Aang, in the Avatar State as it occured in his battle with Fire Lord Ozai, vs... well, what? What would be a reasonable adversary for him in this state? Be they technological or "magical" in nature. Curbstomps should be avoided if possible, please. Looking for fights that would be close enough to award to either side. The place of combat will be neutral, but with all 4 elements available to Aang. To make things simple, we will just "merge" the two universes together to form a totally neutral point. All things in each universe act upon the other as they would anything from their own universe. Oh, and please, again, do not relate curbstomps... I don't need to know that Exhar Khun could simply blow up Aang's planet with his mind...
Lina inverse. Normal she can pull crazy stunts without trying too hard. Put her in avatar of god mode and she will beat Avatar Aang. A large number of Naruto Ninjas could pull it off Bleach characters can do it This is just of the top of my head
A lot of the upper tier Bleach guys could pull this off. Most of the S-Rank Ninja's from Naruto could do it as well. Several of the Nanoha cast could give him a run for his money (actually no, they'd probably just stomp him since he doesn't have magical barriers/shields) Alucard could take him, Luke Valentine, Rip van Winkle, Incognito, Seras...the list goes on. Plenty of people that could fight him and potentially win if he's in avatar state, but not a lot that won't outright stomp him.
No, that would be a curbstomp. Revan could just force lightning Aang to death in a single bolt, or (assuming he knows it, not unreasonable considering you learn it automatically in the second game if you full darkside) Force Crush which in canon can't be defended against and will just absolutely maul Aang. Granted, the Force Crush is a big maybe, but Revan can *definatly* pull off the force lightning. Probably force-stasis, force drain, plauge/contagion, or even just a mind-fuck "you want to stop attacking me" and then stab Aang in the face. Like I said, it would be a total stomp, Aang just doesn't have any defense against Revans more esoteric powers.
And how exactly is Revan going to handle boulders being hurled at him at subsonic speeds by a guy, who for all intents and purposes, is rocket propelled?
He'd probably chuck them back at him. Followed by breaking Aang's neck or making all the blood vessels in his head explode or some such (which, yes, has and can be done with the Dark Side). Brellin's right, Revan's probably too much of a stomp, so I shall retract him. How about Malak? Some of the power, but lacking the in the intelligence department and proper usage of Dark Side powers.
I fail to see what your problem is. But then you are Dark Asendant, a man whose ways of thinking are alien to me. You mean non-Avatar Aang? I ask because we have pitted Palps against Comet Empowered Ozai before, and the outcome hinged on whether or not we were using movie Palps or post Resurrection Wankatine.
I'd bet Avatar Aang over Revan quite a lot of the time. The projectiles are too many and too fast to block all of 'em. Plus terrain control and all that. Air shield, a bullet likely won't get through. I'd think the upper tier Bleach guys would be too much in raw power, but Naruto ones sound good. The likes of Kakuzu and Kisame and such, someone like Pain would be too much.
I'm saying that you have an extremely overinflated sense of what Revan is capable of, tinted by fanboyism.
Meh, I agree with him. Revan can wave his hand and hit Aang with a Force storm that Aang can't defend against (there is no lead up to it afterall, unlikely lightning bending). Or Revan could hit him with a no-defense contagion, or mind-fuck him into stopping his attack only to get blasted in the face with force lightning. Or Force drain making all his powers go away cause he doesn't have the energy to support them, or any number of other things. Hell now that I think about it Revan has a force ability that lets him shrug off elemental damage, sucks to be the Avatar I guess! Oh as for the denial of terrain and super-fast earth bullets...Precognition >>> that stuff. If Ozai, a completely not-precog could do it, Revan definatly can.
It's less Revan's brute force power (his strongest possible ability, I think, is some type of regional devastation level Force Storm that Darth Bane learned, IIRC, from one of Revan's holocrons, but that required a rather lengthy charge up time) more that Aang has no defense against Force based attacks. There is literally nothing stopping Revan from snapping his neck by thinking about it.
Elemental damage doesn't include "high-velocity barrage of super dense rock." Sure, he can take Aang out... but I don't see him mounting much of a defense either, Avatar Aang can waste him pretty fast. Also, stuff like mind-fucking or force drain? We're talking hundreds if not thousands of combined minds and similar amounts of energy. If he tries that, I think he'll be dead before Aang is. If Raven choses the wrong attack strategy, he's dead. Aang can do his attacks pretty much just by thinking of them too, after all, and he's got oodles of firepower in the super avatar state.
So in essence, you're saying it comes down to A. Homework and B. Who gets the Alpha Strike off first?
Aang's lightning redirection should work just fine against Revan's lightning- force lightning is obviously not true lightning speed, so he should be able to react to it in time. Mind rape is also not a viable option against Avatar State Aang, since while in the Avatar State he's channeling all the spirits of his past lives. Force choking or crushing is probably Revan's best bet.
Force lightning would work just fine. Half the reason the people in ATLA can block/channel lightning is because there is a substantial and *obvious* lead up to the lightning being thrown. There is no such lead up with Force lightning, literally one momenty they and standing there and the next lightning is coming out of their hands and frying you. edit- Also this isn't a single bolt, Revan fires out force storms, multiple bolts sustained over several seconds, potentially longer.
Iroh caught a natural lightning bolt once. Also, there's physically shielding it, perhaps with the water that's one of the things he carries around in uber-Avatar state, while his offense does it's thing. A choke or other more unblockable force effect would be better.
That makes it easier for them, yes, but it doesn't mean they can't redirect it if shot more quickly. It really depends on range, and given Avatar State Aang's tendency to float hundreds of feet in the air, that range is going to be long. Force Storm as portrayed in KotOR fires a single bolt at each person, not multiple bolts at a single person. Revan doesn't have much feats outside of game mechanics, IIRC, just hype.
Remember - the Avatar has the cosmic energy of the universe (and of all past avatars and their knowledge) at his/her disposal... I think universal cosmic energy can overpower the Force
