When the imperium leaves, they have to leave behind several war machines. The ponies, who were almost annihilated by the imperium, destroy the machines out of hate and spite, right before the other species, who the ponies oppressed, rise up to take over Equestria, leaving the ponies without any way to stop them.

Have a link. Unfortunately, the makers of the site were dropped on their heads as children, and thus most of the models don't have text describing what they are. I don't even know that much about it, just that the models and factions are fuck-awesome. I've considered shelling out money for the rulebooks just so I could figure out what the goddamn hell I'm looking at.

EDIT: Monsterpocalypse is similarly awesome. It's Gundams fighting Cthulhu fighting Martians fighting 'Planet Eaters' fighting GIANT MONKEYS fighting Mole people fighting Elementals fighting Giant Bugs fighting Dinosaurs.

Pay evil unto evil, and letting the bad guys go away with almost no punishment is a stupid idea, and they did something that most people consider not just crossing the moral event horizon, but rushing through it at FTL speeds.

Like I have said, Either take the concept and do it right, or make some piece of drivel that screams "Waaah! I don't like what you made, take this!" and have it be the same thing, just pallet swapping the two sides.

Read it before, still lots of unanswered questions. I'm just glad I could share something awesome with a fellow geek on this day.

.Last bit of humanity negotiates with Celestia, she does the final push and converts them, the human remainders decedents plan to revolt against Celestia.
.Humanity comes back as reapers, it says it want's to stay, Celestia gets worried, Humanity/Reaper Shepard goes away to live in Earth.
.Earth's nature invades Equestria, instead of magic invading Earth.
.Humanity prays for salvation, they faith forms a god entity and it WTFPWNS the ponies.
.Celestia dies, Equestria falls into chaos.
.Equestria and Earth start to mix, but for the most part, its ok, but some extremists want the conversion to happen, it makes both sides horrified by the others culture, so both sides work as damn hard as possible to stop the conversion groups.

Don't forget my idea: both Equestria and Earth are largely reasonable save for a few small numbers of extremists. Everyone else involved sees that the extremists are crazy, and is horrified at the entire situation humanity has been placed in and fights to prevent it from getting to the point where conversion is necessary.

Conversion Ponies need to hear the hypocrisy of their plan from the perspective of ponies.
Humanity’s advocates come across a rainbow bridge. . .
I suspect the ponies of Dream Valley might object to Celestia’s genocidal tendencies.

Nope, mine doesn't involve CB at all, I merely realized it would piss those authors off and offered my services to you gentlemen. My idea on your list should read something like "Celestia dies under mysterious circumstances, and ALL FUCKING HELL BREAKS LOOSE. Based in canon Equestria" or something like that. The cannibalism in Appleoosa does involve the maddening effect of Celestia's death, but it also is a later development and an isolated case.

But when it happens to the canon ponies, then it also makes the good bronies sad .

I've tried to be less about HFY and more looking at hyopcrisy and the potential for anyone regardless of who they are to be prone to falling to it. Even a horse can get on a high horse

Besides we all, every single one of us, likes to look at the darker side of human nature and that's what drives things like CB, then there are opposite HFY that embody the other polar extreme, I prefer to look at the times when light can shine even in the greatest and most terrible darkness, if that makes sense

If it makes you feel better, the idea is that through great sacrifice, they can pick up the pieces of their world and begin rebuilding anew. But I think you're right; I'd probably drop hints in the foreword that stuff ends up alright in the end, maybe.

Although if I'm completely honest with myself this fic is so far on my horizon that it's not even funny. I still have to finish In Dying Days (shameless plug, hope to have new chapter up by this weekend) which is a very long way away AND the 'grimdark sea pony vs. fishmen adventure' story mentioned earlier (additional shameless plug, summary on page 35 of brainstorming thread, and snippet on page 62) before I would even get to work drawing this up. So yeah.

In my version, I came up with an interesting idea for something that could happen.

Equestrian extremists get freaked out by Earth's military power and break a bunch of monsters out of Tartarus to preemptively attack us. Humanity understandably panics at the massively destructive mythical creatures trying to eat them. The saner ponies try to stop it, both for our sake and that of the monsters; it's not like it's the monsters fault that they're aggressive and destructive, and so long as they're in Tartarus they don't pose a threat.

It could potentially serve as a great way to address the pony view of humans. Something along the lines of "Those monsters are dangerous, but they can't control that, that's why we imprisoned them. You humans have the capacity to cause vast destruction, but you keep it under control as best you can and we can't fault you for that."

Wow I just got a massive revolation.
All those people who were talking how "Our ideas are just as bad as the TCB" like Shinji were constructive trolls. Troll may be to harsh a word but whatever. If it weren't for them, I was going to make my fic end with the TCB ponies get exterminated, but now after I dwelled on their ideas, I have changed my fic, so thank you Shinji, you have gave me constructive trolling.

I think its tame compared to some of the pics/fics of HFY exp in the MLP department, but the opposite has panties in a twist.

Of course as a genre I'm partial to actual published works. Its a big difference from the drek the internet spews all over itself.
