Wasn't their first reincarnation different from their first lives due to the Queen's screwing up with what would have been otherwise a regular reincarnation for them? Were the changes on everybody else that extreme when they reincarnated again?
Ok so options to move past this, and maybe prevent future fuck ups. 1: Elect a core creative Director to head the project, confirm or reject plots, etc. Someone to guide the herd recognized by everyone. 2: Form a Triumvirate of directors, likely the founders (Desu, DA and myself), though possibly others. 3: Run a poll for any major decisions. 4: Ignore it and keep going as is. 5: Get one or more people to keep the TVtropes and/or the Wiki updated and organized. And to help keep the timeline straight. This could be tacked on any of the above options as well. --------------- Also I support the ignoring future arcs and focusing on arc 1 thing. That sounds like a good idea.
I don't recall QS "screwing up" anything. They only reincarnated once. After that it was just Usagi bringing them back to life a couple of times. 6. Assign responsibilities to individuals based on interest. Rhaka can be the Keeper of the Wiki. I'm the Editor Supreme. Goblin is the Grand Troper, and so on. Like when Adrian was around to post his link indexes for us, that was something he did on his own.

I would say yes, seeing as how Usagi had her own personality long before Serenity started manifesting in her. That personality was the product of being raised as a normal girl in a modern time period as opposed to Serenity the Moon Princess being raised as royalty. I sincerely doubt, for instance, that Serenity shares Usagi's love of video games.
I can't say for sure except for Hotaru and Setsuna. Setsuna died using Time Stop, which caused her already-born and grown reincarnation to wake up with her memories to take up the mantle. Hotaru died and was reborn as a baby on the spot. I don't remember whether the Inners came back to life first and Usagi set the clock back after, or whether she did it all in one go - they did lose their memories until things started to get weird again (in the anime, at least). Then the memories all came back.

But I note that of those three examples, two of them have little to no impact on the plot, and one of them is an unlimited "I can veto anything" power. And I also note that the two that have no impact on the plot, you give to other people, and the one that gives control over most of the project's direction, you give to yourself. Therefore, out of academic interest, what happens if more than one person is "interested" in the responsibility of Editor Supreme? [1] Otherwise known as phsyics coursework.
Editor Supreme has been locked down since October by way of my FF.net profile being the one that's hosting the final version of the story. We could theoretically switch it out to someone else's profile but that would screw up the people who are following us. I get new author alerts and Favorites notices at least three or four times a week even during slow periods, changing to someone else's profile would probably lose us a good chunk of our readership. If someone else really wanted the job and was worried about me abusing this power they could always post another copy up on MediaMiner or someplace as a check against abuse of the position.
Considering Serenity was in the past and unable to know about videogames... So, their reincarnation is starting from sperm and egg stage? I thought it was they appeared again with time, since their corpses are still around in the current time. Not the ones on the moon, but on Earth. From the time you're probably saying Usagi brought them back to life. So, they have several methods to coming back to life then
So... Are we going to keep arguing or are we going to try and fix things? Ideas for arc one need to start getting made, snips need to start being posted and someone, regardless of who, needs to deal with the wiki and start organizing us a canon timeline. Or at least be ready to do so if we must work it out. Constructive, we need to be it more.
I apologize if this incredibly out of date, but weren't there a few snippets about an american OC that found/was chosen by a Belkan device? She was trying to track down the MGs in Tokyo, after having seen Akiko's rescue. With a magical Kraken or something following her for killing her mother/daughter Kaiju.

The "normal" reincarnations over the course of ten thousand years would have been different. If Usagi reincarnated rather than just resurrected the Senshi after Metallia, then the "reincarnations" were pretty much perfect flash clones, though, because they went right back to their lives with no one, not even themselves, knowing the difference for at least a while (until the memories of the previous timeline returned). I'm not completely sure how Pluto's reincarnation worked. The old Pluto died using Time Stop, and Meioh Setsuna, who wasn't a senshi before, suddenly remembered being Sailor Pluto. Either Pluto was naturally reincarnated *while still alive*, or her resurrection retconned reality into creating the person Meioh Setsuna so she could become Sailor Pluto right after the first one died. Hotaru was very definitely reincarnated, but not flash grown the way the Inners would have to have been. She still grew up way faster than normal (talk about growth spurts!), though. And finally, the senshi were all resurrected together after Galaxia, though I don't remember how (if their previously dead bodies woke up, or they were created from scratch again due to not having bodies anymore). If the latter, they were once again perfect copies. It's all very weird, though.
The explanation I've seen is that Meioh Setsuna is actually the Sailor Pluto from Crystal Tokyo gone back in time on NQS's orders. There's probably a couple of plot holes relating to future knowledge in there somewhere, though.
Will see what I can do. We are discussing things in PMs atm, but the limit is 5 per PM, there are 6 of us already. If someone could set up an IRC or something for this. (preferably something free and quick to start up.) We could have a better form of communication. I have a skype account I never use, so if everyone has that would go use it. Other then that I lack anything else. And that's in general, some way to talk in real time would help this project. Alot.
Sorry Battle, I've already sent the message, and this forum doesn't seem to be able to save sent messages, so I can't copypaste to you until I get a reply back from either LurkingGoblin, dan-heron, Darth, gamlain or AngryDesu. And I am going to sleep in a while, so you will have to wait a while longer, unless the aforementioned are kind enough to forward it on to you as a potential contributor. To summarise, though, I am suggesting organizing a group of core authors, editors and founders, who will share their plots and ideas so that each knows what the other is doing, and ideas can be discussed and included/vetoed as necessary. New authors would have to submit their plots and become a part of this group in order to contribute. I'm also suggesting rebuilding the whole project from the beginning, seeing what can be salvaged and what must go out, and begin a rewrite of the current chapters. AngryDesu has already agreed to rewriting the first two chpaters because of the critique I posted in the C&C thread anyway, so we can mark these new chapters as the rebirth of the project as a whole.
I'm going to post this here rather than in PMs so as to circumvent the limitations of the PM system and make sure everyone's in on the idea. I also agree to the idea of having a few core authors since that's basically what we've been doing for about 3/4s of the project. However who gets to participate beyond those writers should not be something that any single author can decide. Veto power should reside with the group as a whole, not with any given individual. I sort of object to the idea of a complete rewrite at this point. While I can see the benefits to doing so we have yet to see how Gamlain's and AngryDesu's work fits together in the final product; it may do so seamlessly for all we know, though there are issues with some of Desu's characters getting lost in the shuffle of Gamlain's work, for example Dark Nanoha hasn't appeared at all so far as I can remember. On the other hand, if Gamlain's work needs a complete overhaul it's best that we see how badly it needs one on the first go-around so we don't wind up making third and fourth rewrites.
Dark Nanoha has a few appearances already, but she hasn't been called "Dark Nanoha" of course. Remember the girl who called one of the NF Executives "Mom"? That's her. Anyway, I'm willing to help with the core team if you want feel I can provide help. Darth, officially, we only have a couple chapters written. I won't be hard to work our way up, especially now that we have the "main" objectives already written by Gam.
On a related note Thy-Robocop just suggested in a PM that we get a forum for this to clean things up. Which sounds great. So... how did BTRR get one and how can we get one as well?
Which is why I suggested that each author post his/her full summary of their plot. Preferably in PM's to the group of authors, to avoid issues with spoilers, either from readers who prefer an unspoilt experience, or from authors who would prefer to keep their plot twists secret. I suggested to LurkingGobling making a separate forum, or something a bit more permanent, for authors to discuss things. We could also do things in live chat, but I'm warning you now that I live in the UK, and I may have timing issues with setting up live communications with any american authors.
That's part of what concerns me. Fics that enter a period of rewriting have a tendency to cease all forward momentum and die out without ever getting another update. I see this as being especially likely in our case because Desu isn't exactly the most prolific writer in the world. And speak of Desu, we haven't heard from him since this morning so I hesitate to go ahead and do anything before he chimes in on this latest clusterfuck.
that may happen when it's just one author, Darth. If there are more people doing the rewrite it will keep on moving. If Desu can't, then you as the next well versed person about MSLN here, it'd fall to you. Or the others and we'd only get input from you two. Again, if we have the main objectives down, it's only of getting there.
