Thank the random dice gods for that natural 100, because it gave us something really good! Anyway, that's fucking it. We deal with this Event, repair and recover. Then we go after whoever is responsible and dismantle their organization from top to fucking bottom. I take nuking as an insult, especially if it was just one... though considering what I just said, I probably jinxed us all.

... there is an explosion in our base. There is a figure walking around in it. We have goauld in our base. We are paranoid. Assume the worst case scenario at all times.

What I really want us to do is have all our security replica's be equipped with the new laser rifles if we have enough... just have them equipped and loaded for bear.

Next action I do will have to be to begin mass production of both the new laser rifle design, and the BLADE systems.

For now can we assume this is a special turn given what just happened? Or is combat already over?

1. Have all the security go on full red alert, and alert the government and city something funny is going on again. We think we are under attack again. And by all security I mean all security at all our bases across the planet. This I think is just a way to get our attention on one thing just so they have an easier time hitting another.
2. Have everyone check in and ensure we aren't being hit somewhere else.
3. Security is to be equipped fully and loaded for bear. Expect anything.
4. EVA please be a darling and clock up your processing speeds to the maximum. I want to ensure that this situation is fully monitored and controlled. Please.

Also we might want to set up the satelittes with the trek tech sensors when they get put up... Just so we don't go in blind again like this... I really hate not knowing what is going on.

Kumoatsu's plan for dealing with the Event looks fine to me... do we have anything else to add in?

Maybe evacuate the most secret artifacts/data via tel'tac & Oort cloud gate to the Reach base?

I think the question is how someone, with our sensors and whatever could place a nuclear explosive into the building? My first idea was that we are dealing with the Reetou. But that explains one thing but not this:

How well would the tachis handle nuclear radiation currently and can we send them down there armed as hell?

So. A Reetou terrorist escapes from the SGC. Then goes onto find out about this planet and worthy targets. Gets to our corp. Finds out we have a Goa'uld stashed away. Goes nuts. Blows himself up. Destroys our Fallout Reactor in the process. That irradiates Hathor. She becomes a Ghoul.

May i suggest that next turn you buy out a big circle around the Cheyenne mountain complex and have it turned into a non essential warehouse and odds and ends area?

Just enough to give you a reason to erect a secondary containment area. I am certain yo have some forcefields or something so you could try and erect a forcefield dome (and preferably continuing as a sphere underground), or at least tubular circle, preferably with a top and bottom cover.

and get in bed with russians a bit more, so that you can do the same for them. perhaps even take Maybourne's place as advisor. with a lot more replica guns.

Would it be possible to ring from Earth to the Oort base - at least in theory? I know that would probably need at least one relay as Earth orbits Sol vastly faster than the base and we need LOS, but can the rings in general be used that way?

In theory, it's possible. Sokar had a ring system that extended between Delmak and Netu. The distance is a lot larger, but it shows there's a precedent for long-range ringing.

If you had a line of sight, you could do it. The problem is the distances involved make maintaining LOS difficult if not impossible. If you can relay the rings, possibly making something like the Galactic Bridge in ring form, then I suppose it's possible.

How about using the SQC to calculate, keep the LOS on the Ooort base and generally help in everything possible for the ringing apparatus or whatever? Or am I overthinking or something?

Also ring systems like that can be intercepted fairly easily IIRC.

Kumo's plan is good, but lead with the Tachis, not our replicas. Lasers on stun, if a few don't work shoot to kill and damn the consequences.

As for our intruder, use the Taichi's, and well...with the building design I'm surprised if it can possibly get out. I'm annoyed it got in in the first place, but...
