Moving on, I was looking through the old "Teaching at Hogwarts" thread, and got this hilarious idea of Alice Margatroid, after being pranked by Peeves, calling in the one exorcist she knows to get rid of it. What type of profession specializes in exorcisms? A miko. Thus Reimu Hakurei comes to Hogwarts, and exorcises Peeves. Depending on the interpretation of how harmless he is, he might not go very quietly, to say the least.

Of course, one this is done she starts hounding the students for Donations, because she's heard of how irritating Peeves has been to the students. And possibly offering her services as an exorcist to various people, such as getting rid of annoying ghosts (Binns is a non-hostile example) or telling Harry Potter that she would be willing to get rid of the soul bit in his head without harming him. Of course, she tells them that "donations are a nice motivator," not so subtly extorting them for money.

That story is a Movie-versem crossover. Fury still learning avout magic's.

He still doesn't know magic exists.

Harry doesn't know about the bugs planted on him until he get suspicious enough to use a degtection charm. When his regular wand fails, he uses the Death Sstick, which fries it. The nanobots in his body were naturally dying whenever he used magic, and the Hallows he has, in particularly the Invisibility Cloak, render him nigh undetectable.

That and this is Avengers, they don't know magic exists. Harry is literally an OCP for SHIELD.

You should actually look into this problem of yours, before it gets out of hand sevenwielder.

I just got to where [spoiler]Harry decides to help revive Voldemort, so that Tom Riddle can fix the damage Dumbledore did to his mind.[/spoiler] It is amazing. This author knows how to handle conspiracies and plot twists.

Does your mouse not highlight?

It highlights, but this forum keeps the contrast between the background and the highlighted object the same. Every other forum it works just fine. This one doesn't.

What style are you using? I've tried every single style and they all allow me to highlight and read the transparent text.

I've tried both Flexile and Space Battles. It's automatically adjusting to keep it hidden. Thus my request: cut it out, it's obnoxious when it's not something that really needs a spoiler tag.

It doesn't seem like a SpaceBattles problem to me. Could it be your browser?

This problem has followed me on two different computers with three different browsers. Considering that every other forum I've been on, there's no such issue, I have doubts as to your claims that you're not seeing the same problem.

You're the only one I've heard of with this problem, but nevertheless, this isn't exactly the place to discuss it. Sorry for the derail people.

It's only a pseudo-canon, older Harry that has some experience--it was part of his job. That said, Harry does not know many things and is not at all 'smart' in this fic (well, 'savvy' would be a better adjective). Actually, he's pretty much continually hoodwinked by technology and the SHIELD operatives that don't try to tail him, and it's only the fact that using his magic deteriorates the bugs they keep planting on him that keeps SHIELD from walking all over him. Yes, he's almost painfully ignorant relative to the modern muggle world: e.g., lately he didn't even think the cell phone he kept with him could be used to track him. (Which makes sense considering his background, really.)

No, actually. Not in the continuity the fic crosses with at this point in time--Fury has almost no experience with the magical things at this point in time. It's too early for that (Thor's storyline is basically just starting out, based on what happens peripherally in the fic). Worse, what you're asking for is for Fury to be a Mary Sue dialed up to 11. A muggle with no experience in or even awareness of magic whatsoever would... what? Detect a wizard with a muffling charm and under the greatest "hide me" magical artifact ever? That's just unbelievable.

I'm not going to make any particular claims of fic quality, but all your reasons are just mistaken. Though with how 'effectively magic' Marvelverse science tends to be, I wouldn't be too surprised if SHIELD does fullfill Fury's recent order to fuck up Harry's teleportation. Arguably the bits with Tony's arc reactor are a foreshadowing that Marvelverse!technology's capabilities in regard to magic.

ETA: Speaking personally, the most frustrating part of the fic is actually how little anything of import happens relative to its size.
