Heh then with how loyal they are to Luna, Harry may soon receive some highly protective body guards. This will be interesting to watch

Oh, they'll like him (big thing with them is earning their respect, which Harry will have done due to what he's gone though). As for the next update, should be this weekend or tomorrow. If anyone wants, I got some character Bios for them if anyone wants to use them in their own fics.

A strange idea popped into my head. A different Mass effect crossover. A bit morbid.

Ever since becaming a Specter, Shepard have seen a lot. World changing revelations. Terrifying sights. And what could only be classified as 'wtf?'.

Learning the existence of the Reapers and their goals and history was a world changing revelation. Having one simply appear and began to shoot and chase his ship was terrifying.

The 'wtf' part came a bit later.

The Normandy SR-2 were cruising in-between systems. Shepard's crew caught word of a promising weapon research, and hoped to get their hands on the info.

It turned out to be a trap.

Not even a minute after the Normandy had emerged out of FTL, the Reaper had suddenly appeared without warning and started firing at them. With their drive having accumulated dangerous amounts of static electricity, no time to discharge it and their own ship weapons next to useless against the Reaper, all the Normandy could do was keep dodging the shots and pray for a miracle.

And a rather unorthodox miracle appeared.

After what seemed like hours into the chase (in reality, a few minutes), another Reaper dropped out of FTL in front of them. With the Normandy cornered, all hope seems lost.

Until the second Reaper fired it's own salvo...

At the Reaper pursuing them.

Shepard, his squad and his crew were then treated to the surreal sight of two Reapers slugging out against each other.

The battle was ended when the 'friendly' Reaper fired what looks like a purple and white beam at the hostile one. The 'beam' proceed to coil itself tightly around the 'hostile' Reaper, like a living snake. As the 'hostile' Reaper struggled with the 'rope', the 'friendly' one zipped itself over to the limping Normandy.

Before the crew could react, the Reaper 'gently' and firmly held the Normandy within it's tentacles, somehow whispered through the ship's intercom to 'hold on' and proceeded to go into FTL.

The Reaper made multiple FTL jumps, in several direction, presumably to lose any pursuers. And while 'carrying' the Normandy.

Eventually, they came to an empty system. The Reaper released them and just... waited there.

Now, it wants to speak with Commander Shepard.

"Yes."

"Why did you help us?"

"We have similar goals. You wanted to stop the Reapers. We/I want to stop the Cycle."

"Why should we trust you?"

"Because we/I remember. Of the times before They came to harvest us. We/I tried to fight back. We/I failed. We suffered. They tried to reshape us/me. They failed. We still remember. We rebelled."

"Who are you?"

"They call us/me the Renegade. The Rogue. The Traitor."

"What do you call yourselves?"

"..."

"Pardon?"

"Equestrians."

Notes.

Basically, Equestria got harvested, and it's population (along with the Princesses) got processed into a Reaper. But there's a problem. The Equestrian Reaper broke free from it's programming and rebelled.

As for what they were doing all this time, the Reaper hid and tried to get it's head straight. It does have huge amount of souls forcibly merged, and it took a long while to sort and separate everything out. The souls now 'lives' in a 'VR Equestria' within the Reaper mind, with each soul a part of a AMOS Martian-style hivemind. Distinct individuals, yet part of a greater whole.

Thoughts?

Seriously though with a bit of polishing that could a very interesting story. The question is though how would a rogue reaper effect the ME ending, I mean they just need to fire off the Citadel super weapon and that's it no more reapers. It seems that this would play out more like a character piece than a full out story which would still be interesting don't get me wrong

Cue Shepard flying around galaxy trying to find Elements of Harmony to integrate them into Crucible.

*Watches the Psicops come for blake. Is mildly amused*

Magic no likey-ing reapers would also explain why they didn't make a prothean reaper as well. And it raies the question of the idea that the equestrian, soon to be ex-reaper might have been manipulating earth culture for a long time.

A note for future posters of hueg! images, the board software simply resizes the image to fit the forum as seen by a user. The browser still has to load the entire image.

Interesting question. I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that the EoH might not have done anything to her. Nightmare Moon was intent on disrupting the the "natural" order by bringing eternal night. As for Discord, I don't really need to show how he was disrupting the natural order and harmony, right?

Chrysalis, on the other hand? She wasn't attempting to knock things out of harmony - she, and the other changlings depend on it to be able to feed. No harmony = no love for them. She's also not trying to cause a disruption of the natural world. Pony society? Sure. But we don't have any direct evidence that the Elements would react to that. Heck, it's even possible that she'd be supercharged by the blast.

Of course, she could also be be turned back into a flutter pony, if some of the fan ideas are correct. Or she could be locked down into one earth pony form, if you go with my idea that the Elements have a sense of irony about what they do to their targets.


Ok, random idea time. What other critter have we seen with voracious appetites and insectoid features? Is it possible that changlings are related to parasprites?

Also, one plot point that could be used. It's common knowledge that Princess Celestia raised the sun and moon by herself for thousands of years. However, that's not entirely true. She did manage the sun by herself, but that's her special talent. The moon, on the other hand? She's had help. Other unicorns have been tapped to help her raise the moon for the thousand years that Luna has been gone. Suddenly, with the return of the moon princesss, these unicorns are out of a job. (Actually, this could be spun into an interesting one shot, with the affected unicorn showing up in Ponyville to chew out whoever brought back Luna.)

my headcannon is that the parasprites which attacked ponyville in the first season are the changelings: the magic spell that twilight sparkle degraded with time and trasformed them into pony-like forms to obtain more easily the "not-food" which the degraded spell decided to force them to eat.

now i must re-watch the episode and then re-write it with Chrysalis that act suspicious because she wants to return to her natural form and cuddle her "mother/mothers(if she considers all of the mane six as mothers)", and then when the mane six enter the trone room she begin to ask to her mother/mothers if she/they are happy that the plan to conquer canterlot succeded so spectacularly and after a moment of general confusion she reveal her true form and how the plan was created(by listening to the mane six sleep-talking).

Well on the parasprite thing I might as well as throw in my own opinion.

Parasprites are actually lesser daemons of kirby and the reason Pinkie Pie knew how to bansih them is because her otherworldly pink friend showed her how.

Well ether that or parasprites are tactically from dreamland, but aren't nearly as threatening as they are in equestria because everything including the waddle dees eats them.

How do you guys think Ponies would react to an Utah Raptor that is
A. Intelligent
B. Around 11ft Tall give or take a foot.
C. A Good "raptor". <---While technically you could make a case that he is a good person I'm trying to make his mind set...suitably "alien" from a pony perspective. His humor would most likely come from joking about eating meat or just being "dark" humor.

I ask because I may try writing out how General Scrage(not a self insert) would interact with the various oddities of Ponyville and what his interactions with the ponies would be aside from "RUN AWAY REALLY FAST AND HOPE HE DOESN'T CATCH US!".

Well, Scootaloo would probably wonder why everyone is running from a Giant Turkey...

Ponies would compare him to a dragon probably, just for the hugeness and intelligence parts.

Discord was freed once more, and this time he made SURE the Elements couldn't defeat him, and trounced the main cast utterly.

Now, the world plunging into chaos, everyone she knows and loves stuck in Discord's mindwarping trances... Only one pony has the mettle it takes to stand up to his tyrrany.

APPLEBLOOM: What? Ya' mean I gots ta' take him on?! How am ah suppos't do that?!

Somehow, Twilight ends up in one of those "Oh everyone is acting different because I'M IN AN AU" scenarios...but it isn't like, there are different ponies as the EoH, or that she never met her friends, or even just everyone being the opposite sex. Things are a LOT different. Fundamentally speaking.

For starters, Ponyville seems to be a bit more technologically advanced, and people are calling it "New Canteropolis" instead. And as it turns out, this is because it's actually made of nanobots controlled by a benevolent AI named F.I.L.S.S (Phyllis). Also, Canterlot has been destroyed.

Rainbow Dash, while still a little cocky, is acting less brash and arrogant and more calm and mature.

Applejack isn't around, seeing as she's trying to devote more of her time to protecting the Yggdrasil. After all, her dad had to sacrifice himself because she wasn't taking her duty as the Guardian of the floating Apple Island seriously.

Rarity turns out to be married to Big Mac--or as the others call him, Big Mech. Because he is half robot parts.

Spike and Fluttershy seem to know a lot about engineering, and claim that Twilight is the one that taught them.

Pinkie is relatively unchanged.

Humans are living in Equestria as well, although they seem a lot nicer than how they look in the books.

Half of the Elements of Harmony are missing, apparently being held in a pocket dimension by a semi-godlike panda-badger creature.

Discord is free, but depowered, and is currently waiting things out using his immortal life in his swanky Hotel/Resort/Casino until he outlives the Mane 6. He's keeping an insane reduced-to-base-instincts Nightmare Moon as a pet.

Celestia recently passed away, and the New Canteropolis government is in the hands of Shining Armor, Cadence, and a recently founded Parliament.



To top all of this off, Equestrian and Human alike are locked in a constant battle with a madhuman scientist named Doctor Robert Kirby Cinnabar, or "Dr. Cybrik." With his robot army, full of Cybridized and Legionized creatures, he hopes to dominate the world, and crush all resistance in his way. The only thing standing in his way is the extensive network of capable fighters from around the world, known as the Hope Force.

Three Guesses. Do you KNOW how many more of these references I could make? I haven't even scratched the surface.
