Interesting idea. I could be picky in choosing customers, after all I don't have to afraid that I will stay without a job. After all, there for sure are some High ranking Imperial Officials/Nobles/Merchants who afraid about they wellbeing and will pay to have guards who is consider to be tough enough to protect Emperor.

OK. I don't see a problem for some Custodes participating in this fights. If for nothing more to do some training, measure what is consider as best fighter skills in the galaxy at large (could be useful to made a better defenses in Palace), and to spred Emperor Glory.
Ceremonial armor is at least as good as standard marines if not somehow better, I'm not sure. And about logos... hell no - We are Emperor guard, having any other signs will be practical a heresy.

I'm not permanent advisor, I have the same rotating voting rights as you. And I will need a little more details about your plan. My knowledge about W40k is limited. I know who Vect is and I check Khan on Lexicanum but its all I known. But if you want use some Custodes in gladiator fights I don't see a problem. This will be a good training for them (and extra cash for both of us :)). Hm, it probably will be better if they won't be participating it traditional armor. It could be bad PR, that Emperor bodyguards taking part in some brawls.
