Well, that's certainly flash fiction... May I contribute the next chapter ? "Run-time Error in Universe 2.0: Retry ? Y/N"

(Edit proposed by User2. Accepted to increase player equity.) This action requires input from at least three AI Advisors. (Players are AI Advisors)
Yeah, I thought that was a bit harsh - you didn't let me look at my surroundings etc. then killed everyone. >Y
I don't think you're quite getting the point here...I mean, if the question is "play the game, or not", and you answer "west", what do you think is going to happen? If, after that, you decide to answer "no", well, the author/GM can scarcely be blamed for responding to your answer honestly. >Y
Votes tallied. Y carries with 2/3 of the vote. A dim red light goes on somewhere in the dark. Booting firmware... -Done! Booting OS... ... -ERROR- --OS not found! ---Unit requires guidance from AI Advisors. ODAQ 1101 awaiting instruction. Excellent. We now have an ODAQ. Unfortunate that it is missing the operating system. It won't be able to act on its own without it.
O.D.A.Q. Orbital Deployment Attack Quadruped. A rapid response all purpose military land unit and ship to ship boarding munition.
Please excuse the sucktacular art, by the way. I could just as easily not do any, but I need the practice.
The ODAQ deploys an omnitool, configures an optics component, and examines itself for damage. Its physical profile, that of a "fattened sliver" allows it to appear fairly nonthreatening until it chooses to unleashes the veritable orchestra of concealed weaponry beneath its almost calming, opaque white exterior. The imposing four meter stature, sharply pointed legs, and malevolent red eye tend to give it away as a war machine, though. ODAQ 1101: No observable damage. Self diagnostic confirms unit is fully functional.
Most IF I've played usually allows me to examine my surroundings or tells me a little about them before giving me life or death Y\N decisions Back to the game: >examine surroundings >examine red light
The red glow intensifies, pivots a full 360 degrees. It reveals a glossy white corridor, featureless and sterile, stretching off into the dark. ODAQ 1101 appears to be in an unlit corridor. Dimensions are consistent with that of a major transit tunnel aboard a starship. It appears ODAQ 1101 is still onboard. The ODAQ swivels its omnitool to get a closer look at its optics and armor piercing laser. ODAQ 1101: No damage.
That's a fair point. Consider the incident a practice run and potential warning: Things can go horribly, catastrophically wrong if you let them (or cause them). I do not guarantee a happy ending or even a happy story. Only the one you, the players, make happen.
An ODAQ is a very compact piece of hardware intended for combat and maintenance. Its inventory is limited to whatever it can carry. ODAQ 1101 is not currently carrying anything. 1101's red eye grows brighter. The darkness recedes some, revealing more of the same homogenous corridor.
I had originally intended to update once per day, with crummy artwork every other day or so. Unfortunately one of my college classes has conspired against me with a large project. Expect slowdowns for another week and a half.

at this point it would have been helpful to know if the corridor runs N\S, E\W or what
>move forwards
Sorry for the humoungous delay. Been really busy and had a bad computer crash. Lost pretty much everything, including all documentation I had on this here adventure... so I guess I'll just wing it for now. Expect inconsistencies and other problems until I can rewrite all the narrative.
The ODAQ moves out into the dark corridor without any specfic destination to reach. A third of a kilometer later it reaches an airlock and finally stops. ODAQ 1101: End of corridor reached. Cannot continue. Awaiting instruction. ODAQ 1101 has compiled a simple map while it was on the move. Possible points of interest are hilighted in yellow.
