OOC: Most Commonwealth warships are using Necron FTLs these days, except for the Planet Killer. He uses a warp 10 transwarp drive.

IC: "Greetings, James. I am Vice Admiral Alexei Kerr, aboard the Commonwealth ship Discontent of Ares. Can we offer assistance?"

OOC: Yeah, that's what James noted, the Imperial FTL while still extraordinerally fast, isn't quite as good as the Necron version.

BIC: " Thank you for the offer, but the Crusader is a dead ship, I do not believe it could be repaired even back home, I will probably need a new housing.... Tell me, what is the Confederation doing in this universe? I swear I detected the signs of them being here recently before my sensors were totally blown out."

"We are at war with the Confederation, James. They are attempting to eradicate all life in this universe. We could tow the Crusader to secure location for evaluation. We could likely transfer you to a new core at the same time."

" That would be useful -- but the Crusader is most likely never going to fly again -- I may be able to salvage some of the hardier technologies..."

"Perhaps it would be wise to retire from this system then? There is a heavily protected joint research station that would be well suited for the task of evaluating your ship and transferring you."

OOC: I'm likely done for the evening. It's paper-writing time. Yay, grad school.

" That would be acceptable, give me a second to disable anything that might cause you trouble, several of the power systems are fluctuating widley and the Warpfire generator is still online -- you don't wanna be too close if that thing blows, trust me."

"Science Team to Captain", the intercom intoned.

"Speaking."

"We've cracked the last stable database. Everything else is too corrupt."

DC sighed, "Why do I hear a 'but' in your voice?"

"The files are in a language we don't recognize. Neither the Federation nor Imperial linguistic databases can make heads or tails of it."

"Send it out anyway. Maybe one of the other races can translate it".

"Very well," Lord Kar said as three more ships phased in and attacked themselves to the Crusader. Linking their drives, they initiated a phase and the ships reappeared near the united research station. "Welcome to your new, likely temporary, home."

....

Captain Picard lifted his head as Riker and Data entered the briefing chamber. "I trust you've been watching the news channels?"

"It could only have been Hamilton," Riker said as he took a seat.

"That is my suspicion as well. He believes that the people of the Federation must change in the Commonwealth is to resume relations with us. Also, before he left he asked me to deliver these to you," Picard replied as he handed the flexis to his two officers. "Offers of captaincy for both of you in the High Guard fleet, and complete citizenship and right for you Mr. Data."

"So first they leave, and now they're trying to get as many Starfleet personal as possible to follow them," Riker frowned.

"They are simply making the offer, they're not forcing anyone to go."

"Since your meeting with the Admiral eleven more planets have left the Federation and joined the Commonwealth," Data said. "However seventeen have renewed their pledges to the Federation. The planets leaving are mainly in the outer sectors of Federation space."

"I see," the Captain said. "With the revelation of Section 31's existance and the ships logs he released tensions are no doubt running high."

"Entilza and the Starfleet Diplomatic Core are keeping busy. His defense of Federation planets during the Flood invasion is carrying a lot of weight right now," Riker said as a smile started to form on his face. "With all the recent shipbuilding and casualties in the war with the Confederation you know I could have gotten a ship of my own if I wanted one. Right now my place is here, with the Federation, and with this ship."

"While I have no doubt that commanding a vessel of my own within the High Guard fleet would be an interesting experience, I do not believe the time is right for such a...drastic change in my life at this time. While I have been on this ship I have learned much about humanity, and what it means to be human. One thing I have learned is that friends remain together, even in difficilt circumstances. While I cannot physically feel the emotion of friendship, I do understand what friendship is. I know Captain, that you would do everything in your power to prevent anything negative, such as dissasembly, from happening to me. For these reasons, my choice is to remain with the Enterprise for the immediate future."

Picard's heart warmed at his officers' decisions. "Thank you both. Now, we should all get back to our stations. We still have a lot of work ahead of us."

(OOC:Time to jump back into this...)

IC: The Naggarok, The name of my mothership, orbited a lush world. All around and above it were the burning wrecks of hundreds of Confederation vessels, and tens of thousands of beast vessels. There were thousands more of the beast, mainly salvage corvettes and heavy tugs, with the occasional Meat Grinder command ship and two of our mightiest ships, the Final Word Class, standing sentinals to the salvaging operations.

We had just struck one of the Confederacy's major outposts and won. The battle had been fierce even with Hypermissile strikes from several Halo class ships. But now all that remained was the planet below, For several of the native citys had been overrun by the confed, and even now my sensors reported their foul presence hiding. It would have been a simple matter to just bombard the planet with Death beast and let it be, but my sensors also reported the bodies of the natives littering the cities. Each death would be avenged...personally.

Below the Naggarok were thousands of Acolyte tengus and several hundred Hack carriers.

"Decend and finish this"

"As you will father," came the voices of my children in the system

"Deploying drop pods now creator," H1-N1 responded, a faithfull compainon that Hack droid.

The Tengus rolled and desended, only to be passed as Hack Pods fell before them. I turned my attention to one of my bays, where one of my newer creations stood, The Hound. The Titan sized machine stood on Four massive legs, its body littered with guns of all sizes, including an Ion cannon and an Infection beam. In a little corner of my mind something told me such war machine was rediculous, and if someone made a Bolo then the Hound would be in trouble, but I tended to ignore that corner.

From the eyes of the Hacks and Tengus I could see the battle was underway in all but one of the cities. The Hacks new Pulse Carbines and rifles worked flawlessly, the captured technologies turned against thier originials. Not to say the beast took no casuallties, but all were easilly replaceable.

The only place where the hacks were not engaging the Confeds was the Capital, or perhaps it was just the largest, but thats what we called it. The hacks had taken up defensive positions outside of it. In a flash, a Hyperspace wave front opened up in front of my droids lines and the monsterous form of the Hound steped forward, my cells driving the machine onward.

The speakers flicked on and my voice boomed out, "The Beast Shall avenge the souls of this planet, you doom is Nigh!"

Federation border: Meanwhile..

At the edge of the federation space a lone unmarked Lambad shuttle waited, not an unfamiliar sight in recent years. But this particular shuttle held something more. Three beings sat in the Lambad shuttle, an older man and woman, and a younger girl in what appeared her teens. all were dressed in similar armour, all baring the same red sores.

"Are they here yet?" a mental question from the youngest.

"They will be here soon rose, be patient." came the reply from the older woman, crystal

"Speak of the OOM, they are here" a comment from the man, Gaunt.

And with that a Federation vessel warped nearby the shuttle.

"This is Captain Marvios, of the USS October, I recieved your message, we are ready to beam you a board for your meeting with the ambasador."

"Captain Marvios, this is Beast High Commander Gaunt, teleport when ready."

With a flash of light the three Beast Humans were teleported aboard the October, and in front of them were two beings, one human, one vulcan.

Gaunt gave a bow, "Thank You captain Marvios, for allowing us to meet with one of your ambasadors."

The vulcan gave a bow, "The pleasure is mine, You may call me Spock."

OOC: Have to wonder how the feds see me. I mean my entire fleet is like one weird hivemind filled with trillions of AI's.

The massive 20km long Asgard class superdreadnought moved free of his restraints entering normal space and the AI controlling the ship let his mind flood out to all systems. The three spinal mount weapons had finally been finished. The central was a Meson cannon, but due to heavy reaserch into turbolasers it was flanked by two massive superlasers. O'neill, the AI controlling the ship let a hologram of himself appear on the bridge and turned to look at Tessa where she stood. To Tessa he appeared as a human in a US military uniform with a patch on the arm reading SG1. Tessa shook her head at Thaits attachment to things Stargate.

"We're ready to move out for battlefield testing." O'neill said

"Alright." Tessa looked at current intel noting the five Hellions, 100 destroyers and 234 Warships that took up positions near O'neill to get ready to move out as well. "Well lets check the edge of confed space." Making a decision she looked up while sending the info into the Link that O'neill was attached to. "Lets go there."

O'neill smirked and the fleet jumped to hyperspace.

========

Mario jerked awake finding himself sitting in a strange room with windows that seemed to look out into black nothingness. He jerked to his feet and strode to the door of the room jerking it open and finding nothing but blackness. The last thing he remembered was his execution, and yet he stood here.

"Ah, i see you're up and around." Spinning around Mario found himself facing Thait. As smart as he was it didnt take him more than a second to realize attacking would be useless.

"Where am i?" He looked around frowning.

"Well, you're dead...Or you were. Technically you are a neural clone of the real Mario. I got your head sent to me and decided to do a little digging into what you know." I smiled as i saw him taking it all in "You see everything you know is up there." I pointed at his head then shrugged "Actually its all around us as this is all your mind. Dont think you can get anywhere, you're in a secure unattached system and i am only a clone of the real Thait." I chuckled to see his anger.

"Honostly Mario i trusted you quite a bit, a pity that we had to be enemies but such is the fortunes of war." I paced in a circle for a second and then smiled "Now why dont we start with where the confeds main system. I doubt i can get everything from you but i should be able to get enough to give me more information than i have. So, confed system?"

"I wont tell you anything!" Even as he said the words the room rippled and changed and we both floated in space in an unknown system filled with ships, defenses, and stations.

I saw his eyes widen and smirked "As i said, it's all your mind. While you will be able to hold things back there is some things you just cant keep under wraps." I looked down into the system "Now lets start with what's in there shall we."

========

Seven and Rodney looked around the holodeck watching as i moved from place to place muttering curses.

"Is it truly that bad?" Seven examined a miniture of what looked to be a defense weapon.

"Worse than you think." I pointed to several devices and shook my head "Those are gravity stabalizers, what they do was about the extent of the info i could get out of him on them. They will render our black hole weapons useless. The black hole defense guns wouldnt even operate there and i have doubts about the PSP's as well. The things can manipulate gravity on a system wide scale. And though im not certain of it i'm betting they can alter gravity where any enemy ship is to crush enemy fleets as well." I pointed to another set of objects "Limited intel on those marks them as some kind of reality stabalizer, the warp probably wont even operate in that system either." I looked at everything and shook my head "Even Mario didnt know what half of this stuff was and his mind is strong enough that i only got enough to know what about a quarter of these things are! Theater shielding on such a huge scale, defenses, offensive weapons, ships, stations, and who the hell even knows what that thing is!" I gestured angrily at one massive structure.

"The information you have gained is useful though." Seven looked at the hologram "And it makes the need for the battle fortresses all the greater."

"Yeah i know, but i'd hoped to get more." With a sigh i looked at the crystal in my hand.

"You could destroy him." Rodney said absently as he looked at one of the gravity stabalizers. There was information on how they worked but he was running ideas through his head already.

"I'd prefer not to at this time, I'll put the crystal in the vault though. I dont need any problems from him."

GADM reads the latest reports out of the Federation. He sees a lot of fracturing, and does not like it. Especially when border worlds like Betazed, Starbase 291, the Trill homeworld, and so on, all petition for Imperial membership.

Messages have gone out to those former Fed systems that the Empire accepts on the condition that once the Federation gets out from it's collective asses, that the systems will seriously consider rejoining at some point.

Defecting Starfleet ships and personnel are inducted into the Imperial fleet under the same conditions as former Fed systems.

Protectorate status for those systems and people.

--------------------------------

New Kuat Drive Yards docks and slips have been cleared. The SLVs have gotten up to speed constructing more fleet ships, fighters, battlesuits, support ships/vehicles/armaments, small arms and more.

I relaxed on the bridge of my flagship as I returned from yet another diplomatic mission to a Federation colony. The people had been thrilled to see me; ever since the Flood invasion they had believed they had owed me a debt. I had told them that they owed me nothing, but I had accepted several gifts to make them happy.

I was far from happy though. More Federation ships, personel and planets were leaving the Federation for the Commonwealth and the Imperials. I had managed to secure pledges of the Tellarites and over thiry Federation colonies. Only my Necron enhacments had kept me on my feet during the journey. The rewards were worth it though. Every planet that remained with the Federation was another link in the chain holding everything together.

I stretched my tired limbs as I ordered our course set for the next world on our tour of duty. I watched the progress of the war on the holo-display, but everything was continuing as it had for the time being. Right now my main focus was on keeping the Federation together. My actions during the Flood invasion had earned me a great amount of good will on the worlds I visited, and I was using it all. Every ship, base and planet I kept with the Federation family gave me pleasure. I had fought hard to save the Federation from hostile enemies, I would not see it fall apart now.

As my ship phased away, one of my escorts moved in a different direction. It was time to pay a visit to a newly made friend who could give the Federation a little moral booster.

ECR Message:

To: Necron Lord Entilza
From: GADM W. Cain

You have my deepest repect for trying to keep the Federation together during this trying time. Please understand that I did not make the decision to cut one fifth of my total trade balance on a whim. The sheer arrogance of the Federation even after we saved their collective asses is beyond me.

Fed traders have tried time and again to rob us blind in trade deals. We have found it easier dealing with the Ferengi. At least we know from the start where the Ferengi stand.

Fed spies, both sanctioned and not, have tried their damnest to "remove the Imperial threat". Oh yes, Section 31 has been up to their old tricks time and again as well as Federation Intelligence. Be thankful that I've sat on this information, and not used it in the myriad of ways I could have.

I've found a couple of forerunner Earths, and have helped to bootstrap them at least older Imperial standard. One of these Earths saw the initial testing of an Old Republic hyperdrive system at about early warp drive speeds, and they did it on their own.

They've been aided for the last 3 years, and have decided to join the Empire. That was almost a year ago, and the mutual benefits have paid off handsomely.

Their Titan Yards facility is as good as any to be found here. For the last year, they've built quite a number of ships for themselves and the Empire.

A Federation unmanned probe is what pulled this "alternate" Earth into the Empire.

Btw, I have all of the Section 31 database, if you want to see for yourself.

All of the former Federation systems, ships, and bases that join are under protectorate status until the Feddies clean house, and become what they need to be. They will be returned in good shape, unless the enemy uses WMDs that we cannot catch in time. Notice that I have made the caveat of enemy actions, and not Imperial.

Please understand that we of the Empire wish this conflict was over and done with, and that we could have a measure of peace.

That being said, it looks like a multiversal penetration occurred, and the source is being brought to RS Gamma. Please join us in getting to the bottom of this.

End Message

With a flash space opened and the fleet found itself in another system. According to intel this system had just been annexed into the confeds territory. Sitting in the bridge, buried deep within the ship, Tessa looked at the veiwscreen but also used her connection to the ship through the Link to 'see' with the sensors. The human stared in horror at a world surrounded by Confed ships, the surface of the planet seemed to be mostly molten rock now and the few minor scattered remnants of ships so primitive they hadnt even had warp drives floated near the large confed force. It was then that Tessa realized that her force was the smaller one here.

The confed forces turned weapons beging to seek target locks on the replicator fleet. "I suggest we get our asses out of here before we even attempt to engage a superior force of the enemy." O'neill said looking at Tessa.

"The dont outnumber us by much." Tessa knew it was stupid to engage. Taking the confeds was always a thing that required her side to have overwhelming force but her eyes couldnt leave the burning world and she found herself wondering how many innocent species had been destroyed when the confederation took territory in this galaxy. She looked to O'neill and saw the same expression on his face as her's likely had and she could feel the rage of the fleet group with her towards those ahead and knew immediatly she couldnt flee, not now, not from these.

"All forces prepare for battle!" She stood striding closer to the screen "All forces break to wolfpacks and prepare for fleet shatter." She smiled at the last watching as the confed this time simple rushed forwards not trying to turtle. Afterall in their minds why should they, the fleet oposing them was smaller and wouldnt be able to bring enough fire to bear to force them to combine their shields. Tessa knew that by the time they figured out the error of that it would be to late to do it, they'd be spread apart to much chasing the wolfpacks.

"O'neill, target the largest concentration of enemy ships."

"Done."

Tessa glared hatred at the oncoming vessels "Fire."

The captains of the nearest TDF ships didnt even get the chance to realize the danger they were in as the Omega powered twin superlasers fired. Brilliant lances of energy flashed outwards smashing through shields and ships, vaporizing hulls as much more than enough energy to shatter a planet and then some hammered into the vessels behind said shields. Some ships had been lucky enough to not be directly in the path of the weapon but had their shields grazed instead ending up with their shields either failing of severely weakened.

"Twenty ships destroyed." O'neill smirked "But it appears we are still outnumbered and they are breaking up their formations. Does this mean i get to use the other big honkin space guns?"

"Yes. Lets see if we can teach them a lesson." And hope we all survive it as well Tessa thought.

======

It was nearly an hour later and the battle was progressing slower than Tessa would have thought. She staggered as the Asgard class ship shook from more impacts on it's shields. The new shield modifications were working wonders, at least for this ship. The O'neill smashed aside the hulking wreckage of what was once one of the 10km Hellion dreadnoughts as he moved to a better fireing position to help wolfpack 10. His massive goa'uld designed and replicator upgraded super heavy plsama cannons ripping chunks from the back of several confed ships while the replicator vessels tried to pull back to allow the use of the spinal mounts. The Confederation had quickly proven they were not stupid by engageing at knife fight distances to stop O'neill from using the superlasers or the massive Meson cannon or risk damaging the Replicator ships.

Tessa shuddered as she realized their losses were at 50% and they had taken out only 20% of the enemy. It meant the enemy had 400 ships left to her 168. Before she could give another order Confederation reinforcements showed up in the form of another 300 hundred ships, most likely from a patrol that had been nearby.

"We should leave this area." O'neill said while noting the destruction of another five Replicator warships.

Tessa nodded glaring angrily at the reinforcements as the warships turtled strengthening their shields as they approached. "Give the order, but lets hit them before we go."

O'neill nodded and the ship began to turn and begin the powerup sequence for the superlaser and the Meson cannon. Before he could use either another ship shimmered into being above and large green bolts rained down. Tessa staggered as the ship lurched and shook "What the hell was that!"

"Enemy fire from a vessel that was cloaked above us. It penetrated the shields somehow! Superlaser Alpha is offline, as is the Meson cannon. Superlaser Beta is heavily damaged and our Hyperdrive is offline."

Tessa snarled a curse "Atleast they dont seem to know we have more than one FTL. Order the fleet out and get us out of here."

Before the enemy ship could fire again the O'neill activated it's Necron FTL drive and vanished even as Replicator ships dissapeared from the battlefield just as swiftly.

Tessa sat in the command chair and looked pensively out at the massive docking station as the O'neill was moved into place for repairs. "Overwhelming numbers it is. At least for now." She looked coldly at the image of the vessel they hadnt run into before in the confeds fleets "You and i will meet again, and i assure you that you wont be the one still standing at the end of it."

Captain Picard smiled as he shook the hand of Governor Zygoh, leader of the Federation colony on Mejal Four. "Thank you Governor for your choice to remain a part of the Federation."

"No thanks neccessary Captain," the gray haired man replied. "Recent events have put pressure on all of us. My colony will do what it can to ease that pressure."

"Then you have my thanks twice over," the Captain said. Looking across the garden where his landing party was preparing to depart from he saw a Scarab tending a small fruit tree.

The Governor followed Picard's gaze. "Ah yes, the little fellows have proven quite adaptable to life here. Ever since they turned back the Flood attack Entilza has kept them here in case we're ever attacked. The children have grown quite fond of them."

"I see. Well the Governor, I hope to see you again then next time the Enterprise is in this sector."

"Until then Captain."

A moment later the landing party was back aboard the Enterprise. "How many colonies does that make Mr. Data?" Picard asked.

"Nine in the last week Captain," Data replied. "The number of planets leaving the Federation has been decreasing for the last three days. If the levels continue I estimate that a total of two-hunded and seventy-nine planets will cecede."

"Higher than I hoped it would be," Commander Riker admitted.

"Yes but less than I had feared. The people are looking for reassurances, and between us and Entilza's efforts they are getting that," Picard said. "Once we meet with the rest of the planets and starbases on our schedule I believe a return to Earth is in order. The Federation Council should have their deliberations on the changes to the Federation charter completed by then."

"If we're lucky. Even being attacked by the Flood can't put much more speed in politics it seems," Riker half-smiled.

"Indeed Number One." Picard paused as a thought entered his mind. "Mr. Data, plot a new course. Take us to the Briar Patch. There is something there I would like to look in on."

"Aye Sir, setting new course," the android replied.

"Leave an experiment running?" Riker asked.

"I suppose you could say that," the Captain smiled.

The first warship of Operation Titans slipped her mooring lines and departed the graving dock under thruster power. In another reality, she would be known as a Warlock-class destroyer. Here, she was the first Nightmare-class battlecruiser.

Her systems were, for the most part, not based on Commonwealth technology, but instead based on improvements made to techniques and principles acquired from friend and foe alike. Her hull made extensive use of dark matter for strength and the entire vessel was heavily armored with an "alloy" of dark matter and neutronium that also incorporated Shroud technology. Heavy adaptive shields provided the ship with further protection and also included the latest anti-psi shields.

Her armament included two heavy meson cannon, marking the first use of that technology with the Commonwealth. Other weapons including missiles, particle beams, and even a handful of massive railguns complemented the meson cannons.

42 fighters, based on Peacekeeper Prowlers, rounded out the offensive systems.

Sublight engines used ion propulsion enhanced by anti-gravity fields which greatly improved acceleration and maneuverability. The FTL drives were based on heavily modified Galactic Empire designs.

To further enhance the ruse that these ships did not come from the Commonwealth, their crews would wear different uniforms than the High Guard and were mainly drawn from Commonwealth protectorates that had not been exposed to our enemies. The ships would operate without Command AI entities, though the provision existed for them to be added at a later time.

Once enough of these ships were ready, they would be launched against the ConFeds.

On the bridge of the Fenris, DC found himself temporarily at a loss for words.

"James? Of the Majesty?"
