The other sections here are definitely more interesting than I expected. And yeah, the vs. section is just... wow.
Indeed. It's quite interesting. I love fantasy more than any other genre and Tolkien is the most influential writer in that department. Well, in modern times anyway.

Not too much man. Just finished The Silmarillion and am starting to read Fellowship for the firstt ime. Though, after I'm done, I think I'm going to skip TTT and just read The Children of Hurin. Turin > Frodo anyday.
If the Anime is lost in translation (Re: "a Super Saiyan has destroyed the Southern Galaxy" vs. a Super Saiyan is attacking the Southern Galaxy") then the Manga takes precedence. If Toriyama made the universe diagram then wrote Buu destroying a dozen Galaxies in the Manga then obviously he disregarded the former. If it didn't appear in the Manga at all, then it's filler and thus not part of Toriyama's story. That would also make it inadmissable in discussion unless the Anime is made admissable. I'm considering picking up Dragonball Z: Kai. it's so far off my to-get list that it probably won't happen anytime soon, but Dragonball Kai removed all anime filler and makes the anime story mirror the Manga. I would enjoy seeing it just to see the differences.

Yellow started off a little lame but picked up nicely in the second issue. I say potential, it could have been better. Personally I also found it a little distasteful - Ross as a badass soldier with a revolver was always just so... Ross - the guy with nerves of steel and balls the size of coconuts.
Well he didn't actually get hold of the main Hulk title - he was given Rulk. I'll admit, I did enjoy his limited DD run - Yellow. Rulk had potential which he messed up bigtime.
Maybe I was a little harsh, but, he ended up posting useless bs in two threads I was posting in at about the same time. Just got a bit annoying.
Lol fair enough, I like Dess well enough every now and again but I really do get the feeling that hes in his middle teenage years at best. He has this habit of making threads where he knows absolutely nothing about anyone involved and then gets pissy when the one he likes doesnt win. Also no I havent been paying attention to it but Ill go check it out now.
I totally did, I seriously just don't get it. If you don't like a subject why waste your time posting about it? What the hell is the point? Its not even like he only rarely does it either, its like every single comic thread he has to stick his nose in now for yet another "lol comics r stupid" and I just want to belt him over the head more and more every single time.
