Marvel Cinematic Universe Story Ideas

I'm assuming the Super Soldier treatment slowed down Blake's aging, as he was already 67 in '85, let alone 2012.
  2. Redrangerpower Back to Action

So where would that put SHIELD? I can assume that Veidt has a hand in its funding, and he could also possibly be a pawn of Loki when the story from the Avengers movie proper kicks in.
  3. Someone mentioned an MIB Crossover. May I present the greatest idea ever for that.

Yes, the idea was that the Comedian's serum treatment was keeping him young. However, since the American military didn't have Erskine's original formula perfectly replicated, the Comedian is required to regularly take doses of the serum or else lose it's effects, which at his age would mean death for him.

As for SHIELD, in my universe it's a US-based covert joint NATO agency consisting of personnel from most of the civilian and military intelligence services in the major NATO powers. They are intended to launch black, covert and special operations, provide intelligence on the Warsaw Pact, counter any Soviet covert ops in NATO countries, and to manage and coordinate NATO's "extraordinary individuals" (EIs in shorthand), which is their term for people like Captain America, the Comedian, Iron Man or Doctor Manhattan. Of course this also means countering any Warsaw Pact EIs that emerge, such as Emil Blonksy or Ivan Vanko. As it's a NATO agency, Veidt is not involved in it's funding, however a man of his power and influence of course has his own eyes and ears within SHIELD.

You know, Tony would be under a helluva lot more pressure from the US military to release the Iron Man suit to them in this Cold War setting, they propably wouldn't even bother with a hearing and just show up at his doorstep. With a tank. Only SHIELD patronage would protect Tony.
  6. Rabe as terrible as stealing 40 cakes

In a cold war setting Tony likely wouldn't have yanked all his tech and weapon's contracts, potential for the world ending and all. Most likely he hold up shipments till the DOD could find the leak and have Iron man plug it.

Label the mass production true Iron man grade Armor tech a black project, while the still ridiculously expensive knock off LMG proof Mk1 suits get fought over by the active line units in the field as they slowly come off the assembly line
  7. Damar Genuine Mastermind

Oh that's an awesome idea, Mk1's as frontline units. Which would help with riling up the Soviets, with them having had a tech advantage this long as a counter to the Western EI's and Manhattan in particular they're not going to be pleased to see them fielding man-sized tanks and knowing there are far more advanced versions out there.
  8. JoeHundredaire I posted on SpaceBattles once. It was awful.

And then they draft Ivan Venko, who's building arc reactors from scratch in his shit hole apartment, and we see Soviet counter-armor units showing up.
  9. Remember Tony say he had a good design. But the enegy flow was a little off. Mostly like from what was used to build the Arc Reactor.

I was planning on still having Tony trying to get Stark Industries out of the arms industry and retain control of his own creations, however have the political climate of the Cold War and SHIELD's meddling constantly interfere with that.

It'd be interesting if like in the original timeline, Vanko's spy-scientist dad was disgraced, but now by then-still alive Arnim Zola, who used his influence to stop a potential rival with a new Arc Reactor technology, thus leading to Ivan being in the same shitty situation as he was in IM2 or even worse until Tony appears with Iron Man, and Ivan manages to replicate the miniaturized Arc Reactor thus impressing the Soviets and roped into working for them, but he resents his employers almost as much as the Starks. Thus leading him to abuse their resources for his personal vendetta, similair to how he played Hammer though not as easily, with their punishments a lot more harsh than just taking his shoes.

Veidt could be passive-aggressively trying to take control of Stark Industries, with everyone pressuring Tony to give in as to avoid him destroying the company.

Regarding Emil Blonsky, what about the Soviets cooking up a synthetic Supersoldier Serum, perhaps developing it from Schmidt's blood samples, but while Blonsky is the first subject to survive in the decades of tinkering with it, it turned him into an unstable psychotic junkie to the point of his superiors withholding the stuff to make sure he stays in line.

I had kinda been thinking that Stark Industries would be Veidt Enterprises' main competitor in the clean energy market, as Veidt is developing a Manhattan based-energy source, and Stark's arc reactor represents the only major threat to the business success of the Manhattan reactor.
  13. Given you could build an Arc-Reactor with scrap metal Stark Industries would win.
Stark Industries we don't just build Arc-Reactors we recycle the Power Plants their replacing.
  14. EricD Token Christian

This is true, however the Manhattan reactor produces far, far, far more energy, whilst the Arc reactor is cheaper and easier to build.
  15. Um, he didn't build it out of scrap, he built it out of super advanced missile parts. Paladium isn't something you find in your local auto recycling center. :)
  16. That would be Micro Arc-Reactor. A standerd one did not need Paladium. An the one in the Cave did not use Paladium, the Micro Arc-Reactor in a human body is a little Toxic. The Paladium slowed the poisoning down.
  17. Um, pretty sure the Paladium was the poison. To make the original reactor, Tony took apart the Jerrico missiles, containing small Paladium chips.
  18. Knight, everything you said is wrong.

  20. ShadowPhoenix Dark Lord of Shadows

I was wondering what the hell was going on.Got an alert....
    Didn't know this thread existed.
    Sweet.
  21. A really good crossover/fusion with the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) would be Push. So far there has been no mention of mutants in the MCU. What if instead of mutants the psychics from Push existed. Push would easily mesh because according to the movie the US has known about the psychics since the end of world war II and the entire movie is about a super psychic serum which could have been a branch of super-soldier serum development followed after the psychics were discovered plus the whole being policed by secret organizations would fit with SHIELD. Because the psychic powers manifested after WWII it could be said that they were a result of energy emitted by the tesseract's use.
  22. SotF Apocalypse How

Well, considering the location of New Jersey...what if the fight drew Coop in on the fun with MEGAS...and the Glorft...
  23. ScreenXSurfer Humanity+

    SPOILERS
  24. Had an idea. What if it turns out that Thor was the adopted Frost Giant instead of Loki? Honestly, with Odin being the sorcerer king it makes more sense, imo anyways.
  25. You might as well piss off every marvel fan there is while you're at it.
