If for no other reason than that he apologized.

This is a guy who I spend half my time loving and half my time hating. A curious figure, if nothing else.

Hmm. Interesting, I wasn't overly found of the use of second person and the ratio of emotion/exposition was too low, but some good elements.

That would be good, thanks. Not a huge thing, but I just don't want to be checking every couple hours if you're spacing the updates once every week or something.
    5. Raskolnikov
Updates in terms of adding large amounts of new material? Sure, I can let you know once I've caught up to 'real time'.

Would you mind telling me when the Lavinia Shadows updates are done? I don't want to keep checking after they're finished.
    7. WyldCard4
I see Lavinia Shadows was finally updated. Some very interesting things. The Faulkner stuff especially struck me.

I'd thought you'd given up on the blog idea.

On going further in the Twilight Saga. If you're only doing one more I'd suggest Midnight Sun, as it is very different from the rest of the series. If you want to go through the whole series, save it for last. It is incomplete, and reflects some on elements of the series introduced after the first novel.

What did you think of the essay?

I have Cryoburn, with the title being mistranslated as Cryoheat, of course.
Will comment on it thoroughly in a day or two, it just had to come out when I am having intensive courses.

Did it work to transfer it into a double spaced format?

Did you see the next story I sent you?
    13. WyldCard4
I sent you the story, in case you missed it.
