Green is "unintentional misinformation": correcting translation problems that don't exist in the original text. Not a whole lot of use outside of the text.

Gold is less "word of god" and more "argument by psychology": the person who set up this game board would (not) do this because it's the entire point/cause of the game board. It's superior when dealing with initial conditions and actions of the Game Master's original pieces, and inferior anywhere the Game Master's plans could go wrong.
