Perhaps initially, as with any new feature. My suspicion is that given time it'll wind down to reasonable levels.

Couldn't someone make a sticky and post any and all smilies in it? That way, if anyone feels the default smilies are inadequate to properly convey their feelings, they could just check the thread with the collection of other smilies. Then you won't have to bother the Admins with it.

Can we get the fingers on their own, perhaps in a sort of text highlighting feature like slash or bold? If used properly to surround a sentence they will make it seem more sarcastic than the fingers with the face (the face by only having a deadpan look is not suited to all situations like the fingers on their own would be)

Personally, I'd like to see SB add more emoticons, so I voted yes. But I'd like a popcorn-eating emote for remarking on inevitable flamewars and other such crappy threads even more.

Which reminds me, I should probably use the Something Awful and DeviantART emoticons I have stocked in my Photobucket more often. Especially the Commissar one; that'll be really good when I'm *BLAM*ming people in the New New Members' Forum.
