Awesome episode

Particularly arrogant since it was the same power source the Changling Queen tapped for her invasion. And did anyone find the Queen using Cadence's words while gloating particularly sinister?

Also horn kissing and rings are canon, plus we have an explanation for AJ's hat. Seems she had it under her dress before. Plus a Wonderbolts 'dress uniform' pic with RD, Soaring I think, but it was a quick flash. Looks a bit like a USAF uniform.

They actually noted where Luna was- the entire invasion happened during the night, and it was morning when Luna returned.

Not bad.

I think this is the second time we've seen a major villain vanquished without the use of the Elements.

Did they have to put Luna on the bus for this episode? Does it pains Hasbro to have Luna in the episode for more than five seconds?1?

A sad lack of Discord and Luna. I'm guessing Luna was sleeping?

Villian went Cliche at the end? "The power of Love? What can that do?" Uh, don't you, you know, use it for power yourself?

Rarity was awesome, as always.

Overall, a good episode. Though I still wish there had been more lead in for the new characters.

She was watching the Night- so that Celestia could be at the wedding ofc.

I guess she was sitting back and enjoying the show with a big bag of popcorn ;7

And now, to wait for someone to finally upload a good quality version of the episode on youtube.

They should have had Luna sneak in, grab the elements and have the elements pin the Changling down while Cadence and Shining do their thing. That would have worked even better and given Luna her just and true awesomesauceitude.

But that's okay, it worked fairly awesomely as it was.

My bet is on Luna kicking Changeling ass offscreen; perhaps keeping them from ravaging the rest of Equestria.

Out-of-universe, they probably hadn't planned a role for her in the plot when writing it, and only managed to fit her into a couple cameos because of fan demand.

Pretty decent finale episode. The Batman-style fight (along with sound effects) is nice.

At least, Hasbro (or the animation studio) didn't exclude Luna completely.

Seeing how surprised everypony was, I'm guessing the changeling assault was the first major one anypony can remember.

So any word on how long we'll have to wait for Season 3?

Also, what happened to all that military build-up?

The queen herself implies that they have just found Equestria. Thinking about it, I want to know what tipped off Canterlot that something was wrong.

Now I'm picturing the Changeling Queen doing scouting, and grabbing some random pony for energy. After the other ponies get wind of it, they call in the guard, who call in Shining Armor, who calls in Celestia, and the Queen ends up having to flee without them forcing her to drop her shapeshift until she's almost out of sight.

Looks like it got swamped by the massive changeling army...
