Death is out tending his bees one day when he suddenly great At'uin runs into DeathNoteverse

Death, thinking that the Death Gods are abusing their powers, decides to intervene if Death needs help assume he can call in the authorities and Azrael from his universe.

I assume you mean the Discworld "Death" because there is also Death from "On a Pale Horse" which I am pretty fond of....

We don't know anything about the Death Gods of the Death Note and what there full capabilities are. So what's the point of this thread?

Seeing the existence of the Death Note, I'm guessing the Death Gods are more like demons or djinns, killers for hire, than true embodiment of Death like Discworld Death is, so I see him winning easily.

Another thing, the Death Gods can die.

The closest Death has come to dieing was when the New Death tried to kill him and take his place.

Things didn't go quite to plan there...

Actually, Death Gods can't kill unnecessarily. Killing a human who is not his time to die, the Death God would die instead. There is a balance of sorts. But I agree that they are only Death Gods in name only. Didn't he say the place Death Gods come from is ruled by King of Death Gods or something? Or was it King of Hell?

They only die when their time runs out, if they purposely extend a human's life, or they're given that unspecified punishment for breaking the rules.
