(Not Homu, but I have to tell you that thanks to your writing I started to watch Doctor Who, starting right at the beginning, in 1963. It's a real time travel to see sci-fi(?) from the middle of the 20th century. Also very strange how different this Doctor is from what I thought about him before. He acts like an amateur and apparently doesn't have a clue about... just about anything. Is this the beginning for him? The Daleks he first met are also so clueless... strange.)
  2. Yup. That's his first 'incarnation', played by William Hartnell.

Yeah, that far back the Doctor isn't super experienced yet. And the daleks are just starting out. For all the talk about not innovating too much, they are intelligent creatures and they have learned and upgraded their systems over the years. Because if they were't capable of that, Davros might as well have built full robots. But he didn't.
He took the unusual route of making supersoldiers that are actually physically weaker than the normal members of his race. Because, heck, modern warfare is about equipment anyway. So instead, he just made them geniuses that were superhumanly good at one thing-- HATE.
  4. He wasnt origionally making super soldiers.

See, his planet was rather poisoned, which was causing mutations to both the Dals and the Kaleds, and Davros was in charge of a project to find out what their final mutated form would look like, and was supposed to do something about it.

The Daleks were origionally travel machines for their mutated forms, but Davros got a bit carried away, and started making adjustments to the mutants- which resulted in the Daleks we all know and love.

It doesn't help that he is clinically insane.

I mean, how many times has he remade the Daleks now, with the exact same design as last time, and somehow expected them to NOT turn on him despite doing so every time thus far?
  6. Dalek Ix Angry Mexican Dalek

To call Davros "insane" is to call The Master "a bit mean".

I need to focus more on the PMMM side of this crossover. It's wierd, none of my other fics have this problem.

The following does not help either.
    ============================

Homura heard Dalek Sec long before she reached the warehouse; it was a sound of unending frustration and anger, long ago rendered incoherent and void of meaning.

She continued on her way, reaching the warehouse and giving a polite knock on the steel roll-up door. There was silence on the other end, before the curtain was rolled upwards by electric motors, revealing Dalek Sec, who was in the process of furiously shaking an old monitor.

Homura twitched an eyebrow at this odd display.

    “What are you doing?”

Sec made a noise that spoke of unspeakable, horrific and strangely specific violence, before seemingly collecting itself and not-too-gently setting the monitor back on a table.

    “I WAS DO-ING NO-THING. THIS DID NOT HAP-PEN.”

An eyebrow was raised a millimeter; Homura wondered what this particular outburst had been about. Earlier in the day, she had walked in on Sec having a shouting match with someone on the phone over supposedly defective merchandise.

“…Kyouko has agreed to our terms, she’ll be waiting at the park tomorrow.” She entered the warehouse, careful not to step on any of the wiring strewn on the floor.

“I’m still surprised Madoka could convince you to keep her alive.”

    “SHE HAD A CON-VIN-CING AR-GU-MENT.”

“I’m still not entirely certain this is a good idea… no matter, what have you discovered so far?”

    “FA-SCI-NA-TING THI-NGS; FOR IN-STANCE, WERE YOU A-WARE THAT THE ME-TAL FRA-ME-WORK FOR A SO-UL GEM IS WHAT TRANS-FORMS INTO A GRIEF SE-ED?”

“Yes, but I do not see how this is relevant.”

    “IT ME-ANS THAT THE E-NE-MY IS RE-PURPOSING GRI-EF SE-EDS GI-VEN TO IT BY PUE-LLA MA-GI AS THE BA-SIS FOR MO-RE PUE-LLA MA-GI.” Sec sounded oddly… excited as it said this. The alien made adjustments to some of the machinery surrounding it, “THIS IM-PLIES THAT A GRI-EF SE-ED CAN BE TRANS-FORMED IN-TO A SO-UL GEM, AND A WI-TCH CAN BE-COME A PUE-LLA MA-GI; WH-ICH IS EX-CE-LENT FOR MY PLAN.”

Homura opened her mouth to protest, Kyubey had told her that turning a Witch back into a Puella Magi was impossible.

No, that wasn’t what had happened. She had asked Kyubey if turning a Witch back into a Puella Magi could be done, not if a Witch could be turned into a different Puella Magi.

Homura had long ago learned to focus on the exact meaning of what Kyubey said, but she hadn’t ever thought the Incubator would be doing the exact same thing. She made a mental note of it.

“So, in theory, what you intend to do just went from “Impossible” to “extremely unlikely”.”

    “YES. THE-RE ARE STILL GA-PS IN THE IN-FOR-MA-TION… FOR EX-AM-PLE, WH-AT IS THIS MA-TE-RIAL MA-DE OF? IT KE-EPS CON-FU-SING MY REA-DINGS… THERE IS AL-SO NO IN-DI-CA-TION OF HOW A WITCH CAN PRO-DUCE A BU-BBLE U-NI-VERSE OR HOW E-MO-TION-AL E-NER-GY CAN BE CON-VER-TED INTO AN-TI-EN-TRO-PIC E-NER-GY…” Dalek Sec jammed its plunger into a makeshift interface, making a cable spark. “THIS EN-TI-TY YOU CALL A “SOUL”… I SHALL RE-QUIRE MORE DE-TAILED REA-DINGS TO E-VEN BE-GIN TO MAKE SENSE OF IT.”

Homura shrugged. “I suppose magic wouldn’t make much sense.”

    “I RE-FUSE TO GI-VE UP AND RE-DUCE MY-SELF TO U-SING “MA-GIC” AS AN EX-PLA-NA-TION FOR E-VERY-THING.” Sec spat out.

...and another thing: Drawing contest! I challenge the posters to draw Zoya. Or Sec and Homu doing something badass. Or me being besieged by my inflated ego.
  7. Dio212 Budding Supervillain

Oooo boy, things are getting good now. From the way this sounds, it's almost as if Sec is trying to repurpose dead puella magi/ witches into new Daleks...

I just realized the implications of that... a being of pure hate, being turned into a being that only feels hate.... OH GOD HATE SINGULARITY!
  8. alvaro84 Energy saver

That would be... an entirely new kind of... awesome? :wtf: :D
  9. Delusionist Seeker of Truth

I thought witches were more like beings of despair than beings of hate.
  10. Brellin Bolos are magical

Curious, shouldn't Sec have said something about magic not existing because the Time Lords got rid of it? Thus opening the doors for Sec to do a little exposition on the Time Lords so that Homu has this terrible mental image of what a Time Lord is like right up until The Doctor shows up and spoils it? Only to later realise after The Doctor starts going Time Lord Victorious on QB's ass that maybe the terrible image she had built up in her mind wasn't even close to just how bad they can really get? I mean, Family of Blood. The Doctor is fucking *evil*.
  11. Gore17 Lord of Insanity

Well, magic did occasionally slip through the cracks, though the Time Lords quickly stamped them out. However, with the destruction of Gallifrey, magic isn't destroyed as soon as it manifests, so there is probably a small amount of it in existance.
  12. Darth Artemis Hero Prinny

That would entail Sayaka becoming a dalek along with the rest, and I'm pretty sure Ix indicated in the last thread that he does not in fact have that kind of fate worse than death lined up for her.
  13. Gore17 Lord of Insanity

Would it be a fwtd? Would It?
  14. Darth Artemis Hero Prinny

What, becoming part of an alien species which is only capable of feeling the purest form of rage known to sentient life? Yeah, I'd say that's not much better than turning into a witch, never mind the whole "must live forever in a glorified garbage can" business.
  15. Brellin Bolos are magical

The Daleks could totally design something else thats just as effective if not moreso. Sec comes right out says the only reason they don't is because they keep it that way to drive themselves to advance to overcome its limitations. Hell, if a TARDIS can look and act like a person i'm fairly certain the Daleks can manage some sort of reasonable expy of it too. Especially the SCIENCE! Dalek that Sec is.
  16. biigoh Hmmmm?

I think that Daleks do not so much HATE everything alive.

    An amusing thought.

The Daleks do not so much HATE everything. Rather, their innate/native natural enemy/their HATE is focused on a singular source; The Doctor.

He's like the polar opposite of Dalek. Something that they MUST destroy. And they KNOW this on a subconcious level, a HATE that's beyond "in the genes", or souls or whatever dickery you want to use to describe how much they hate him.

Because they HATE him. His species is caught in the side blast of the HATE, and in their efforts to destroy him, they need to destroy the Time Lords...

But you would ask, why the HATE for everything non-Dalek?

Simple. They HATE the Doctor. They HATE the OTHER Time Lords because they happen to belong to the same species as the Doctor. They HATE the various "non-Daleks" because the Time Lords' rule as the first sentient culture that tailored reality to work the way they want to, set reality so that subsequent life forms that arose would resemble them...

So the REAL reason the Daleks HATE everything Non-Dalek is that everything Non-Dalek resembles the Time Lords, who are the same species as the Doctor.

    ^_^
  17. Gore17 Lord of Insanity

Nah, they hated everything before they became aware of the Doctor properly.
  18. FaceMeltor CARRY HARDER

The only thing that we know about what would happen to her is that she would be put into a Dalek casing.

Since I do not know much about Doctor Who, I cannot tell if the KILLMAIMBURN attitude comes from the metal casing that they are inside or is actually a part of their bio-engineered brains. Since I do not believe the casing to be much more than a vehicle to ride around in with maybe a few electronical gizmos added, comparable to a car with a navigation device or the 'I never asked for this' body of Adam Jensen (just differently shaped), I would put my money on the latter.

Also, he never said directly he would turn her into a Dalek. I think that in the end he's just trying to build some sort of receptacle to make her soul gem / grief seed compatible with the Dalek body.

Now I imagine Dalek Sec to be a nerdy twenty-something, looking for the right adapter cable to connect his PersoCom with a DVD player.
  19. Gore17 Lord of Insanity

No, no, he is a mad scientist investigating the cadavers of his enemies so he may resurrect them as his personal army.
  20. More very vicious if you go after the people around him or those he considers 'innocents'. Recall what the Tenth said during his regeneration "No second chances. That is the kind of man I am."
  21. Gore17 Lord of Insanity

Just had a thought. If the doctor went back in time and opened a account with the Monte dei Paschi di Siena at it's founding, would he get a interest rate, and would it still be there in the 2000's? Would he even have any usable money?
  22. Dalek Ix Angry Mexican Dalek

@Face: Guys, remember what happened the last time Sec tried making a Dalek casing? And that was with weeks of planning and non-stop work.

@Gore: That's the sort of image I wished to convey, although I think I need to try harder.

Repeat after me: Sec. Isn't. Making. Sayaka. Into. A. Dalek. And neither is he making other Puella into Daleks.

The problem is that Sec is from a time and place where magic is just plain impossible. He has no idea about magic being essentially banned from the universe by the Time Lords. Remember, he isn't like The Doctor, who has a perfect version of history and who can sense time itself, his version of history is much less than complete.

He can do plenty of exposition on Time Lords as per the LGTW, which should be enough to give Homu the nightmarish mental image you are suggesting, although considering his previous experience with The Doctor, he's not going to portray him in as bad a light as any other Dalek would.

He'd still tell how bloody scary The Doctor can be, as well as some stories from his time as XO of the DIG.
  23. Gore17 Lord of Insanity

When Sec succeeds, make him go "IT I-S A-LIVE!" and promptly crack out the maniacal laughter. Possibly also have him do a victory dance, and his reputation will be cemented.
  24. A search for 'Dancing Dalek' turned up the following:

    [yt]Otoj7rOJFA4[/yt]
  25. So he's become an Xcom scientist then.

That doesn't rule out making witches into Daleks, has it?
