Metro 2033 - Aiming Bug?

1. (Not sure if this would go into Games or here since its a technical question about a game.)

I recently picked up Metro 2033 from Steam while on sale, and have found it to be a great game. However I've started to notice an issue in regards to aiming, one that I'm not sure if its a bug or not. An example being in
chapter 4, Frontlines
when I attempt to take the stealthy approach and attempt to snipe for head shots however even with a scope the cross hairs seem to snap erratically. I've attempted to line up multiple times for a headshot on an unaware target, just to have the crosshairs snap to either one side of their head or the other making a one hit kill nearly impossible. In short its as if when aiming at range the scope crosshairs are snapping to a grid rather then allowing me to free aim, with all the frustration that entails. While I do have graphics turned up to VHigh but with a 30-50ish FPS range at a lower then max resolution I don't see how it could be an FPS issue.
2. Issue resolved, apparently was due to a conflict between my mouses sensitivity options and the in game sensitivity options being set too high.

Oooh, a fellow Metro player eh?
4. Yes. Aside from a few nitpicks regarding the interface and a few bugs, the games fairly good.

The Library level hates me. :(
6. LoSt ByTeS That which is, is

Definitely one of my favourite games of 2010 and looking forward to Metro 2034
7. Triggerhappy The Monocle is Off!

Twas a surprise jewel in my opinion and shows how a linear game can take excellent advantage of story telling to provide an entertaining experience.

Arriving in Polis is still one of the most memorable scenes in any game I've ever played. Not because "the City" is particularly impressive, it's not, but because, after you've traveled through the other stations, you can appreciate how it is an impressive sight and achievment to the people of the metro.
