To be fair, everything you've listed arises logically from canon, except the reactions might be exaggerated.

Article 2 by Muppetz is easily one of the best written HiE fics currently around. Here's the story summary:

You're writing style for this fic is actually very close to Muppetz' style. If you look over a few of his comments over at ED, he claims to have served with the Marines (at least part-time, I think). Where your fic's action and plot comes together through painstaking research, his human OC is partially based on his own first-hand knowledge, I presume. I think you'd like his fic. Check out Article 2 when you've got some extra spare time.

I think the fic you're thinling of is Whiplash by Malatov Cocktail. I haven't gotten this hooked on one "sub-genre" of fanfiction since I actually started reading fanfiction 12 years ago. Used to read a ton of Super!Harry HP fics back in the day. I would've never dreamed of reading MLP fics a year ago. I think there are more MLP:FiM fics than EVA ones now. A very impressive feat. Do think I could get a degree in Fan Fiction Studies?

Anyway, doing some checking. I found that the XR-2 Ravenstar's stall speed is about 95 m/s (185 knots), with a critical angle of attack of 17 degrees. Once the speed drops below 95 knots, or you push the 17 degree AoA mark, the velocitry vector marker just plummets.

The existence of Minotaurs pretty much means that humans are unlikely to cause a huge panic reaction, given the similarity of physiques. We just don't have cow heads.

The Thessalonica Legacy by Dashukta features a language barrier, and none of the cliches you talked about. A Foul Light Shines by our very own Karazor not only features a language barrier, but the human characters touching down in Manehattan long before meeting any of the Mane Six. Both stories, incidentally, feature Rainbow Dash as the pony who gets most excited over the humans.

I've heard of Legacy, never seen Karazor's story before. These both sound really interesting, thanks for the recs!

I figured that happened too. Especially after she's been on the computer for so long, with enough time to look up the wiki on cloths, which leads to modesty and so on.

I really enjoyed the update. Shame it took a taser to get Twilight to lay off, and she still didn't get any rest until her body basically forced her. That is so Twilight though. Once she is latched onto something, you'd need somehting with a bit of bite to get her to stop.
