And farther range and less cooldown. The only downside is the involved animation you're locked into.
Nope! You can combat roll to cancel out of it. Also, while performing it your sword can strike any enemies around you, dealing additional damage!
You can also melee out of it.
Bu-bu-but they don't lift or have quite as good damage increase on the bursts!
Yeah. I'm willing to bet its going to be the cool-down that gets hit hardest, range will drop to 15 baseline, and damage is going to get cut in half.
ES has +100% tech burst damage. It makes detonating tech stuff INSANE.
haha, yeah... has 2x the tech burst increase as well, forgot to mention that part!
On another note, this is interesting and explains why TC seems to just "not work" at times:
biotic explosions do more as a base, but yeah. Tuché
THE LIFT PART STILL STANDS!
I hate running with people trying to do missions above their paygrade. So fucking stupid.
I'm trying to figure out a weapon for my 6/6/6/3/5 Vorcha Soldier.
I just ran a Cerberus Gold match without the Shield recharge, and I did fairly well. I died a couple of times (note to self, electric slash the phantom before shadow striking), but overall I did pretty good. I could oneshot pretty much any of them except the Phantoms and the Atlases.
Am I the only one here thinking the N7 Destroyers are supposed to imitate the Halo Spartans? I mean, martial arts? rofl
No idea, but its pissing me off. I'm getting everything but the new classes. Since last Tuesday I've maxed out 9 or 10 rares, got 2 Wraith upgrades, the particle rifle, maxed out a few characters and have the piranha at VII and the Acolyte at V.
No, that's not what happened. The new bubble shield is simply an animation that lets you know when the hand shield is deployed and capable of blocking shots. The shield still works as it did previously however, i.e. the Phantom can block shots as long as it's positioned to do so. The hand shield was never on all the time, it was just difficult to know when it was active, which the new bubble animation rectifies.
Unlocked the N7 Demolisher last night, but haven't had a good chance to really test her out. Given the grenade focus of the class, I named her Minnie May.
That was, incidentally, after successfully completing Full Extraction on Platinum with Cody Fett, green-link94, and HillBilly12. There's apparently no medal for beating Platinum on the summary screen.
Whens the next time you're planning on popping up? Wouldn't mind doing platinum with you folks with my Demolisher! Twice the ammo count and twice the grenade spam!
I'll probably be on in about ten or eleven hours. Can't speak for the others, and I'll be wanting to test out my Demolisher on Bronze and Silver a bit more, get the hang of her, before I go anywhere near a Gold or Platinum run with her.
We're usually on about 1700 EST until dinner at 1830 EST, and then from 1920 EST until whenever we feel like getting off.
I've been wondering for a while... you two know each other IRL I take it?
On another note - balance changes are up! So long missile glitch!
MP Balance Update
The Typhoon needed the nerf. If you put AP ammo on it, and an AP mod, you could shoot through any wall in the game. Still happy they didn't nerf its over all direct fire effectiveness though.
Can't say I'm too surprised about the Krysae nerf. it was still effective to the point where the team was basically stalling until the infiltrator killed it rather then the team actualy working together. Now maybe we'll see other guns used on infiltrators.... Nahhhh.
Glitch fixes are always good, and doubly so for the Rocket and uncommon gear glitches.
I can't say i think anyone is going to notice the stomp thing though.
I find the Krysae nerf acceptable, especially since it has really fuzzy aiming. Despite it being a projectile weapon it's hard to miss since "close enough" causes it to detonate.
Basically if you don't have the best aim you can take that and be effective.
Would you believe that that was AFTER the first nerf? it was originally 531.2-664.0 with the firing rates and stuff before this patch. The only real downside of the gun is that it can't get head shots.
The Krysae was utterly broken when it first came out. Patch helped, but it was still broken. Not sure they've gone far enough yet; a clip still does more AoE damage than a Widow.
No yeah, I remember that, and also knew about the head-shots - it just makes good aim even less important with it. I have no problem with a gun like that, but it shouldn't be topping the damage charts if it's going to be a fuzzy-aim weapon.
It's good for:
If you want consistent Sniper damage without having to worry too much about your aim.
If you want to snipe but are not that good a shot with a sniper, you can still be quite effective with this gun.
In terms of balance, when giving reliability like that, it really should not be in league with top damage dealing weapons or abilities that take more skill and/or better aim.
That being said, I've been taking it as my secondary weapon on my Destroyer for range to compliment the Revenant (I still want that Typhoon damnit!)
PS: BSN is full of whiners saying that it's a "worthless" sniper rifle now. Yeah sorry, an easy-mode weapon should not be blowing up mobs and dealing some of the highest DPS. Just because its damage isn't at the very high-end doesn't make it useless.
I'm not sure they can balance it without turning it into a carbon copy of the Falcon but with a sniper tag on it , straighter projectile arc, and less ammo. Its an interesting gun to be sure, but from a game-play and balance perspective its probably the stupidest thing they could have done. Its a rocket launcher, but with none of the things that a more typical launcher has to balance it.
To put in into perspective its literally stronger then the grenade launcher of ME2, but runs off of thermal clips.
Now that they've fixed the missile glitch, I have to ask, how exactly did one do it?
I had some frustrating/bad PUG geth gold last night, I mean people seemed to have the right classes, there was a destroyer, a demolisher, my shadow...and the dude with a battlefield soldier. Wasn't running comms so I couldn't really give feedback to the group, but you'd think the two guys OUTSIDE behind that farside barricade would know/realize that taking cover behind it doesn't mean too much if you have upper level foes raining down on you. The battlefield soldier kept standing up from behind cover inside the room and darting towards the staircase, and getting killed, so I had to keep saving him. For that matter, the other 2 guys didn't seem to want to participate in the objective waves. We basically only got to finish the level 6 wave, first time, escort. And me by my lonesome for a good period of time escorting the drone while the others kinda...sat around shooting badguys. Wave 6 was a hack objective up by the fighter-pad, and it took two of them about a minute before they even bothered to come up.
