Btw, consider this an "off screen" invite to join with the RWC. I have an Akira class ship that's producing the parts and such for a "poor man's replicator", aka fabricators. Put in resources, and out comes finished product or other finished materials needed.

Industrial size fabricators can and will do wonders. A 50 meter long fabber can produce a small ship nearly that long, if the materials are available. :D

I hope to have the ToT Ram Hyds upgraded to the standards of Trek/SW or so during the skip. It has a few advantages over the Viper/Raptor STL engines. Hydrogen for fuel is only one. The problem is that the Ram Hyd isn't much higher tech than we have now in some ways.

I've 3 different FTL systems to work with, and I'm going to be using Federation miniaturization paradigms where I can for what I can. Imagine a battlestar with a jump drive that's a quarter of the original size or smaller able to do a better job.

I've Warp Drives, SW Hyperdrives, and nBSG Jump Drives. Think about it.

Oh, I'm starting some R&D with phasers, and I've the resources to do it. Going to see if tibanna gas will give that x5 boost to output that it does with blasters up to turbolasers. Imagine Fed phasers with that kind of boost. :)

You can have a single ST ship or a planet. Starcraft is the same with a Protoss Ship or Planet. Either race will have pro and cons with your secret of being a random person stuck with them. Your choice.

Have you rolled for location yet, or to you have one in mind? I rolled. I know of 2 ways to make the roll. 5D6-5, or D100/4. Both work, but I think the D100 divided by 4 works a little better.

A Centurion would be considered the equivalent of a Battledroid, so they would classify as crew.

Assume that they are like standard Marines, in that they are quite adept at defending the ship, but also do well enough outside of a shipboard environment.

I would like to see it that way, yes. The SD will take place over decades of time. As time goes on, you can add troops and build up. Having hundreds of warriors and troops at the start gives you nothing to aim for. Want a Republic Cruiser? Beam your troops over and take the ship. Need to take out a crime lord? Do the same thing. There's no real challenge involved, nothing to strive for.

Not worried, just pointing out a few things. MJ and the others there would not be able to deal with my limits set when I GM (that's very rare).
