Ah crap. I kept my Holy Hand Grenades there.
And I Believe I could fly....
And the magical gattling guns are on level five.
*Nightmare walks behind him, stops and rolls her eyes*
Luna actually already grabbed them.
Not here Harry. Not here.
Well, that answers that.
Welcome to The FiMFicversion Bureau, where FFers start taking over SB.
Ah! A Novice! Welcome to SB!
Please note that every desk, closet, bathroom, trashcan and forum car has an emergency zombie supply. Also, the controls for our Sufficient Velocity railgun are located at every T-junction, and emergency SAN is available at the cafeteria, and in the soda machines.
Have a nice day![/quote]
Thanks to everyone who welcomed me! Honestly I know next to nothing about this forum, since I only learned about it through the referral, but I think I like this place. Science, science fiction and technology geekery are right up my alley.
If you don't mind me asking, who else has joined?
Also, I noticed you were the one who first linked to my fic, dude you're seriously my hero right now
Oh, and since Chatoyance tried to shit up my comments section, I only suppose it's fair that I share this little video she did:
It really drills in the fact that this is a fifty year-old woman.
Well me for one - story link my my description. This site is insanely awesome. Emphasis on the insane, and the awesome.

Starman...that is scary. Not sure if I want to click.
The eyes, they cannot unsee.
Yeah talk about a face made for radio.
The real mystery, as far as I'm concerned, is why she thought it warranted a Youtube video. I mean, for a few lines of lyrics? Really?
Commissar Twilight is not pleased.
I'll say again, she's one of the more nutty TCB authors, though most of the others aren't much better...
I've seriously considered writing a snip in which I drop Admiral Wilkhaim Kol (plus a fleet and a Titan) from FoaSE on their head.
Then my brain kicked in, and I realized it would be silly.
Still, the idea beckons...
Now, let's get back to our supposed discussion, before the mods become angy with us (again).
Any more comments on Not Alone? Because I'm seriously secconding this fic. Putting aside the TCB!pony bashing, it's extraordinarily well-written. Every chapter is told as a news broadcast, a blog post, an interview, or something simmilar, and they're perfectly believable. There's some serious Salvation War vibe to it, in the "Humanity is a very scary thing when provoked" way.
Hat's off to the author!
EDIT: Also, my ego insists on it.
EDIT EDIT: Really.
I have never read any of TCB, nor do I really plan on it... but have any of the authors realized that the Ponies are not really that different from Humans yet? From what I hear it's all "Humans are horrible this" or "Ponies are horrible that"
Has there been one where it is 'Ponies and Humans are horrible, blah blah blah killzemall!'
Well, in mine in general ponies are taken down a couple of pegs and humans aren't the monsters they're portrayed as. Ponies could generally be just another bunch of people, save that they're not from this world.
When she said "of elation" I thought she said "ovulation". That is all.
*Points at the Advent*
I told you using the Rei tanks with Twilight's DNA would be nothing but trouble.
Besides FoaSE, since that's so fucking fantastic it doesn't count anymore. Seriously, that's a good fic. As was A Hero. What happened to that, anyway?
Reminds me of the ST novel Spock's World. Parts give background on Vulcan and it's history, one part being when they had first contact, via space pirates. "Vulcans called it The War. Thus demoting all prior wars to mere tribal conflicts." Note this was when Surak was alive, but his teachings still spreading. Let us just say the response from Vulcan was very, very thorough.
I think it would be fair to say Humanity is a very scary thing full stop. We're capable of... well, anything. From the most heinous act you can imagine to the loftiest ideals you can conceive.
