Bringing back a old thread, I just would like to know: What kind of Curbstomps would you like to see? For me I want to see: Tiberium Wars GDI face off against the Fire Nation from Avatar the last airbender. So basically a few GDI basses enter the Earth Kingdom and are attacked by the Fire Nation. GDI confuses them for NOD and attacks them back. How much of a stop would this be?
yeah, the GDI get assraped in a couple days. me? I want to see an empire of high level undead and or incorporeal DnD casters go up against the culture. gridfire that, asshole.
As the Imperium expands during the Great Crusade, the Angron notices a planet that looks like a very primitive Holy Terra. As his Legion and himself descend into the planet, they notice that the planet is filled with mutants! These are mutants like he never saw before, some of them had mind powers, some of them could turn into beasts like the ones used by the Space Wolves. And some of them could sparkle.

What are the GDI going to eat? Where are they going to get their fuel? They're sure as shit not going to be building anything, given that there's no Tiberium. Sure, you'd assume that a 'base' would have stockpiles, but how long could they last while prosecuting a war against a nation on the other side of an ocean? Like, a month? Two?
Yeah, a bunch of magical guys with turn of the century tech loses hard to a global futuristic force that can literally build entire bases in minutes, has complete orbital supremacy with spaceships and big honkin space guns, weapons that can wipe out entire cities (GDI still has nukes and I believe their ion cannons have similar yields). There were serious debates on if the 1870's British Empire could fight the Fire Nation. GDI would rapestomp the Fire Nation.
Tiberium. I assume we are pitting ALL of GDI and not just a tiny part of their army? That implies they get all of their infrastructure. If this was a bigass portal connecting the two, GDI sends through a MCV with some escorts, builds base to secure portal, and start pouring assets through. Launch an Ion cannon in orbit, kill whatever foolish bastard glares at them. GDI victory. We aren't going with your assumption that GDI is all of a sudden gonna starve to death like they always do....oh wait......they never do against NOD do they? They seem perfectly capable of fighting a fifty year long war with significant technological progression while fighting an element that literally created an apocalypse among the modern day powers to where GDI took over.
nope. the guy said "a few bases in the earth kingdom". no tiberium, no reinforcements. just a couple buildings and a few dozen men.
This says a few bases enter the Earth Kingdom. There is nothing about them being cut off however. We are assuming this is a scenario that just starts with a few bases initially but gets reinforced if needed. Never mind the fact that bases build freakishly fast. And most of GDI's stuff is an OOC problem for the Fire Nation. As I said, build an Ion cannon, and obliterate at will. Orbital supremacy is pretty decisive. WW2 airplanes murder Fire Nation stuff, and GDI's stuff is a century ahead. A few bases enter, where some enter, more will follow. Besides, he wanted to see this curbstomp happen, so I assume that means GDI is able to use it's full might. Unless you seriously think that Fire Nation can take on all of GDI.....in which case you are seriously delusional. GDI would beat them faster than nBSG loses to Warhammer 40k.
You are assuming they are cut off? You're the one making assumptions. It's not all that hard to see OP meant that GDI was able to call upon whatever it could, since he hoped that it would stomp the Fire Nation. He only OUTLINED the initial scenario. I'm sure that OP can clarify. And since when have you been an expert on spacebattles debate? You've been here a whole 2 months? Please stop trying to talk to me like you are some veteran forum warrior. Burden of proof is on you that GDI is apparently cut off. OP only said GDI bases are on Earth Kingdom territory. Last I checked, you were not OP and cannot dictate the terms of the scenario. Prove that the Fire Nation can do jack shit to GDI forces. GDI would murderstomp a modern day military, and Fire Nation can't deal with anything from world war 2, much less a futuristic military like GDI. GDI is up there in terms of ground combat.
I would personally derive a good deal of pleasure from seeing the Knights of the Round Table deal with the cast of F/SN.
