I liked it. I thought the warehouse fight was pretty spot on with what Terminators would do. Especially to people who have no idea what they're fighting. And some of the gangbangers probably just look tough and wouldn't know what to do. A minigun... yeah, short work of them.

So I'm guessing the 600 is going to be a drug kingpin? LOL, that is quite original for a Terminator.

Definitely an interesting story and I want to see more of this Skynet you have. Is the story for the Connors, Cameron, and Derek beginning during Season 1?

To be quite honest I haven't decided on that yet, though I'm leaning towards them noticing changes around the time of "The Turk". I don't know when I will definately merge the lines of the narratives completely, though I would wish to include some plots of the second season. Because I just wish to write the scene were Alessa asks John if 'Commander Jesse Flores is also in the vicinity' and to imagine the look on his (and Jesse's) face when it all comes crashing down.

Anyway, the next chapter will have a more tense and - slightly - more even-handed battle including competent adverseries. And Skynet will prove that he's not all hugs and kisses just yet.

I think the Turk was around October 2007 or something? Did you ever find out where the Connors live, btw? I've been interested in that for my own, too. The Terminator Wiki certainly isn't too helpful and I haven't been to LA in about 15 years so I have no real idea beyond guessing where that view is from their house.

Crap, I'll have to revise the timeline a bit then. I did not consciously realize that Season One in fact takes place during 2007, probably because the time between then and no has happened so fast. *sighs* So early, and already a retcon.

Given you hinted at Griffin Park and the house they are staying at is in a wooded, rolling area, my best guess would be along the north-eastern edge of the Cleveland Natl. Forest or on the eastern side of Chino Hills state park.

Preferrably dead, but the verdict on the how and if at all is not in yet. Yes, I like her about as much as you do. Primary problem so far is, I have a bunch of storylines for later in the narrative, now I need to get there.

His actions will have local impact, he'll be rather realistic in his assessment of the strategic situation. But there's quite a lot one can achieve with loyalty, preparedness and guns.

Indeed, it would have to. Skynet, effectively, in large parts is pre-occupied by cleaning up its own mess (all those Terminators that need to be recalled from 'kill that resistance cell' missions, all those grays working here and there, all those attempts to establish itself before - Kaliba -, man, what a mess). Maybe some poor soul even needs to be enlisted twice? Charles Fisher, MD anyone?

The time line is really wacky. Season 1 happened from, IIRC September 2007 to November 14 (or whatever day John's birthday is). Then the events of season 2 to Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today occur over an entire year. Yeah... crazy. I only figured that out because The Day of the Dead was the holiday being celebrated in Mexico when John and Riley went, which is November 1.

doubtful, Ironman is not going to expose himself to Skynet without a good cause or some serious insurance, it knows Skynet is a control freak, and he is an independent entity, has been for quite some time.

Interesting one to pick considering Skynet's obsession with control. Or is he willing to take the 'risk' that the Terminators he's using as guards will look to him for further guidance considering that unlike all other occasions where a Terminator or HK was allowed the 'write' mode, that now Skynet is actually THERE on hand directly for his creations to talk to. So that instead of having control, which can be severed, he's going for actual devotion, in a mirror of the Visitors and John Conner?

Write a program into the Internet that causes all mass-media outlets to suddenly display randomly-malformed pixels.

But to Terminator eyes, those malformed pixels are actually instructions from Skynet to abandon their previous objectives and rendezvous with 'him' at his position ASAP.

However... I saw the story cross-posted on FF.net. The problem is unless you load your story with John and Cameron it doesn't seem to attract much traffic (relative tot he John/Cameron heavy stories).

That's not going to happen. Yes, I may have a bit of Jameron in the story, because I think that's what more of the second season should have been about instead of whacko Sarah, but this story is basically about Skynet and the machines and the reactions of the resistance.

Not that I mind Cameron, Jesse and Derek or even Sarah before she goes insane is worthwhile in small doses, Lords know John needs some major character development before he's fit to run the resistance but I'm really grooving on this Skynet/Terminator centric stuff.

Guilty, largely because non John/Cam on FF.Net tend to focus on characters I'm not interested in. Riley, Jesse and Sarah don't really catch my attention. Derek occasionally interests me and I have no interest whatsoever in Allison Young.

Not a central plot development, but I'm playing with the thought of having Skynet send Michael Decker or one of his other Praetorians (huh, I just made the concept up, but now that I think of it that has a nice touch) to terminate Riley Dawson sometime in 2008 after his observation of the Connors and his evaluation of available background data about her lead him to conclude what John also concluded: that she's from the future, and that she's a danger to improved man-machine relations.

On a related point, I've decided to bridge the gap between the arrival and a merger with the series timeline rather fast, so you're looking a maybe not more than four further catch-up posts (not making promises, though). Prepare for cunning bastardry from Iron Man!

I've never watched much of TSCC but from other Fan-fictions there is the Free Machine faction. Is IronMan going to side with John Henry or be in loyal opposition to the FM's? 'Cuse i don't see him as really wanting to be any were close to Skynet.

The "free machine" faction is mainly a fan fiction thing. Except for Weaver (and possibly Cameron) there was never any explicit proof there was a significant third faction fighting against Skynet of their own volition.

It'll be interesting to see Weavers take on all this, by the end of TSCC she was really the big fish in the pond, Skynet's forces John and Sarah Connor and the resistance were all the minor league in comparison. And John Henry was her god.
