Predictions for "Rrevolution"? (SPOILERS)

Ok... based on Reloaded and the trailer at the end for Revolution, how do you think Revolution will end?

Personally, given the minister's speech when he took Neo to the engineering level, the machines and the humans will end up coming to an un-easy truce. Humans will work with machines to help them survive and vice-versa.

Why? Both are facing annhiliation. If the Matrix fails and humans die, the machines will face certain death (a certain level of survival aside). The sentinels (sp?) are about to destroy Zion and this (coupled with the eventual failure of the Matrix, means the end of human-kind: somthing that none of the characters wants.

I can see the only solution to this issue being a truce.

How about reunification. Surely humans are capable of things the machines simply aren't, as has been proven by Neo in the matrix. "He is still only human." Maybe they'll learn that the only way forward for both is for both to work together.

to Defend this, we know that you have to believe that the Matrix is fake. Everyone belived that the "real" world was real, so there was no reason to think of it as fake. the destroying zion 6 times, and the whole "Bull shit youre lieing" neo thing kinda reinforced that. I dunno just how I see it. Besides this way they can pull the whole this is Area 51 thing

I think Smith will turn to toward the human side, as time goes on he seems more more like us.


If Neo is smart Smith would be the one to reach out too, for all we know the Oracal may have been doing this to setup a situation of Neo making peace with Smith, ending the war in a bizzar way.

As I see it:

The "Real World" that we see in Reloaded is a sub-level of the Matrix which was designed as a play-pen for all those who realised that the "20th Century World" was fake. It would keep them occupied mentally while their bodies were still in the powerplants. The various "Ones" were part of this sub-level and were there to keep the people who thought they'd woken up focussed on destroying what they thought was the Matrix and thus preventing them from realising that they were just in a sub-level of the Matrix.

Neo, however, realised that the "Real World" was still part of the Matrix (stopping the Sentinals) thereby creating the possibility of waking people in the Real Real World

After seeing the Revolutions trailer, it could just be that Neo has somehow mentally connected to the Machines' computer network and can therefore control them

Yes, they join together to try and stop the games. Everytime you get the blue screen of death, that Smith, Neo, and Bob telling you to stop playing your system recource hogging games

That is the exact same theory I came up with after seaing the Matrix Reloaded today. You have The Matrix to cantain the majority, The Real World() to cater to the human need for free will and to point these people in the wrong derection.

However, I imagine this may be wrong. I think humanity and the machines are stuck in the The Real World together. Neo will beable to single handedly stop the machines but then offer an alience to help each other infiltrate True Reality. So yes, this will be like a high budget 13th Floor but only in a passing manner. I imagine it will, over all, be quite different. This leads to two more theories.

Standing in True Reality, Humans controle The Real World, as some sort of massive AI experiment; or from True Reality aliens controle The Real World, all as some sort of massive human and AI experiment.

I too am beginning to beleive it will be a Matrix-in-a-Matrix. I think that we'll be given something spectacularly strange to find out who exactly is controlling the Matrix. I think the ultimate irony would be that everyone is AI...Neo realizes the "real world" isn't real, and proves some crazy theory about AI being able to gain true sentience. We find out that Neo himself is not real. It's the kind of plot twist I would expect from this series.

Smith I beleive will play an important role too....maybe the classic AI-gone-wrong. The experiments went alittle TOO well, and while the powers-at-be were working on developing the Neo AI, one of the Agent programs gained a similar level.....

I don't know if that's what will really happen; but that's what i'd do.

If this is apart of the story as it appears to be it suggests that the war will not end in M3. Prehaps the breaking of the cycle will signifie the start of a real war. Rether it is a war taking place on a two-level matrix (real earth and the matrix) or the rebels leave zion to start the revolution somewhere else.

Hmm....interesting....since the Wachowski bros. are involved, I have to imagine that there was a slip in the guarding of the secret; the Matrix more than likely still exists.....

Else, why not just set it after say, Reloaded?

Ah, the Matrix Online, it has alot of potential. It is indead very interesting that it takes place after Revolutions but I don't really see how this impacts the story more than everyone still being around after the last movie.

To me its becuase it means the war is not over. And that we will not win and neo might be dead. It opens up the ending a little more than the good guys will win as I though.

My only guess at Revolution -

In short, the Architect, despite his calm, certainly did not expect Neo to go through the Door That Saves Trinity. As such, we'll see Zion about to be destroyed - when the machines stop and fly back. Eventually the Machines and Neo begin to work together, but there's one itty bitty problem - every person thats in The Matrix right now is Smithed. In other words, dead. Which means, the machines don't have much longer either.

So, we have Agents and neo versus Smiths, but Neo brushes them off.

Not sure about other stuff, but thats what I have a feeling of.

Been playing 'Enter the MAtrix' and it seems the plot is going to take another right turn in 'Revoulations'.
