    Brilliant, good sir. Simply brilliant.

I can live with that answer.

Luna's kinda an important character to the FiM-verse even if she isn't a main character. It's pointless for her to be introduced to the show and not be used more often.

Equestria's military is still a crapshoot, love is a quantifiable superweapon, and the world Equestria is on is invested with RPG enemies. What an episode. Songs were cool too.

Also, was I the only one who immediately thought "It's the Founders!" when the villainess revealed herself?

    Got a pick of that?
  5. Yeah, I was hoping Luna would show up at the last minute with the Elements. Kinda disappointing.
  6. Possible, but that had Celesita's seal on it.

No, have to wait for someone to put up part two, it was during the wedding reception snap shots.
  7. Richardson Not a Chicken

    Yeah, should have gone:

    Luna gets them the Elements.
Changing queen turns around just in time to protect herself, but is pinned against the wall by the power. But since SHE is running on the power of love as well, she can't quite be HARMONY-FU'D by the level of power that even the Elements can put out.
Cadence hatches crazy idea and both yanks the extra power and runs Shining's spell through herself (likely hurting herself in the process) that blasts the Changling Queen out of the ballpark.

Would have given everyone a part and highlighted the fact that the queen really was that genere savvy and dangerous with the POWAH OF LOVE!
  8. Wow, just, Wow!

That was great! It managed to pull off a few great twists; this is really really great.

Just a quick summary of what I liked:

    -Luna cameos FTW!

-Shining Armor is great; I love how he sounds like a surfer half the time. :D Also, Candence feels like the archtypal "cool big sis" character, which is alright with me.

-Loved the new villain song, and, by extension the new villain; seeing as how we all assumed Discord would come back, it was a great twist to introduce not only a new character, but an entire new faction; worldbuilding FTW!

-While I thought Twi's song at the beginning has great visuals, the actual lyrics and beat of the first song was very "meh" for me. Thankfully her song at the end more than made up for it.

-I loved the running gag with Spike not knowing what a bachelor party was. Same we never saw him and Shining Armor interact with each other; would've been nice to see the guys hang out together.

    -Epic battle was epic.

-I loved how it was Shining Armor and Cadence's love for each other that beat the bad guys; this was supposed to be their big day after all, so I found it to be really fitting. It was surpising that the Elements of Harmony were never brought into play though; just goes to show that the power of true love is just as strong as the power of friendship.

-The Changeling queen was easily as good a villain as Discord; she manipulated everyone perfectly; her only flaw was leaving the brainwashed bridesmaids behind to act as guards; and like all villains, she allowed the heroes to gain the upper hand because she was assured of own victory.

-Rainbow put it best: "Best. Wedding. Ever!" Sonic Rainboom is the perfect way to cap off the season.

Man, the wait for the BroNYCon is gonna feel like forever; the wait for new pony eps is gonna feel like an eternity.

The guy's captain of the guard.

I could see him asking the princess he works for to send an express delivery letter to his lil' sis.
  10. Jim Starluck CO, ICS Vanguard

I suspect they wanted to avoid making the Elements of Harmony a predictable gets-rid-of-villain plot device.

  12. Ooh, good catch.

I like how Celestia is personally badass but not OMGPOWEROFGODS, but the unicorn guard captain holds off invading armies by himself because magic shields are his special talent. Brace yourself, Shining Armor fics are coming.
  13. DrTempo The Doc of XOvers

I LOVED this! True, needed more Luna, but with all those Changelings, she was probably busy.
  14. Looks like Ponyhammer has a new race. Should they be Dark Elves or Necron?

I still like Penguins as Necron though.
  15. Nightmare Moon VS Queen of the Changelings

I want someone to write that. I really do.
  16. Russell Feels Good Man

... How did the Changeling Queen sneak in to begin with? Or was she already in when the threat was reported (presumably anonymously). If that was the case, how did anyone know?

Was it a different threat, and this just happened to get caught by total coincidence?

Also: How did she know about the caverns beneath Canterlot? She seems to be fairly new to Equestria, given her "Oh I am so surprised at all the LOOOOOVE" monologue.

I'm thinking... there may yet be a mole in Canterlot.
  17. Richardson Not a Chicken

Yes, I suspect we are seeing the starts of a setup for an epic quest second series.
  18. General Schatten Retired Fictional General, Director of USCI

Dark Eldar, not sure how that would work with the Eldeer, though...
  19. Richardson Not a Chicken

You know, they have to be the Dark Eldar of the setting.

Why? Because take a closer look, notice what their wings are made of.

They're all FLUTTERPONIES. (I take no credit for this discovery.)
  20. So the Seaponies are Equestrian Deep Ones?

BTW: The Wonderbolt dress uniform shot can be seen at 20:26 on the second part.
  21. Richardson Not a Chicken

Well, no, I've pointed out that it could very well be that they were twisted into the monsters they've become by Discord. There could be a set of them unchanged running around somewhere in the world. (thus giving us our Eldar quotient. The Seaponies are the Tau of the setting.)
  22. Vulpine Fury It's MAAAAAGIC!

Thought on who warned them: a changeling went native. The pony he or she copied had a lover who loved the copied pony so much it overfilled the changeling.
  23. I had to pause a whole lot because my mom kept wanting to talk to me, but I made it through.

    Holy. Crap.

I love how this season shows us two new species of magical beings that feeds on the opposite ends of the Love-Hate spectrum, one being Windigos, and the other Changelings (or Flutterponies as Richard noticed).

Also, evidently Equestria is adjacent to a Wasteland if the area the Changlings were cast off to.

Idea: It was Bon Bon. Explains her constantly changing voice...

They showed up at the party after the wedding.
