Amazon was not a proper troll. Dayton was subtle enough to stay for years, and just persistent enough to make us question wether or not he truly believe what he said, or was just trolling. He was the very model of a proper troll.

If AmazonPrincess is the best SB can do nowadays, I feel ashamed :(
2. legionare DEATH KORPS

Though he tried too hard to troll, it was a good chuckle to read nonetheless. Kudos my fellow Chinese, TO THE STARS AND BEYOND!
3. PsyckoSama Ia! Ia! Kamina fthagn!

It seems they were in such dire need for a skillful troll they invited foamy back...
4. Teen Spirit Clone Murderer

Yes but it's also a biological weapon designed to attack my colon.

Actually if you look at the calorie count its better for you than most large hamburgers. For one it actually cuts out a massive number of carbohydrates by doing away with the bun. In fact lets to a compare and contrast.

Double Down
Calories: 540
Grams of Fat: 32
mg Sodium: 1380

Big Mac w/ Cheese
Calories: 704
Grams of Fat: 44
mg Sodium: 1148

Yeah. I'll take the Double Down thanks much have a nice day.
6. Teen Spirit Clone Murderer

I don't care what your facts say that Double down did horrible things to my body.
7. PsyckoSama Ia! Ia! Kamina fthagn!

Facts don't lie!

And Double Downs are Delicious!

Hopefully this lights a fire under the West's pants to get their act together. We can't let space fall to the red menace! :D

Yay, hooray for China, happy space day everyone, even though the Tiangong is not a "proper" space station; it's more of a prototype cargo tug being used for preliminary life-in-space experimentation. Still, good for them. I'm skeptical, but maybe you're right, maybe a new space race would prove beneficial for humanity (as a whole, not just us rich fellows).

That being said, I've always had a bit of a bone to pick with China. If you haven't guessed, I'm not American so I could care less about whatever outsourcing they're doing that's ruining the US economy. No, my comment is a bit more stereotypical.

Okay, here goes: I'm all for being reasonable and not demonizing a nation over its blood-stained, communist past. I'm not and never have been a bleeding-heart hippie. However, whenever I see something that could lift China up in my eyes, a small part of my brain goes "but what about Tibet?"

I've long held the belief that nations can't be expected to have morals. Morals are for individuals or small groups. Nations, especially bloated ones like the Great Powers (USA, Russia, China, EU - yes I consider it one emergent nation) have interests, and are considered free by default to pursue them by whatever means necessary. Still, the problem of Tibet baffles me. What does China have to gain by stomping on those poor people?

Nothing, but they have a very strong geopolitical interest in controlling Tibet. It puts their border on the Himalayas, which is a very defensible natural barrier - perhaps the most defensible in the world. If they allowed Tibet to go free, that would create an open pathway to the Sichuan/Yunnan heartland. They're especially concerned about Tibet becoming an Indian client state, which is why they are particularly unhappy about Indian support for the Dalai Lama. To them, an independent Tibet is a foothold for the Indians on the wrong side of the Himalayas, and a dagger pointed at the heart of China. No way they can allow that in security terms.

Same reason why the US got nervous about IRBMs on Cuba, really.

If China is seriously worried about a land war on their home territory, their higherups are either on too many drugs or not enough.
17. MJ12 Commando Al-Foamy Subversive

The opinion of Tibetan occupation in China isn't "why are we stomping on these poor people", it's "why the fuck are we wasting so much money on brown people Tibetans?"

I think this needs to be mentioned because that's the other side of the coin. Okay, China's been occupying Tibet for a while. On the other hand it's also been throwing a pile of money and giving teachers incentives to go there. And like every story, the other side is important to know.
18. Harry Leferts That Suave Kaiju

No, they're just being smart and prepared for any eventuality.
19. Galahad Walking tank

Was not Tibet basically a feudal kingdom before China moved in ? I heard while Dalai Lama tries to sound like a saint life in Tibet was very awful under theocratic rule. I don't think the peasant there will enjoy going back to being serfs again.

So that cuts it down to Von Neumann Replicator swarms, a zombie apocalypse or a Posleen/Zerg-expy invasion. Good to see that China likes reading Ringo's novels. No human army is ever going to be a threat to them on their home soil, certainly.

Also, going by that logic, it is permissible to conquer Mexico and everything else down to the far side of the Panama Canal. Which, admittedly, has a plus side to it from my stand point... but somehow I don't see the action going over well on the world stage.
21. Kensai Gamma rabbit herds cats covered in burning shit.

They have long memories. When the USA was founded, they were on their latest dynasty. They are extremely pragmatic when it comes to geopolitics.

Whether it's "permissible" or not is irrelevant in international affairs. At that level, it's literally might rules... and right is nowhere.
22. Hectonkhyres Impressed with Florida Man's Work Ethic

Which is fine. As long as that holds true for all possible sides and people remember that.
23. Bryan The Great Goof!

For fear of jumping in here, him not being an American by birth and then becoming an American via naturalization is not an argument to make against Amazon Princess, IMO. Though I guess it doesn't matter since she is banned now.
24. Harry Leferts That Suave Kaiju

Right. Because China has not fought a land war with any of it's neighbours... Oh, wait.
25. Hectonkhyres Impressed with Florida Man's Work Ethic

Snrk. Yeah. They were absolutely on the cusp of being conquered.
