Hi there, all. I'm not much of an artist. I wish I were, as I have what I think are awesome pictures and scenes in my head, but no way to put them on paper or pixel. The best I've ever been able to manage is cut 'n paste kitbashes using other people's work to create things that are sorta-kinda my own. I did this using Windows Paint because it's simple and easy to work with. Anyway, many years ago, I put together a ship using bits from a bunch of Babylon 5 ships. It was in memory of a dear friend who passed away of a congenital heart defect at the age of 21. I named the ship after her, the Ileana. Anyway, I had no real idea what setting the Ileana would be tied to until several years later when I was reading through an old West End Games RPG supplement and ran across a reference to a ship that didn't have a picture or game stats, just a fluff blurb that reads "Of the many craft he owns, Sprax's favorite is one of seven Shadow Keepers ever built, a ship as deadly in space combat as its namesake, a predator native to Kashyyyk's deadly jungles." So it's a Star Wars ship, it's a deadly warship, it's ultra-rare, and one of them was a favorite of a Black Sun Vigo. And that's it, the only other tangential info is about the Shadow Keeper animal itself, which has a tiny little entry on Wookieepedia here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kkekkrrg_rro This is what I cobbled together several years back. It looks great (I think) from some angles, but it looks like a beached penguin from others. And it doesn't look particularly Star Warsy. What I'm hoping someone can do is take this and transform it into a CGI version that retains the essence of the design while making it into a deadly, fearsome little warbird along the same lines as Slave 1 and Darth Maul's Scimitar. Ideally, I'd like to have a full internal deckplan and a short three or four minute long presentation movie like FuzzyModem did for his Enterprise-F entry. Now then, I know that's asking a boatload, and I'm not naive enough to think I can get all that for nothing. So here's the deal. I'm willing to pay for it. If anyone's interested in taking on the job, PM me and we can talk about it. PS: The colors are not set in stone by any means. I just never got around to changing them to anything else.

Hello everyone, I am a long time Traveller RPGer of 36+yrs ...I am looking for a designed space ship to use in my Campaign based out of Traveller 2300 AD era... I am looking for a spaceship based off the design of the ship used in ALIENS...the USS Sulaco (Colonial Marines Cruiser/Transport). This spaceship would use simular tech but it should use : - 2-3 Med Beam Plasma (dual gun) turrets, - 8-12 Med. Pulse Plasma (dual gun) turrets, - 2 Missile bays, - Landing bay for up to 4 drop ships The ships would be a Cruiser for the American Space Force Navy and carry either Marines, Seals, or SeaBees as a Colony Transport Cruiser to defend the American Arm colonies against any threats. The space ship is the main design of the American Space Force Navy as a Battle Cruiser and Troop transport. These are not huge ships, but they have armor, and basic energy shielding(new tech). They also use new Plasma weapons systems, I use Plasma Bay Weapons, Plasma Beam turrets, and Plasma Pulse turrets, plus missile bays. They use all sorts of scanners and jammers, along with Shuttle Warp (FTL basic style tech). Between crew and troops, maybe they carry 200 service men totsl in Cryo Sleep beds. So basically I am looking for someone to come up with view of the ship and I would like to call the class: Red Dawn -Trasport/Crusiser class for the American Space Force Navy, with a USA symbol on it's side. The American nation within my campaign based in 2330 AD has become rather aggressive and extremely pro-American # 1. Looking for some help.... Penn

Hey guys, here's my request if anyone would be so kind as to draw it.. Basically, a few of us came up with a cool drawing idea in a certain thread that involves a bar fight between Master Chief, Commander Shepard, Adam Jensen, and augmented people from Jensen's universe being the common barfolk. Now, the main focus of the picture is Alcatraz, who is bathing in a giant tub of beer, while other people pour beer into the tub and on top of him: Now, you can stray somewhat from the template, and add some stuff you like, but this is pretty much what the basis is. If someone could turn this into a full, awesome looking picture, it would be much appreciated and extremely badass.

So my current avatar is a picture I found on Google which is a scarily close rendition of my first RPG character, created like 10 years ago. I love this character and I would like to request a drawing of him since I am currently using somebody else's artwork.... on a public forum.... without permission. It just doesn't sit well with me. So I would like to request somebody draw one since I have zero artistic talent to speak of. Further information for prospective artists will follow: His hair shimmers in the light as he walks. It looks like fire only it doesn't stand up and his eyes were the same way. Like an inferno. He also looked like he had been sunburned several times over. He appears like a human in their early twenties. Technically, he does wear armor, but only in combat, so don't bother with that. He can cover his body similar to what you see in my current avatar, but doesn't do that often since it destroys everything around him. He uses a long sword, but I don't have any particular description concerning it. If you want anymore information or clarification, feel free to PM me. I am pretty much on my computer all day, so usually I respond pretty quickly.
Meh, you guys, I think it's useless. Not one person has responded in this thread that they would ever carry out a request, and well.. I guess that means there aren't many artists on SB. :/
That doesn't mean nobodies requests are fulfilled. Responses are probably done through PMs to avoid cluttering the thread.
There are plenty of posts from others saying that they wished someone would do their request. Only those in the 1st page got a response, and many people repost asking for others to do their ideas.
I can pretty much guarantee no one's gotten their requests fulfilled. We don't have a lot of 2d artists, and most of the requests have been dumb or complicated or both. (Why are they dumping beer on him?)
This. Though I did consider doing the one for the 2330 AD guy because I'm a pretty big fan of the 2300 setting, but he didn't seem to stick around. And from his description he was taking some uhhh pretty big liberties with things.
Because it was an idea in one of the threads where Alcatraz, Master Chief, Commander Shepard, and Adam Jensen are, by the powers of ROB, put into one bar. Since Alcatraz's suit can literally absorb alien gunk through his fingers, his suit can probably absorb any liquid like substance through nanobots, and Alcatraz can't get drunk. So he's trying to absorb as much beer as possible to see if he can get drunk. Of course, the nanobots will pretty much just burn it off and turn it into excess energy, but you know. He's trying it out, and dammit, it's a funny picture.
This: Less is more. If you have an interesting, original idea, sure, artists will consider filling requests. Things that disqualify requests for me are: -Fanart. I don't really care for drawing fanart of established characters, mainly because established characters have a ton of images out there already. -Overly complicated descriptions: Because seriously, nothing I draw will be exactly as you imagined it, and it's a pain to "tick" things off the checklist anyways. Generally any request with a diagram falls into this. -Crossovers: Because it's fanart x2 (or more). Funny? Possibly. Fun to draw/paint? Yeah no.
