      it's valid, if both sides are even remotely in equal in size and technology, but there are no races that are even remotely similar in those regards in 40K, the closest would be Chaos, and that's not applicable because Chaos can do things that the Imperium can't and the Imperium can do things that Chaos can't.

      I would say that Sun Tzu's Art of War was for a time when armies had roughly the same capabilities, which is not even remotely true in 40K.
