A Darlek would instantly try to kill everyone and also current Darleks are ridiculous and unstoppable.

Thats a good point, Daleks can only feel hate and their hard to kill. Some of the people in this have magic powers so they might be able to deal with it, but not before it kills a few of us.

Actually, tbh, I think we can make this work.

Remember, LIFs run on applied plotboneum- so firepower comparisons and whathaveyou are more vague 'a laser is a laser is a laser' type of thing, rather then 'daleks can kill anything in a good 'ole versus, so they can kill anything here'

Besides, I've got plans, and having a Dalek go nuts when people wake up would be awesome for them.

We have documentary evidence (the Pandorica Opens) that Daleks will ally with others... when it suits them. Of course, that doesn't imply you should TRUST them. :drevil:

They'll ally with others to save the universe from the person they hate most in existence which for Darleks is just hating everything.

There's also the fact that its much too powerful unless you throw out virtually the entire show.

My ruling is that the Dalek is too powerful in a combatant sense and would be unlikely to cooperate enough with the other characters, as such the character is vetoed and I have to request that you re-roll.

A couple of ordinary swords, an old SHIELD plasma gun (no extra charges), and assorted tiny sharp objects.

Background:

Like his twin brother, Hollowpoint Ninja, Softy was assigned as the stealth and weapons expert for his team of "semi-autonomous, artificially intelligent, limited-nanofunction, humanform mecha constructs", assigned to take down covert government projects. On a mission to destroy an attempt by Leviathan to build a Cosmic Cube, Softy was caught in the dimensional crossrip, and dumped unceremoniously into the Akira's mess hall.

He travelled for years killing any that would prey on lesser life. Encountering a rift was pulled through it to an unfamilar location.

Do I need to change, alter anything else?

You know I once considered playing a Human-Factored Dalek in a LiF. They're old school daleks so it solves some of the 'ridiculously hard to kill' issues as well as the 'determined to kill everyone' issue.

But then I got away with playing a homicidal, pyromaniac, cyborg teddy bear in one of these.

Sounds like most SBers in these kind of threads sans the teddy bear part.

That's good news. I did consider a Venerable Brother of the Raven Guard initially, but given the nature of Dreadnoughts, Venerable Brother Kaelir would've been a fair bit out of the power level limits.

Appearance: Annette mostly adheres to the standard Valeran template, which is to say that she is staggeringly beautiful, over six feet tall, and built like a goddess as the template usually dictates. Of course, even given her partial roots she isn’t exactly visually cookie-cutter, a flowing mane of purplish blue hair and extra rear padding doing a decent enough job in that area.

Powers/abilities: Outside of exotic Magnate templates, the Valeran template is widely considered one of the most physically powerful templates in the Sphere, being essentially a tweaked Atlas template with faster reflexes. Beyond that, the famous Valeran powers of persuasion are not lost on Annette, though she is a bit more loath than most to take maximum advantage of that.

Background:
Annette is the daughter of a first generation bioroid, a fairly common occurance in the mostly monogender Valera. Sharp, gruff, and competent, she impressed the army enough to be assigned to an elite Assault Brigade, where she served with some distinction. The Valeran Army, conscious of the need to expand in the face of possible new threats in the rim offered her and some of her superiors a promotion and a transfer to a new command as part of the core of a new Division, and after careful consultation she took the offer.

She was last seen in pursuit of a looter while on a shakedown patrol with her new assigned squad near the planet’s Exclusion Zone.

In the LiF/B5 verse, most additional functions granted by having a cyberbrain will be useless due to a lack of compatible technology; however, in the event compatible tech presents itself, she is capable of interfacing directly with it.

In addition, as an Army Ranger, Kay is highly trained in the variety of skills necessary for an elite light infantry force, including advanced training and experience in infantry combat tactics, marksmanship, hand to hand, and asymmetrical warfare tactics.

Background: Sfc. Leonard was born October 13th, 1999, in Morristown, Tennessee, to a middle class family. Military records indicate that Ms. Leonard's childhood was normal, having attended primary and secondary schools in the Morristown area and being active in athletics, particularly basketball and volley ball. She began attending the University of Tennessee in 2018.

During her fifth year at university, Sfc. Leonard was a stricken with a severe illness. She was admitted to the university's hospital for treatment for multiple acute organ failures. University doctors were unable to determine the cause of the organ failures, and had to resort to life support to keep Ms. Leonard alive. After a grim prognosis, it was decided to transfer her cyberbrain into a full synthetic body.

Sfc. Leonard acclimated quickly to her new body. Doctors accredited her fast mastery of her synthetic body to her previously active, athletic lifestyle. However, there was a severe financial penalty to the life saving operation. After a time, neither she nor her family could afford the costs of acclimation therapy or body maintenance, let alone the steep price of the body itself.

As a result, Ms. Leonard was forced to abandon her academic studies. She finally resorted to enlistment in the Army in order to pay the for the costs of the operation and her continual need for maintenance. She excelled as an infantryman, constantly willing to push herself to the limits her artificial body allowed. After graduating from Ranger School, then Sgt. Leonard was deployed to various hotspots, mostly in Latin America, where she earned several awards and commendations.

On November 5th, 2031, Sfc. Leonard disappeared after her platoon was ambushed by well equipped guerrillas during an operation in the jungles of Colombia. Sfc. Kaleena Leonard is listed as MIA.

James is a B ranked Midchildan style combat mage and part of the TSAB Ground Forces. He specializes in shooting (including basic homing attacks), binds, and defensive spells such as barriers/fields/shields. Is competent in unarmed combat and HtH combat with his staff like storage device, which can manifest an energy blade and be used as a spear. Basic understanding of technology and magi-tech.

S4U Storage Device (standard issue military device), Barrier Jacket, Ground Forces Uniform

Background:
James is to all appearances your typical TSAB Ground Forces infantry nco, though he is somewhat more powerful then is typical for his rank and position. Though born to a Mid-Childan family he grew up on another TSAB administrated world, since his father accepted a transfer to become senior managed of a newly opened branch of his company on that world.

He had a normal childhood, standard mage training in the schools, and then enlisted in the Ground Forces when he became old enough - choosing to join the infantry while in boot camp. James led a solid, though not exemplary, career in the infantry though he was being pushed towards OCS by the company's CO and senior NCO.

One minute he was going through a field training exercise with his company, the Beta Company of the 322nd Infantry Battalion, the next he was sitting on the bridge of the USS Resolute.

Appearance: Darth Vader like armor, with a black cloak, his armor and cloak are embroidered with golden color, although it's actually blue, his armor is set with a horned helmet as well

Powers: The power of lightning, and a Wolverine like healing power from Zhad are his main powers, although he is also an expert on white and black magic. Lightning is his specialthy though, he can use lightning bolts at will. In addition to all of this, he has mind control. His mind control powers are broken with strong magic. Doesn't even have to be magic aimed at fightin his mind control. He has to be in eye sight contact for the mind control magic, although victims will perform his orders no matter what range.

Equipment: His armor and cloak, and helmet is all he has

Background:
Zhad was a victim of the civil war on the Moon. Much of Lunarian civilization was destroyed, and he was forced to enter into a deep sleep. When he awoke, he found himself in the Lost In Fiction universe.

During the civil war Zhad worked for Zeromus, he was a well known, infamous war criminal until he turned to the side of Good through a series of visions and epiphanies. He had visions of all of his victims being replicates of himself, and also family members, friends, etcetera. He also had a load of guilt for all his crimes.He attempted to defect to Fusoya's side, but he was trapped in his hidden chambers by a meteo spell, which sealed him for what he thought might be forever. The only choice he had was to enter into a deep sleep.

Wait. What.

He is quite possibly refering to Biohazzard or Mejia.

Presumably this is "comic book borderline superhuman" which means "grossly superhuman in real life".
