Oh, I've recently remembered-- Rhogar is still lugging around that silver rod with the inscriptions for the teleport ritual-- shall he go ahead and sell that?

That's a different teleporter, but long shot thought it may be, we might as well bring it along today if nothing else. That said, a couple of AARs I've been meaning to post. Journal Entry of Eravan Arkias for Diogo 14, Imperial Calendar. I regret to say that not much of importance happened today. We headed out in the direction of the Gnoll caverns, as we have dubbed them, intending to explore further up into them. To our shock and dismay, upon arrival, we discovered that they had in fact collapsed in their entirety. It was as if the fist of an enraged deity had struck the earth and smashed the entire cavern system downwards about three or four yards. We conferred with Mr. Lawrence and he used his powers to confirm that there were no other entrances that we could use. We are still investigating what could have caused such destruction and still have remained unfelt back in Anchorhold. Did the Gnolls collapse their own tunnels? If so, what for? Or was this the work of an enemy of theirs? It seems too powerful and sophisticated for the work of Goblinoids. I shall have to find the root of this mystery, and see if there is some way to, if not restore the caverns, at least determine what was at work here. Journal Entry of Eravan Arkias for Diogo 17, Imperial Calendar. I am in much better spirits today, as for the first time in several months, I personally led an expedition out into the wilds around Anchorhold. Usually I tag along and leave navigation to someone else, especially after that disastrous incident the last time I tried… the one with the Barrows. As it stands, though, I am happy to say that I successfully led the group south into the swamp, first to check on the Bee Keeper and to determine if he was still okay, as we had not managed to establish contact with him the last time that we were down that way. He was in fact perfectly fine, and with that heartening news taking a weight off our shoulders, we headed out towards the West. We came across the second thing that we were searching for, the wagon covered in mushrooms. The handful that we’d acquired last time fetched a pretty penny on the market, and so we were determined to collect the rest of them. We did so in short order, and noticed that the barrels that they were growing around smelled faintly of alcohol. Making a note of that, we decided to explore the surroundings more. We headed south, and soon discovered what turned out to be an Owl Bear cave. The creature was rather perturbed that we’d intruded on its territory and quickly launched itself at Ionnina. However, my magic, and the swordplay abilities of Ionnina and Blitzwand, in combination with Lady Sear’s fearsome combat skills quickly dispatched the beast. Inside of its cave, one corpse we did find had a golden Owl-Bear claw pendant on it. A most curious, and ironic token, all things considered. I suspect we should perhaps ask around, or ask Mr. Lawrence and determine if it has any specific meaning or purpose. From there, we made our way east along the bank of that massive river, examining Tiamat’s rock (but not delving into it, lest we be set upon by gigantic, two headed mantis demons), and we also found some faint trails in the sand and rocks that seemed to indicate that our old “nemesis” Calico the Pirate “Captain” had been in the area. We decided to check out the swamp castle on the way back, just to be sure. Sadly, it was empty, with nary hide nor hair of the brigand to be found, much to Lady Sear’s disappointment. Our return to town was without incident, aside from that. We did make a tidy profit off the mushroom and the hide of the Owlbear, and also inquired of the Architect’s family about the corpse we’d found. It wasn’t his, for better or for worse, and the only identifying mark that he’d probably be carrying was a wedding ring of plain, unadorned gold. I’m still at a loss as to what might have happened to the poor fellow, and I suspect by now that he’s very much dead. My candle burns low, for now, and I will close out this entry by saying that I am happy I didn’t lead the group astray and get us all horribly butchered.
THUNK THUNK THUNK From the behind the oaken door comes a rattling and thundering. The wood frame jolts back as the entrance is opened by a flustered woman in frilled pajamas wielding an oversize axe and wearing a pair of heavy plate boots. "IDIDN'TSLEEPIN" She bolts down the hallway and near fumbles down the stairs to the tavern floor. THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNKTHUNKTHUNKTHUNKTHUNK "IDIDN'TSLEEPINIDIDN"TSLEEPIN" From the foot of the stairs she bolts across the tavern floor, passing patrons and servants, to the map room. THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK "HELLOEVERYONEIDIDN'TSLEEPINI'MREADYFOR-" The map room is empty save for a new cups and plates used for a breakfast meal. The Lady, panting heavily, slumps and brings an open hand to her head. "Oh my... I slept in..."
As the hours roll by and the next morning dawns, there's still no sight nor sound of Eravan, Talbin, Rhogar, and Ella. Eravan is known to leave a note as to his whereabouts, probably stuck under some of the cartography and texts piling high atop the table in the taproom.
Lady Sear will adorn more reasonable cloths before scour through Eravan's notes as to his whereabouts.
Way to just leave out the 7'4" Dragonborn, and add in someone who wasn't even there. . . Wait, does this mean lingering chaos magic sent Rhogar back to the Inn and had Rhovan take his place?

With this change in schedule, if everyone shows up for tomorrow's game, can we have 6 people along, due to the nature of what happened?
Lady Sear, after a bit of searching, finds the following note: "To my fellow Members of the Lunar Knights: Vedrus 1, Imperial Calender. The time is approximately 8:00 in the morning. I'm setting out with Ella, Rhogar, and Talbin (Ionnina was sadly unable to accompany us today, due to her studies). We're going to be exploring the under-level of the Swamp Castle, going to try and take another crack at that teleportation puzzle since Talbin can actually read the Dwarven runes. This shouldn't take more than about six or seven hours, most likely. Standard operational procedures for the short range missions apply here. Namely, if we're not back by the time the sun starts going down, things have gone pear shaped, and we're likely in over our heads. Come get us if we're not back by then. Take care. -Eravan Arkias."
What part of "do not tell people what happened" are you guys not getting? I think it's the "not" part but I can't quite be sure. You are robbing the game of its power by providing information that should not be available. After hammering on this concept for a year I would've hoped it was understood, but of course the first time it's actually important everybody goes and fucks it up.
