A reasonable question on the SW:AotC ICS

Has Curtis Saxson ever discussed his sources for the firepower numbers he listed? I know we can rationalize the lack of apparent power by variable yields or concentrated beams, but the rationalization is not positive evidence for high yields. Given that we never see an Acclamator fire a single shot in the entire AotC movie, I don't see any visual evidence and I heard no dialogue evidence. SW:RotS ICS has no numbers, despite all the awesome combat shown, so I want to keep this focused on Episode 2.

Please note that this is an honest question, not an attempt at falmebaiting. If this has been discussed elsewhere, please tell me. If Curtis Saxson saw special SFX footage, please let me see it.

Also not flamebaiting, but didn't he say it was based on some evidence (pictures) from comics?

He has done lots of research on lots of aspects of Star Wars. You should check his Technical Commentaries site (hosted on theforce.net) to figure out.

I've been to Technical Commentaries, I really liked the page on Vader's Injuries and his starship scaling is excellent - Malsar used it for starship scales.

I was just trying to find if someone has this info handy.

He seems to give more credence to comics than to other EU materials.

For example, he lists umpteen dozen different Star Destroyer classes based on singular pictures of them from comic books, but, AFAIK, never really discusses the myriad of smaller warships presented in the EU.

I also seem to recall his calcs for the Slave 1's main guns coming from comic book illustrations.
