I am surprised none of you want to try for economic and tech control since you guys would be able to get people to roll over and work for you if you gave them even scraps of Reaper tech. A plus is that you could extert control through an indoctrination field the more they use your stuff.

I definitely going for tech. I intend on making my own network using wormholes and maybe begin constructing megastructures to increase my processing capability and such and gain access of more advance technologies.

And going by Orion's Arm to access the technology to build wormholes, you have to reach the third singularity.

I have a plan related to Earth.

We drop in around the Apollo Landings and wait for the astronauts to return to Earth, then we land somewhere on Earth and pretend to be the idealized super nice "we come in peace" aliens who have come to welcome Earth to the interstellar community. We then indoctrinate their leaders and use them to turn Earth into our base. An alteration is that we go for around modern day Earth and are responding to all of those signals we sent into space hoping to meet the Vulcans or their IRL counterpart.

Theres also the option of being the guadians/caretakers of the mass relays in the Arcturus System when Grissom and his ship comes along.
