Nothing in particular, although Pinkie Pie does seem to be cheering up.

"No clue."

I blink as I look for a note they could have left.

Pinkie Pie bounds out into the room after hearing you come in.

"Oh, hi there! Everypony else is at the DART Headquarters right now, actually, why do they call it headquarters? That makes no sense, I mean it's not like..."

She continues rambling along this path for several minutes.

"That's not who I think it is, is it?" I say in a mix of disbelief and joy. Mainly because if that's the Great and Powerful Trixie, I'm happy that something worked out for her!

[If it's Shining Armor instead *shrug* it's okay, too!]

I blink. "Ah, then went to DART, you want to follow me out to them Jack?"

Indeed, as you walk into the room, you can see Trixie standing there, instructing several DART recruits on the art of illusion. She notices you all come in.

"Ah, Twilight Sparkle. Long time no see."

Twilight's emotions are conflicting a bit.

"Erm... hello Trixie, how have you been?"

"Fairly well, after getting laughed out of Ponyville-"

Twilight cringes.

"-I wandered for a bit, then went back to studying magic, so that I didn't have to rely on cheap tricks forever."

"Ah think Ah'm gonna stay here."

I nod. "Ok then, have a good day, but I am going to go after them, see you."

I give a heart smile as I teleport to the Dart HQ, then I look down and sigh as I look down and find that I have gender swapped, again, damn teleportation accidents.

"Illusion huh? Taught them to account for sound, touch, smell and taste on top of visuals yet? Afterall can't convince the target they are slowly freezing if they feel the summer sun on their fur. Or that they are swimming if they can't taste the water."

"What the brain senses...the brain believes."

"That's what I'm working on, they seem to be having trouble with it though. They have the visual working fairly well, but not the sound."

With a sigh I walk towards the direction of the booming voice. ".... hello guys" I say as I come across the group.

You stumble across an old caravan in the middle of a field, just a little bit off of a road. It is a light blue with stars and planets adorning the sides. It has writing that slightly glows on the door.

"Oh, hi there. How did the house building go?"

"THAT will get someone killed. Just because you look like a flowering bush for an ambush doesn't mean you can sound like a trooper in combat assist powered armor. "

"The target needs to hear the leaves rustling, smell the flowers in bloom as well as see them. Lets just say going against a master of illusion and you aren't prepared? Suicide. they could make you think your heart stopped. Game over."

I nod. "Very well, plant magic helped it along nicely, gotta see if I can help you rebuild your home."
I look down. "Chaos magic is chaotic though, female again."

She shakes her head and grins softly at the unexpected sight. "Trixie Lulamoon, eh?" Leave it to the show mare to appear at the headquarters of a cutting edge special forces division. "Perchance you finally put proof to your claims since that unfortunate time?"

"Good to see you're back on your hooves, Miss Trixie." I pause for a moment and get control of myself again. 'Why the hell does she need to smack me just as hard in the hormones as Rarity, Fluttershy and Frosty?' I wince internally at the last entry on my list and decide to change the topic in my internal monologue. "What advice do you have for fighting off an illusion?"

"I know all of this. It's just hard for the new recruits to grasp these concepts."

"Well, thank you for offering, but I think I can handle it, it is only one tree."

"Neigh, those claims were far too outrageous for me to ever fulfill, but I've been doing my best and training my hardest."

"Look for inconsistencies in the illusion, if you can spot them, you can break through it if you choose."

I smile and nod. "I would still be glad to help."

I turn to see if the dart team leader from before is there, I got an idea to run by her.

Star Surge is still present.

I close my eyes and concentrate. I imagine absolutely everything I can rember about a roser bush. The look and feel of not only the flowers but the light and shadow on the leaves and thorns. The scent of ythe flowerts and of earth. Wrap my magic around me in a shroud and do my best to become the bush.scent of blossoms and freshly turned earth. The look and sound of thhe bush. Let the mgic flow and mingle shaping it as best as I can. Create an illusionairy rose bush where I'm standing complete with sight, sound and smell. A convincing fake.

"So pass or fail Miss Lulamoon?"

"Closer than most of my recruits for sure. However, there is one thing you failed to note. The shadow at your feet is still pony shaped. Still, if this is your first effort, it is certainly an impressive one."

I walk over to Star surge as I watch trixcy and the others talk training. "Hello again... I was wondering, how would your team like to train against a being with chaos magic?"

"To be fair, I think you could pull off at least half of them if you put some thought into it. Though they would be rather silly to risk without a dang good reason..." She rubs the back of her mane and blushes faintly, recalling the momentary urge she had felt entering this room to ignore both good instructions and common sense by weaving between any active spells.

"Don't forget the most important rule: don't try to disbelieve the fireball that is real. That could get really painful."

"You would have to ask my commanding officer, she's hesitant about using anything potentially dangerous in the base."

Star Surge gestures respectfully towards Trixie.

"Always an important point."

'Like how Trixie hasn't referred to herself in the third person yet.' I think.

"I see." I draw in a breath, and gather a bit of magic.

"Veritas vos liberabit. [The truth will set you free.]" I intone as I pulse the magic to propagate like a stone thrown into a still pond. Hopefully that will disrupt the illusion that's still here.

Concentrate on my magic again.Close my eyes. Think of wood. Seasoned wood thats been varnished.A filing cabinet made of wood with clear labels on the drawers. I imagine the grain of the wood.How the cabinets would feel if they touched it and how the shadow would look with the lights the way they are. For fun add a small potted plant on top. A daisy in a small pot imagining how said plant and the pot it is in looks , fells, tastes, smells. How the shadows play.
