Not on Holy Terra, no that'd be Heresy. The'd go in and go the slow route, land and air invasion to maximize damage to the filthy xenos while minimizing long-term damage to future usability to humanity.

Limited bombardment. This is Holy Terra, and nearly all that is of humanity in these times. After breaking the shield and and backbone of the invading armies (Or cratering the most major cities, whatever, they're xenos), the Imperials will be landing to fucking well drive closer and hit them with swords. The Mechanicus, meanwhile, will be talking to the local factories about armaments. Supposedly, las-gun tech is well within the means of 20th/21st century Earth to produce. I imagine the priesthood will be having a hard fought discussion about whether or not the Emperor should be sought out, or if they should wait for Him to reveal Himself.

On Holy Terra? When it still has greenery?

Anyone that even sugested it would probably be killed on the spot by either a Chaplain, Inquisitor, Imperial Priest or Space Marine Captain(or above). This is Terra, even entering the Sol system is considered a holy event by the most Imperials, actuly standing on Terra itself is a religious experience of a lifetime... Bombarding Terra makes you an arch-heretic, especialy when theres not even remotely a need for it.

Holy Terra is being defiled here and now by the presence of this xenos filth. The sooner we can land our forces to destroy them, the sooner Terra will be clean once more. A limited bombardment will cause minimal collateral damage, and speed the cleansing significantly while saving ammunition more suited to killing xenos than dropping continental shields. Unless you intend to land Titans and inflict their brand of damage on land undefiled by xenos filth.

Okay, okay! Point taken, here. Land the space marines and drive tanks up to them for sword-hitting.

Or worse, a Sisters of Battle warship...

Lets build a gatling gun out those bad mothers and see if she can freeze them all, we know she gets tired eventually and my money is on her getting too worn out to keep going more quickly trying to keep up. She'd even be helping us eliminate our overly large nuclear stockpile!

Granted, the chances of this coming up in this fic are very, very small, but its still a fun mental image.

And now I have the strangest idea for a crack fic revolvig around humans convincing Xenolestia that humanity isn't pure evil by walking around on all fours. "Nobody that can walk on fours could possibly be evil!"

Actually what do you mean by ‘freeze’?
Lowering the temp would not stop a detonation. If she was just turning off the nuclear reaction then it isn’t all that impressive power-wise, just a good application of reality hax.

Thinking on that has anyone dropped TCB on the Nasuverse? I’m sure Clocktower would love to have a whole new race, whith completely alien magic system, to... research.
