Ok I recieved an email earlier today regarding Raab and it's posting on ff.net, it turns out that after six years it now somehow has been tapped as breaking the rules of the site somehow and without any warning has led to deletion and some kind of three day stop on any attempt to post anything. Has anyone else had this problem at all?
Could they have hit you with any of this? I can think of zillions of fics that violate this stuff, but violation of the content guidelines in some way is one of the more usual ways of a story ending out of FF.net. EDIT: I wonder if it was because of the "story title must be K rated" and Reunions Are A Bitch thing. It would be particularly idiotic, if it turns out to be that.
That's why it disappeared while I was reading it the other day. I thought you had deleted it. This might be why many of my tagged stories are gone. Those MOFOS!!
Main reason for removal: Title/Summary not Fiction G rated and not suitable for all audience. The above story has been removed because it violated the guideline detailed on the upload page. This is what they hit me with, I complained and they returned it but I've asked for clarification as to what the actual problem was. I believe it was the title itself with the use of the word Bitch.

Apparently i have to change the word totally not even using asterisks etc will allow it, so any thoughts?
Find a new site to post it on? but seriously all I'm so tired all I can think of at the moment is change the B to an W... shrug sorry personally it sounds like a nBSG fanboy stumbled over the story and clicked the report button while raging over the fact you treat both sides fairly...
Maybe put the abbreviation, RAAB, up as the title with the description then put the full title in at the start of the story proper.
But bitch isn't a curse word! It's the name of a female dog! It's insulting because you're implying the target is a dog or behaving in an awkward and aggressive manner, like bitches in heat do! The word itself isn't bad! I'd personally put Reunions Are A Female Dog or Reunions Are A....

Fanfiction.net has finally caught up and screw up another bunch of excellent authors while allowing the really REALLY deranged and insipid ones to keep their crappy and worthless and verbally abusive storythreads instead.. Looks like Fanfiction.net has finally continue to maintain their level of 'sloppy' quality control... Maybe the MODs at FF.net aren't really REALLY reading the stories that are being flagged as spam or hatefull and using their new computer software to track bad words and not realize the content and quality of the storythread... We clap CLAP CLAP clap the way that FF.net has keep themselves up to date ..... As for title... using what WMRS in GSD mentioned ... How about RAAB ' Relatives, What A Pain '
Bastards. The ff.net people. and somehow all the vivid sex scenes remain in other stories...strange that. Anyway. Change the story title completely, and perhaps have reference as RAAB either in the title as well, or in the summary.
If they let you keep the story, upgrade the content rating level just to be safe. That and if you don't want to loose the whole thing, aside from what's posted on this forum, look at posting at one or two other fanfiction type sites.
Actually, judging by the fact that it's the title that's the issue, I'm suspecting that it's the LU and REDBUTTON that's responsible in this case.
Remember how much Foamy and MJ12 bitch about the issues of CrW? Now, imagine twenty or more of them going through FF.net and reporting people who they feel viotlate the rules. That's the Literate Union. On their forum over on FF.net they have a Flame Request thread where they place stories for everyone else in their group to flame. REDBUTTON is a bot they created to help them out. It goes through the site database and searches out words in order to find stories that they feel violate site rules. Then it sends a message to a LU member who usually presses "Yes" which then causes REDBUTTON to start spamming the Mods with "Story Reported".
The fact that some people put so much effort into things like this will never cease to amaze me. Really.
Pretty much. They even have a website off FF.net where they prclaim their purpose. What I suspect is that REDBUTTON was going through FF.net with the latest rules in mind. It came across RaaB and saw the title "Violated" site rules. Sent a message to one of the LU and they simply gave it the go ahead and it started spamming the Mods with "Story Reported".
I know of an author who only in the last 24 hours had all his stories removed. 17 fics gone with no warning, far less an explanation. What a mess.
You could always repost the story here, or try http://www.thealphagate.com/ it's a yahoo Stargate fanfiction group where you could post it there. I know fanfiction.net is one of the largest places to post fanfiction stories, but if they are going to be a#^l about the tittle, I say screw them. Especially since they do still have a ton of stories with explicit content and sex scenes up on there site that I have complained about for years and no one has done anything about them. And they want to complain about your title! F !#@ them, and that is me being kind. I also say do the same thing with the follow up story if you are doing one that is. In fact move all your stories to here and Alphagate or any other fanfiction site besides fanfiction.net. In my opinion this is the final straw for them.
Dark Dragen, wrote mostly Harry Potter fics. Never read his stories myself so can´t tell if their content violated some rules.
Just refer them to the Oxford Dictionary definition of "Bitch" and inform them that, actually, under the english language your use of the word is perfectly reasonable. And if they ask for clarification: Female Dogs can be be volatile, fast moving & temperamental. In the context of your story name then: Reunions can be volatile, fast moving & temperamental.. something your story goes into depth about regarding first-contact situations
