As someone who is currently pissed off at TCB authors right now, I wish to ensue you do not go that route lest I be forced to Renegade interrupt you. Multiple times.

True. We had a discussion on how Celestia might react to them on the "Widening the Lens" thread. One guy came out with this as her response after cooling down upon meeting one of the authors:

In her defense she's apparently a social worker, and social workers have a tendency to have their souls ground into dust after several years on the job. It's the main reason my brother gave for why he's considering some other line of work after he gets out of college. Ah, but he still wants to help people, and he's studying to be a social worker because of that.

Like I said, Chat's a brilliant author and while I may dislike where she goes with her stories, they're damn interesting to read.

Somewhere in my headspace is the guy who buys Equestrian materials to one-off via offset printing and manual bookbinding as much Literature/Philosophy, etc. as he can to sneak in when he emigrates.

I'm not sure that's really a defense so much as enabling (the job, not you.) Most social works I know of tend to lean towards happy, jolly, let me forget everything I see on a daily basis sort of stuff, and the ones who create do that as well. Methinks she's just grade-a batshit.

That's also possible. I neither know her, nor am I telepathic. She could be a poor lost soul ground into nothing by the world around her, she could be an honest Jane who's views are a little out there, or she could be a low-down no-good swindlin' piece of horse manure that's about as desirable as a counterfeit Confederate dollar at the annual RNC Union victory party in Pennsylvania.

People have claimed that my story is horribly misanthropic. They didn't mention TCB. In fact, they wrote a meta-story about how misanthropic my story was which quoted my introduction as 10% of its word count.
