Actually I think the V3S has a lot less slots than the Ural. The Ural can carry a lot more and we don't need soo many vehicles.
The V3S might have as many slots as the Ural, but we don't know. The Ural has a blue color, but is stronger, bigger, faster. We have to offer them a fair trade for the Ural. If we want the Ural. We have three vehicles in military green right now, so maybe we can just use those. We could simply keep them and offer the white pickup as a friendly gesture. Maybe sweeten the deal. We have spare guns. Offer them a M107 (we have three), a DMR, and a FN-FAL night vision. But I have to admit, I would love to get the Ural back.
i had a chat with the guy over his ventrilo, and we have came to be friends and it turns out when his camp was raiding the ural was taken. no worries though, i will pm you all his information cause we think we could get a good friendly clan by our side. he also seemed open to teaming up something in the future for raids or general stuff.
I bet Infection took the Ural. Well, if they need gear, I say we could offer them the white offroad pickup and 2 ATVs.
That Ural is a magnet for trouble. If it was at their camp, bet what happened is the raiders just loaded the Ural with loot and drove off.
Not sure how I feel about the "you have no equipment" quality of new spawns, but now I understand why I kept seeing the same characters listed in global that they died. I almost did that with this most recent spawn, then fortunately found a hatchet. It took me 45 minutes to actually find a gun (that silenced MP5). Hatchet is pretty good, though obviously the risk is you'll take a hit by the zombie. I found it useful to rush up from behind and whack em. (when you know the numbers are small and you won't spark a mob). Still not entirely sure what I want to do with my current char, hovering around 700ish blood and wooooooozy. Would I be better off checking 'farms' vs 'residences' for food? I'm too far from a city other than Cherno, and that place is just too dangerous. I'll never make it to grocery store. On the other hand, aside from wood, I have all the tools I need to kill animals and cook them, maybe I can find a cow nearby.
Killing animals would be your best bet for blood. You could go and look for a grocery store in one of the big cities but like you said its dangerous. Bereznio has a few grocery stores. That place isn't as populated as Cherno or Electro but be on your guard.
What is the range on Direct Coms? I was raiding NW Airfield on a pitch blank night (thank god I dropped that .50cal and picked up the FAL at another crash site yesterday) and using its night vision scope to get around. Clunky, but it worked. And I spotted a survivor in the fire station tower. I was about two hangers away, prone in the weeds and I asked him to identify as friendly if he was. He didn't. I gave him a final warning. No response. So I took a shot, but misjudged the drop, the bullet went high over his head and splattered against the wall. The way he suddenly hit the deck and then disconnected makes me think that he didn't hear my warnings...what is the rough range for text messages?
Greetings, I am the one who has been talking to Dylon via PM. I would just like to clarify the URAL. We did take it in the black forrest as it was parked literally 20m from our camp. We hadn't ever had a vehicle before even after months of play and the allure was too much to pass up, also we were trying to protect our base as we assumed it would be easily found if others were operating in the area so we took the URAL and moved our base deep in the woods far away from the area. Our apologies in stealing it but we felt it was in our best interest to protect our group. Two days later we found a s1203 van which became our runner car. Two days after that we were cleaned out completely. The URAL and s1203 were near our base but seriously covered in pine trees and would not have been visible to anyone unless they were actually at our base as we checked the surrounding areas for visibility after we parked them. They were both full to the max with gear so loading them up anymore would have been impossible. We lost them both including 10 tents worth of gear, guns, packs, med supplies, food, water ect ect. We had been hoarding for weeks so it was a rather large collection of goods. Which now we are down to our packs and empty tents. We had been on playing for hours the evening before and continuously check the server for other players before we move near our camp to try and keep it protected. We assumed if must have been your group as you are the only other group we noticed on with more than 2-3 people and to have that much gear raided we thought it would take a group with manpower and vehicles. When I decided to log off your group was just logging in as Hillbilly was the first to join in the game when I was leaving. Our apologies for falsely accusing you but it was the general thought that you guys were the only other decent sized organized group around. I spoke with Dylon and my group is open to being friendly and possibly raiding in future. I have sent our details to Dylon and feel free to communicate to us at either or those places. Our forum is probably the best place to start as we are in Australia so our time zones differ quite a bit and only use our vent server when we are actually on the server. We are a group known as Mojo which is a collective group of like minded "mature" gamers aged 24+ focused mostly around xbox 360 though some of us venture out into other aspects of gaming. As mentioned we are open to setting up a alliance of some description. We will start using our clan tag in-game as to be easily identified by your group. We weren't using it previously to keep ourselves protected and not alert others to our group. I just wanted to let you know where we stand and good luck out there in Zombie land. P.S. We do enjoy the server as its a nice change from the banditry abuse that has become most servers. Also I go by Sinful Omnivore in game so I'm sure you will see me on and around.
Hey, good to see more friendly faces. Totally understand taking that Ural. Its an awesome vehicle. I ran over a lot of trees in the short time I had it. If you guys need a little support, we spotted a truck hiding in the woods free for the taking. It was parked near but not in the NW Airfield. 35 x 40. And we have spare vehicles we have wanted to give to a friendly group. Another pickup and an ATV. We also have a fair collection of tents if you need a new camp site. So again, let us know. We are currently juggling teamspeak servers, so that will be a little sketchy for now. But if you see vehicles operating together, thats probably us. We aren't trying to hunt people down. So if you see some of us and are within earshot, give us a shout and we can exchange friendly insults.

Much appreciated. A truck and ATV would be a tremendous help. I scouted for 3 days looking for an ATV but always came up short. I will most certainly check that grid marker out for the truck later today when I log on. We have a large amount of tents due to the silly duplications from moving in the current build. I just need to pack them and move them and wait for a restart before they can be used. I have moved our camp a great distance away now however only had room enough to take 1 tent with me so obtaining a vehicle would be great for moving the rest as I keep myself fairly stocked on survival gear (usually enough for 2 people) so I can only carry so much on foot and spend hours running to the new spot. I suppose we should work out some method of change over. Maybe a meeting at a designated location or perhaps a drop off location and someone could PM the details. I'm currently near the NWAF around the kabanino area on foot. So... the V3S killed me. Almost 1000 kills and I died because I had a dc and logged back in INSIDE the truck. At least I recovered everything but the ghille suit.
Mojo Clan: We stashed a white offroad pickup truck near Black Mountain at coordinates 101 x 33. Loaded it up with some of our extra gear to help seed your new camp.
Evil and I made a run to our old camp. Turns out since the patch came out its not been raided. Picked up some various AKs and extra gear and brought it home.
Thank you very much, it will be a great help. I picked the off road you spotted at NWAF and promptly moved it to our new location. Unfortunately when I was getting out of it I was killed by a glitch so that's 30 days gone lol. My gear was saved by my mates so it's all right. I realised I misspelled my steam name in my earlier post and have corrected it if anyone wants to add me for a chat. I will pick up the off road a bit later today and again thank you.
With the server population being so minimal right now we expect that some more vehicles will be freeing up. We will keep an eye out for some military grade vehicles that you can acquire. Same with the Ural. We ended up finding a few we like and are going to stick with them as long as we can hold them. So if the Ural shows up again, you guys are welcome to take it. Its a wonderful battering ram.
So...I found the Supermarket in Polana a complete wreck.... I thought it might be a glitch as when I carefully looked from certian angles it looked normal, at least when I was inside, in certian locations...but honestly, I think someone blew it sky high, given the survivor body I found! Although the weird framerate drops I was getting around it does further suggest its a bug of some kind. Bad news is that it ate my character as when I tried to leave via the front door after getting inside to take the final shots, I somehow 'tripped', broke my leg and bled out, and couldn't be bothered going back for all my gear. *shrug* The fun part IS collecting it I've found. Annnyway, very odd. Also had an annoying time with a guy at Stary, I was in the hill to the West of the military camp looking it over at night trying to decide if I should have a sweep. Then on one of my sweeps of the town, I saw a guy run into the supermarket, chased by zombies. He tried to Lee Enfield some of them away, that just broughht more in of course. And for some reason on this server, global chat was enabled. I tried to talk to him several times but got no response, even when he was not activly engaged after I snipped the zombies, very clearly, at the door trying to get in and again asked him if he could please respond. Clearly he had an idea where he was as he came out the back with a Winchester and tried to sneak towards my general location, not knowing that a nightscope FAL can actually see in the dark. Just walked away, a lot of people on gloabl chat agreeing that this guy was a douche given that I clearly could have killed him many times, and now apparently wanted to try and kill me. So I relocated away to the East and sure enough, saw the guy slowly moving around the hills I had been (not that frankly I thought he would have found me the way he was quatering the area) and toyed with shooting him, but instead just walked away.
Found the truck. Cheers for that, it will surely come in handy to have 2. Also appreciate the gear, I haven't had the pleasure of finding a m107 and am looking forward to dropping some cows at 1000m any tips for holding vehicles for an extended amount of time? So far the offroad has been my favourite vehicle with the only draw back is only transporting 2 people
