Well, the Military Offroad is still in our posession. Gained the VS3 truck to replace the Ural Civilian. And hot damn we had a good night finding Coyote backpacks.
So, sulking around Brezino, I walk into an appartment block and...find a Ghillie suit. AWESOME! I think. With this DMR and this new suit, I'll be able to do what I've been planning to do for a long time; go on highly populated servers and carefully stake out NW Airfield, or Stary Camp, and put 7.62 rounds through the heads of Snipers lurking in the bushes waiting for the single reason of shooting poor guys just trying to pick up some gear. The Guardian Angel, the Dark Knight e.t.c. So I at once hit to change into the suit.... And suddenly, I find myself half inside the building, half inside the ocean on the coast. I am very much 'WTF' as to what is going on here, but just swim 'down' to the next landing in the building and then I am back on my feet. Of course, I have had my rifle, sidearm, rangefinder and general invintory (including the suit) lost now. Just gone, as if I had waded out into the deep deep water or something. Glorious! Well in SOME good news, my Alice pack was still on my back, and I had been careful to keep a good split of gear, so I didn't loose any of my key medical supplies (including my precious twin pack of Antibiotics), still had my water bottles, some food and spare bandages...but thats it. Also thankfully, my toolbelt/webbing gear was still present, so very luckily I was able to pull my hatchet out and wack my way out of the building and zombies who were around. SO I headed up to the Southern supermarket next to the hospital in Brezino. Server was very sparsly populated, only 3-4 people apart from me in fact. So I wasn't terribly concerned, if still being careful. Beat my way through the Zombies around the back of the supermarket, picked up a new revolver and raided a number of 1911's for their ammo, which made me feel much better. Threw a few cans into my general invintory, thought about taking a tent but just couldn't care enough, and then skulked across to the hospital. Hmm. The windows are smashed in. Still plenty of Zombies walking around, still no sign of activity or sound of activity and I say "F*#kit" that fortune in this game often favours the bold, so I hurrdily went in and swept the hospital. Picked up just a couple of extra painkillers and a morphine before heading out, swinging through the tent to the West as I headed 'up' the hill towards the road, which I planned to cross and make for the treeline zig-zag style, until I was deep enough to disconnect. And I suddenly come to a stunned halt. There on the road, dead ahead, is a bus. And not just any bus, but a shiney NEW looking bus. I look around in a panic sure that I was being watched, but a sweep of the area around me, around the bus, roof of hospital and so on, sees no-one, so I just move closer and check it out. Yup its drivable and I get in...and its at full health in all aspects, with perhaps 80% fuel on board. I would never normally steal someones vehicle in this game, its just...tacky, but this time my mind declares that this is appropriate Karma for my loss of my weapons and gear earlier, so I kick over the engine and throw the thottle Forward, heading North out of the town. Its loud enough that someone could be shooting at me and I wouldn't have a clue, all I can say is there were no text messages, but without a side channel, I could have easily gotten out of range by the time furious people started demanding their bus back. I headed on towards Gorka stopping at that Gas station near the other side of the Breznio treeline to have a look....the bus isn't exactly LOADED with loot, but I happily swap out my Alice pack for a Coyotee, load up a couple of bits of cooked meat, and get back in. The bus has spare wheels, some mags and a couple of different pistols, nothing to really get my fancy, but I am more than happy to just use the transport. So I spend about half an hour to fourty minutes trawling for crash sites around the open ground without luck. I did make a stop behind the Stary military camp where there were bodies EVERYWHERE, but as Zombies spawned as I came in, I wasn't TOO concerned, and did a rapid and evasive check of the tents, picking up an M16A2, hardly the BEST weapon, but a hell of a lot better then the double barrel shotgun in the bus I refused to touch. Got back in, did some more trawling for crash sites without luck, and then about an hour after I got the bus (and had not seen ANYONE disconnect, evne if I did see a couple of deaths) I came to a halt somewhere around Polona with a still more or less good bus down 2/3rds its fuel, put a marker on the map saying "Thanks guys for that, I left it here!" and disconnected. Hopefully they got their bus back
Some questions. First, thank you for the teamspeak addy. My question, how to use it? I'm running teamspeak 3's client, so do I just open up say, "Connections" then add the server address in the 'server address' window? the whole thing? Up to the .com, or the numbers after it too? And the pword, do I put that on 'server pword' or channel pword? Also, is the SB server up? I can see it, with 3 of you guys on, but I can't connect to it.
Now there's 2 guys with russian seeming names and another dude, but the server is otherwise not accessible to me
You may have the newer Day Z version. We are still sticking with the old one due to bugs and issues with the new one.
Oh sweet...jesus...i just accidentally hit 'take czech backpack' instead of open, and lost my alice with its...full payload.
Well I'm preaty well loaded now after finding a couple of crash sites. Walked around one server for an hour and didn't find ONE through all the open spaces in the world but I think something was wrong with that server. I mean I found a guy outside Stary traped in a frigen shed trying to shoot his way out and just getting more and more zombies onto him. I asked him three times if he was friendly and if he needed help as he switched betwen a Winchester and a Glock, but never got any response. At the time I came this close after asking him several times if he was friendly and getting no response (even at times when he was not under immediate threat and not shooting) to just tossing a greande into his little hidy hole, or going full auto with my M4A3, but decided to just walk away and let him run out of ammo as more and more zombies kept spawning and killing. On the plus side, I came across a hobsins choice of either the FAL with the NVG scope, or, the .50Cal sniper rifle, with no ammo....I went with the .50 on the justification that its actually usable 24/7 with Gamma Max or NVGs where as the FAL can't disengage the scope, so if anyone comes across .50 ammo, please let me know. Oh, also have a Bizon All I need now is a GPS transmitter, camo clothes/ghillie suit, NVGs and some clips, and I'll be sitting preaty!
Not bad. We have two of those back at camp right now. We have a lot of things back at camp right now.
So when are you ladies going to go on a raid on a public and populated server and get out of the kiddy pool?
I'm such a dumbass that I didn't realize that if you do something like...sayy...completely deplete a loot point, even if it means taking all the trash/etc and then dumping it somewhere else, the loot point respawns fairly quickly. But if you only take SOME of the stuff, and say, leave the trash loot, the thing takes damn near forever to reset. I can get a decent little circuit going at the Benzie soccer field.
Annnnd....Im dead. *sigh* That guy had a pretty long run, I had the unfortunate 'KO' from a lucky zombie hit and bled out. Laaaaame. Some guy will enjoy my body
I don't have a good computer, otherwise I would buy Arma 2. However, I remember back in its spirtual precessor, Operation Flashpoint:Resistance, one guy created a zombie mission pack, which was epic, except it lacked the food survival stuff, and was more linear. Still, I can't help thinking about it every time I hear about DayZ.
*sigh* Started a new character, limited by finding no decent backpacks, picked up a decent spread of gear, including a mp5 silenced, was heading away from cherno in the hills, got hit presumably in the back by some doucheback. So I alt+f4d out of spite. Not sure if I'm bleeding, but was green hourglass ko'd, so I guess we'll see what happens later I'm probably going to bleed out, if a zombie doesn't spawn and chew my head off, but at least I denied that douchebag Holy cow, I'm alive, respawned at 2500 blood or so and sloooowly bled out as I watched the hourglass run out, then at like 700 blood, recovered and bandaged I'm dizzy as hell, but still alive Out of food tho.
guys, i was pm'd this message today: Hello, Dylon and co. First I would like to say that me and my mates have thoroughly enjoyed playing on your server over the past few weeks, it runs well and rarely has any problems. I assume it was you guys that found our base and cleaned us out as you are the only other organised group I've noticed on the server and it would have taken a group to clean us out the way you did so congrats. Be aware I'm not here to start trouble or anything I just wanted to give you your due congrats. It gives a new element to know there is a group around. Kind of a "friendly rivalry" thing we now have. I can only assume that the URAL civ I found was yours and you parked it in the black Forrest where I happened to log on and found it 20meters away (talk about luck) it was the first time I've ever found a vehicle after months of playing so we were over the moon to have found it. I can only assume you have stocked the majority of the vehicles on the server so we are undecided if we will continue to play there. Anyway not much else to say so maybe we see you in chernarus maybe we don't, either way well played. 30 days of life is a new achievement for me in dayz but after being basically wiped clean it's rather demoralising. Anyway happy gaming and good luck to you and your group. SO GUYS, i know i didnt raid these ppl ^^^ did any of you?
So that's how we lost the Ural. No, I did not raid a camp of significance. Let's try and play nice with these guys. We would like to help get them back on their feet. We have spare gear if they need some. Do we want to trade for the Ural? I would be willing to part with both the white offroad and the V3S for the Ural.
Well maybe Dylon could put the names of these people, if they sent them, on the convo we have going? I'm fine with the work with than against, but I don't remember raiding any camp recently either.
nonono the V3S is better than the ural it has camo and nearly enough slots. i think it would be worth trading the white truck and some items
