  1. Darth Invictus True Ruler of the Crystal Empire

I'm sure there's a Wynssa Starflare holo equivelant

I wanted a Sith to get it but it's not that important
  2. Herald It doesn't really matter

  3. Lightning_Count Zar Belk!

    My thoughts exactly :D

You know you could write a really fun crime caper, the Thrawn Heist :D
  4. General Hanibar I need a secretary to note my greatest ideas

    DeLievv's ribs GROW BACK. :-D

Coming next post: Hennibar in public funeral for the Queen. And SMERSH order too.
  5. Antonid_Delievv Adorable Cat (hug me!)

Pffff... not a single coment about the absurd nigthmare? I thought you will catch it. How disappointing...
  6. Corp General of Seventh Gate

Say Invictus were you still planning on using Dooku? Because I think there's a line forming behind you. :p

Also just a general note on Friday I go on vacation and I expect my access to the net will be nill. So if you have something you need me to do speak up now.
  7. Darth Invictus True Ruler of the Crystal Empire

I wanted him for a single part in a post where he and Beldorion team up and I divulge a little bit of their backstories in the old Jedi Order, I can use elastic time if needed, if anyone wants him for anything go ahead
  8. PhantomVX2000 Breaking the reality

Could you imagine how many designs Dooku had gone through when coming up with a superlaser platform design?

Here's one of the rejected Geonosian superweapon designs. :p

benefit of being a Sith Lord, you don't have to explain yourself, just electrocute people until the message gets across :D
  10. PhantomVX2000 Breaking the reality

Unfortunately some people simply don't get it. :p

    *coughs* Darth Macharius. *coughs*
  11. Lightning_Count Zar Belk!

luckiest son of a bitch alive :D

And only because I have a weakness for not killing PCs on a whim. Otherwise Devian would not have shown mercy...
  12. Darth Invictus True Ruler of the Crystal Empire

I blame his apprentice, who knew a mentally destroyed child with superpowers wasn't the best adviser? Besides it got results and terrified the Witches against helping Ventress any further as well as enhanced Devians rep on Dathomir and there is something in his past that helped influence him to do it (if he hadn't killed the baby would Deivan have objected?). Aside from that one incident (which was inspired by an NGO report I read via Amnesty on something that the Janajweed did in Darfur)

He tends to only kill people in a brutal fashion if they've done something bad enough for him to justify doing it to himself, he tends to make sure everyone knows he's done it like dispatching the ones who wanted to join Revan or murdering the general on Dathomir after he'd screwed up time after time and promoted someone who'd do the job better. He's more willing to promote people if they show they can do the job better than the person above them and his House is a gamblers paradise, take a risk and you get a big reward, take a risk and screw up bad enough and nothing can save you, sort of like Thrawn tempered with some of the Vader school of command

When I go into some more of Macharius's origin and backstory of when he was in the Sith Empire I always thought needless cruelty and brutality would have been frowned upon. In the slave states overseers knew not to unnecessarily antagonize and brutalize their slaves, they had to live with them every day, endless antaognization wouldn't make for productive chattel, if an overseer got unnecessarily vicious or brutal and wantonly cruel some day he'd be found with his skull caved in and surprise surprise, none of the slaves know anything about it

The Sith had to work with their underlings and slaves every day as well, needless cruelty and wanton killing would be detrimental as you lose your own property (and cost the Sith the resoruces and time it took to train the servant plus any skills or experience they had) for the sake of seeing red. Plus the Sith were gearing up for a war on an unparallelled scale with the Republic and had finite resources which they could devote towards that end, they didn't have the option of Galactic Empire style mass murder because they weren't big enough to take the hit the loss would cause to their plans
  13. Lightning_Count Zar Belk!

The other High Lords would have been cool, but Devian prefers to ruin lives without touching them, more a psychological tormentor. Can't suffer if you're inconveniently dead ;)

Devian rewards cleverness but looks down on savagery. it has its place, but only when othe roptions are impractical. He is incredribly cruel and malicious, very spiteful to the point of making spite an art, but as he looks at pain as a type of artform he looks at those who wield it subtly as his favored apprentices.

We haven't seen much of Devian's court, just his guards and generals, not his regular retainers. They would probably be the most despicaple and depraved sentients alive, but to look at them you'd never think it. Very refined and civilised on the outside.
Going to have a few arcs with them post war, serial killer style
  14. Darth Invictus True Ruler of the Crystal Empire

Despite everything Devian still doesn't come off as big of a monster as people like Styxian does, when he cuts loose it's for a reason, there's no mayhem or murder for the sake of murder and mayhem while other Sith flaunt their depravity more openly like Styxian brutalizing his Jedi prisoner when he could've sired a child much more easily like Devian did. Then there are Sith like Macharius who are goal driven but still happy to indulge their darker whims if they get the chance (though there's a reason why he is like he is in the last post he was in)

Then there's Vicius who comes off as almost saintly in contrast to his colleagues
  15. An Ancient God of Zeppelins

Devian's scarier though, other Sith can be randomly vicious and make mistakes. Devian doesn't, he just turns up, accomplishes his goal, and leaves.
  16. Tabi AsukaQuest Has Infected Me With Cat Ears

Heh, he does, doesn't he? Mind you I didn't exactly intend for that impression to come forth.
  17. Darth Invictus True Ruler of the Crystal Empire

Compared to others he's more mild but we've not really had any exploration of the mindset of the Sith Empire at the time he, Macharius and the other Imperial defectors left it, the one we've seen in TOR is after they're had a chance to cut loose and rampage for a few decades while our Sith left around 300 years prior, we've got a fair bit of room to play with if we want to develop it, it's turned out some very varied Sith Lords
  18. Antonid_Delievv Adorable Cat (hug me!)

I supposse that can also be aplied to Mandus...
  19. Varezart Princeps Regnum Asturorum

I found it........disturbing, I think that I recognized the scene but I´m not sure.............;)
  20. Lumus Iden Now available as chibi

Nice post Tabi although I have a very minor nitpick
That boy is mute, talks somehow through the force by emiting his emotion or something, so I don't see a reason for you needing to included the voice part ;)

Consinering how Jerecc views Lua now... I can't help to wonder what his reaction would be if he found out that Lua's older sister Lunaia have sort of becomed his aunt during his time with the Sith :D
  21. Tabi AsukaQuest Has Infected Me With Cat Ears

Lua is capable making sounds with his voice yes?
  22. Lumus Iden Now available as chibi

Beyond breathing I don't figure him to be able to do any sounds, the reason he is mute is supposed cause his vocal cords never developed, a small birth defect thad happend cause he is a mixed offspring of a human father and a near human mother
  23. Tabi AsukaQuest Has Infected Me With Cat Ears

Ah, very well. I shall change it then. I daresay Lua may or may not kill Dysonius and usurp his position?
  24. Lightning_Count Zar Belk!

I'd say Devian's definitive quality is that he is calm. He dresses well, he shaves, keeps his hair neat, he speaks clearly and politely in most circumstances and very rarely loses his temper. He's gone past the point where he really feels things, he's detached from life so events that happen don't effect him, nothing draws an emotional response, so he just trundles along doing his thing.

This is also what makes him dangerous. Anger is an emotion, one that can override rationality. Each of the other High Lords has been killed because we played them, we triggered some sort of response in them that lured them to their doom. Their emotional human side betrayed them. Devian doesn't have that flaw which is why he's in charge :)

Each of the major sith represented a different aspect of darkness, and for Devian it is cruelty. Cruelty is cold, directed, to work best it has to be controlled and focused and that's Devian. Where things like anger and hate are hardwired responses cruelty isn't, it is always a choice.

He's more from the Dracula school of villainy I think, refined but needlessly nasty. He likes to see those who oppose him in pain which is not something I'd like to read on a CV :D
  25. Tabi AsukaQuest Has Infected Me With Cat Ears

Nevertheless, you appear to be well versed in writing it for us to read! :p
