    I'd switch out combat tactics for Planetary Dominant Economic Activities and add the Super Particle Lance, which would get the PPP and maybe the logistics AI, and do we need to use two actions on refits?

    @ GM #2: Can we break down the Nu'mah ship's armor and hull to use to build one of our own out of? It is the biggest source of X115 in known space, we might as well use it.

    also Protector seems to the power to stop the star Lord. Though it's possible the starlord is in an Avatar on their ship.

    Enemy zeal doesn't work on us right?

    Could be some holy Empire that might try to get converts like that.

  11. We should Double up on the Logistics so we can kill it this turn. using two action and the Nanofactory complex should garuntee a kill and even net overflows.

    Not doing so will only keep them talking.

    The Hk Frigates are a reasearch action. It even say design it.

    Mobilizing 60% of your forces? who would broker that.

    I would actually put Vessel Upgrades in there. Or more specifically, X116 upgrades. We have quite a few vessels there without it as armor, do we not? And unless nanite-hax is really powerful here, nanohardened T-70 isn't going to be as good. Let's make our (assumed) applied tech gap smaller.

    Also, wargames. Good idea. Not quite a good idea to do it with 60% of forces.

    But something like 10%, for two weeks at a time, then two week analysis portion, and repeat with another different 10%? That might work, and give valuable data when kept up for several years. Put Anvendus on it - he's a ground force leader, but bound to have some good insight into warfare in general.

    We could broker 50% if we did it in two separate exercises consisting of 25% of our total forces each. Then, we can have them on rotation. All we have to do is schedule the rotation for just before the attack, that way 100% of our forces are in the area.

    I'm talking of long-term program. We still have two turns until the hostile fleet arrives - unless something changes, that's ten years to train and develop tactics. A small portion of the fleet would be always training, and the results would be analyzed for tactical possibilities and errors. Keep the number of vessels doing that small, and the costs remain reasonable. Yet keep rotating the units, so that everyone gets practical experience.
  15. Also we need to upgrade all of our ships and the like. As well as get the approval rating up. I wouldn't be against Bonus padding milatary Nanomachines but I wouldn't want to risk a fumble now.

    I also want to punch that starlord in the fucking nads for tanking our reactor.

    No, R&D is for creating/developing new technology or improving existing tech. This does neither, it puts technology we already have together in a way that hasn't been done before. Look at this from turn 1:

    If we could do all that on the very first turn without all the industry we have now, we can easily design a single frigate.

    Mobilizing 60% of my forces for 2 or 3 days out of a month is nothing. Hell, over half the US navy is deployed right now and we are not "officially" at war with anyone. It is easily believable.

    Edit:

    As for upgrading ships with x116, the last time we did that, we devoted a whole action to it and got a pretty good roll and only upgraded 3 ships. That is it. We would be much better off using that to pump out a new frigate, that way, next turn it will automatically be built with the Interceptors, Strike Fighters, Destroyers, and Cargo ships.

    What you talking about? Also they are already suspicious about spending and we haven't used Avatar to Conveinetiently and inspiredly detect the invading fleet.

    Yes, unless we do terribly on that roll, most of the industry should be to build more Frigates, less on the design.

    Unless you want to give me a write-in to explain the incoming alien fleet, we have to do something like this. If we don't we will get curbstomped when the aliens get here. We need the majority of our fleet in a single location when the shit hits the fan.

    The Wargames might be better suited for next turn as that would keep it the freshest in the RAM of the drones.

    Like I said, give me a better vote that I can actually add in to the action list and I will replace the wargames with it (or open up the slot for 1 turn, and put the write-in in during the next).

    As for why we are doing it 2 turns in a row, it is so that we can say "Coincidence" if we need to. Cause it would look far more suspicious to plan a wargame then have aliens invade that very turn, starting the wargames earlier and have nothing happen is much better for plausible deinability.
