Slylandro Probe vs the SW Galaxy

(At the height of the Empire's power)

A Slylandro probe is sent into the SW galaxy, and appears in a lightly patrolled sector of the Empire, with some asteroids. This probe is programmed to seek out materials and replicate itself above all else, like the one in SC2.

Can the Empire kill the probe and its offspring before they replicate themselves into a horde numbering millions (a few months basically) and overrun the Empire (and everything else in the SW galaxy)?

I say the probes win

The Mycon colonize planets by launching tough spore-pods from orbit
and injecting them under the planet's surface.
Months later, after the spores have grown hundreds of thick, fibrous tendrils under the planet's crust
the tendrils suddenly thrust up out of the planet and create huge calderas
not incidentally filling the planet's atmosphere with the Mycon's preferred gases
clouds of super-heated steam and sulphuric acid.

No problem, they just added CAMs and Gridfire and effectors and cranked up the replication priority
