Even before we figure out how to make an actual boat, or better yet a airospace-craft, we can get to the land like that, and fish alone does not make a healthy diet. The chickens will help, but we can't bring that much through, so it'll be awhile before we can afford to kill some besides eating eggs. Eggs which aren't hatching into more chickens. Red meat is good for a healthy diet. And we'll need to go onto the land anyway, unless Atlantes has farmland somewhere.

Will we have to treat this as if we were setting up a colony yes, but in the eye's of the IOA their not seeing eye to eye here, which will make it hard for us to convince them of letting us have certain things since in their eye's we're an expedition. Hell we should see if we can grab some more people then we've been allotted.

Now avatars idea on what to do with the crossbows is a good idea since it means we wouldn't be wasting our time hunting.

Things to add to the list see if we can take a fair amount of people more then what was originally said we could bring.

It might work if you have various special forces earthwide with 3-4 month deployments. Enough so it isn't a huge strain on ZPMs and the gate network, but not so long that they don't stay 'Frosty'.

Huh, looking at that, I didn't think to consider that we might not have puddlejumpers. I again suggest we bring at least one inflatable raft through with us, so we have some water transport. I think a digging machine was mentioned earlier, and i that doesn't take up to much gate time, it would be good just in case we need to tunnel a non-submerged way to the surface.

When GM is silently 'advising' that this won't be your traditional OTL Pegasus Galaxy, that it looks that you will probably be cut-off from Earth for a loooong time and that the GM finds your R&D choices 'interesting', it means that you should begin to run away screaming it will be much much worse then the TV serie and plan and prepare accordingly.

Oh sorry then. My mistake. If you aks me I think the bonuses mean something along the lines of 'virtues': gaining a lot of power and might in the Galaxy, hording experience and wisdom more quickly or being capable to talk yourself out of anything and be naturally charismatic and diplomatic.

Considering the other choices were "Wisdom" and "Friendship", common sense would dictate that Durabys's interpretation is correct, and "Power" doesn't mean "electrical power for our systems", but instead "political/military power".

Also, Gothic, you can't "vote for them all, you have to pick 5.

Fixed again as it seems you've replaced Redtape, since last time i checked the player list your name wasn't there and Redtape held that spot. So as you can see it wasn't that people weren't following link but a case of nobody thought you were a player. Also there wasn't any real mention that you had been given a spot so people simply if they hadn't check the first post don't know that your a player like i just did with my post there.

This is the best post I read in this thread. I 'like' it. The GM's will be sending curveballs against you. So please, get the infrastruture tech. I confess, I really do not like trainwrecks.

It might mean that just because the other to choices led to something less tangible doesn't mean Power will as well.

Also Political and military is more useful as we are to wipe out the Wraith, allies might be helpful but in the end it is up to us.

Also, stomp out the Genai asap. Wiping them not is not preferable, but I'm sure if they do show up, they will try to raise hell.

We should steal or their nukes as well. Cloaked Puddle Jumpers are great for delivering nuclear surprises. If I have my way we will be nuking every Hive and Wraith base we can find. Even if these Wraith are different than the ones we know they won't be surviving atomic blasts and if they can well then were dead.
