Assuming neo doesnt get a lucky ricochet pete solidly takes this with higher base stats, pre cog, and his web shooters
You mean Neo before he awakens as the One? In that case, he's barely superhuman (mostly in his jumps, really, and his punching speed). Spiderman easily takes him apart.
Their strength feats aren't all that high pre-Smith Apocalypse. This is superhuman now? That's why I said - barely superhuman. As in, he is superhuman, but not by a great amount.
Bullet timing isn't "Barely superhuman" And smashing through concrete pillars IMO is on par with spider man. His fighting skills also far surpass spidey's.
I kind of recall him dodging bullets after they're fired when the Agent in question was firing them at something like one thousand rounds a second. That's way faster than Spiderman. Also, more importantly, Matrix rebels can't be killed outside of instantaneous death. If they have even a short breather they can get back up like nothing's happened. Spiderman tires out physically, which is kind of a problem for him compared to guys who literally ignore fatigue.
... Where the hell did you get one thousand rounds per second? And note that he barely dodged them, still got nicked, and his movements while dodging were rather limited at that. Still superhuman, but not by that great an amount. I don't recall any Matrix rebel's wounds healing super fast in the Matrix. Citation needed.
Spiderman dodged bullets in a gag scene as well but when it really mattered he failed to dodge tazer rounds.
If we're talking about the movie, he dodged point blank gunfire, and only got hit by one tazer round over several fired at him, and even that was when he was in midair and in a position which made it impossible to dodge.
Don't remember the scene too well but i'll take your word for it. Also, i noticed that an agent had a feat of dodging 2 pistols fired simultaneously(http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwrel&NR=1&v=ggFKLxAQBbc) After he began to "believe he was the one" he could nearly match that speed against smith.
Yeah, but even Morpheus could 'keep up' with Agents for a short while. For the most part, unless they're dodging bullets, Agents don't really use their super speed. 'Snot like they need it.
This would be a quick fight, Pete's precog and huge advantage in durability and strength should see him through. From what Neo showed pre-reality control his punches would at best be a minor inconvenience to Pete, if that, while a single return punch/kick from Pete should immediately end the fight.
Pete has used a building girder as a baseball bat. He's thrown cars, trucks, swung Hyde so fast once on his web that he sent him through something like 10 walls. When dealing with very dangerous baseline human enemies he has literally finger flicked them into unconsciousness.
Well gee that clears that up doesn't it? Maybe next time include that in the OP. As for movie SM, he still has pretty good strength feats way above Neo. SM2, holding that place (Docs hideout) together for a while, holding that thing (part of the hideout) from crushing Mary-Jane, stopping a freakin train etc etc.
Smashing through concrete subway pillars casually seems to be on par with lifting a ton with extreme difficulty but i was forgetting that feat sorry.
He's repeatedly been shown to be superhumanly strong in that film, so you don't really have to worry, gr33nG1ANT. They actually played up the super strength aspect more in that film than they did in the previous films.
