Well, I personally have been buffing Enchant (I'm at 74 at the moment, meanwhile my character level is 40) so I'm pretty magey in that department :)

1.2 patch notes:-

http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/11/28/skyrim-1-2-update/

I'm not really impressed with this patch. Hopefully they're fixing things not listed. Like that damn Ebony Armor bug.

Hey, at least the Thieves Guild missions require (or at any rate, very strongly encourage) having actual thief skills. Being a bloodstained slaughter machine doesn't help you when the way is blocked by a Master lock. :p
3. Leo1 Vicious Attack Dog

I haven't started the thieves guild stuff, but Master locks give me aneurisms. I don't even bother now, lockpicks are in short supply if you waste them. Can't be good at everything.

Just doing Boethia's quest now. Fuck, I feel like such a dick. I got Uthgerd the Unbroken in Whiterun (who I beat in a fistfight when I first rolled into town two months ago, game time) to follow me to the shrine and sacrificed her.
4. foamy Prodigal

Boethia is the one quest I think I will pass on. I tried slaughtering the entire camp, and Boethia appeared to yell at me and demanded a sacrified. T'heck with that.

Unless I hire somebody who has it coming, I suppose. Wish you could make Heimskyr a follower...

And master locks aren't that bad at higher Lockpicking, even without the perk (Master or Unbreakable, either one). It costs you a fair number of picks, to be sure, but you also get a huge experience boost and it's not like you can't pickpocket lockpicks from everybody in Skyrim.

Seriously. Everybody has lockpicks on their person. The guards are fighting a real losing battle there.

(Also you can buy them in job lots from various merchants)
5. Posbi Capitan Maximum

Yeah, I tried the same. I'll skip it.
6. Leo1 Vicious Attack Dog

I don't understand - Boethiah wants you to sacrifice a companion (which I did) then she tells you to stealthily kill people at Knifepoint Ridge - are you referring to the latter? I did all the former. According to the wiki, you don't actually have to kill them stealthily anyway.
7. LGear Enter Enter Mission

I thought that way too, until I joined the Thieves' Guild. Then found Tonilia sold like 30 - 40 lockpicks in a single go, and replenished often (it helps that lockpicks bought en masse can be bought with chump change). Most of the unlocked chests in the Ragged Flagon Cistern also have lockpicks in them. Master locks no longer became a problem for me despite me not putting a single perk point on lockpicking skills - what's 5-8 lockpicks gone per chest when you have hundreds of lockpicks at your disposal?
8. Exposure Shadow Cabal Groupie

What Foamy probably did was trying to slaughter all the cultists instead of killing someone for them.

The problem is that what Boethiah tells you to do after the sacrifice, so it's not like doing it beforehand is going to change her mind.
9. Phi Apathy Overwhelming

I never even came close to running out of lockpicks, apart from the first 3 minutes of the game, and that time I got thrown in jail.

Incidentally, the master locks on that jail sucked balls.
10. foamy Prodigal

If you murderise all her cultists, she resurrects the last one and whines at you. One would think the Daedra of deceit and murder would approve, but apparently its only a good thing when she does it.

If you think master locks on jail cells is bad, Markarth's jail door is keyed. And if you noclip through it the guards are set not to aggro on you. And if you leave the game crashes.
12. Unhappy Anchovy General of the Alliance

So: Saadia or Kematu?

I'm on that quest now, and there does not seem to be any way to find out who is telling the truth... :(
13. Exposure Shadow Cabal Groupie

You never get told for sure. It does seem like Kematu could be the one telling the truth considering his dying words:
"Don't let yourself be fooled by a pretty face again. You're better than that."
, but you don't ever get any hard evidence.
14. Unhappy Anchovy General of the Alliance

So what does your gut say?

Saadia's story feels a little off to me. So... you spoke out vocally against the Thalmor, and you came to Skyrim, and you're afraid that the guards and the jarl are susceptible to bribes or other manipulation?

Lady, it is Skyrim. No one is going to be annoyed at you for saying bad things about the Thalmor. If that story is true, all you have to do is tell the jarl and you will be feted as a hero. Skyrim loves people who say nasty things about the Thalmor.

On the other hand, if Kematu is right and Saadia betrayed a Redguard city to the Thalmor... well, that explains very neatly why she didn't just go to the authorities in Skyrim. If it got out that she betrayed humans to the Thalmor, I daresay what whatever is waiting for her back in Hammerfell is orders of magnitude more pleasant than what the Nords would do to her.

I killed both of them. It was the only way to be sure.
16. TWPC920 White Devil

That's how I did the Brotherhood initiation quest too. I killed everyone in the room, including Astrid.
17. Leo1 Vicious Attack Dog

I'm happy they accounted for that possibility though - I did everything "by the book". Ebony Mail is cool, but I won't wear it. Maybe I'll think about it it counts as "Matching Set" with normal ebony, if they fix that issue in the patch.
18. Tekrow Big Bad Wolf

People, stop killing Astrid, she used to be my mistress before I went Hannibal on her. Just ask Cicero.
19. Peptuck ....insufficient dakka.

Skyrim is having an impact on how I normally respond to snowy weather. Normally when it starts snowing I'm all "Gotta get the hats and gloves and hevay jackets out, its cold time, this is gonna suck."

Today, my response to snow was to throw on a flannel shirt and jeans, and step out into the snow and not give a fuck.
20. Stratigo The Uber Being

Honestly, I rationalized it by thu'um.

You are an incredibly powerful mage, even without leveling any magic skills. You just shout your magic
21. A Puzzled Mind Laura Bertram aka Trance Gemini

Especially with Storm Call.

Dragonborn: "So you don't think I have magic power?"

"Well, STRUN BAH AO!"

"Enjoy the fucking lightning bitches."
22. Laluzi Wannabe Tentacle Monster

Finally got 100 enchanting and its related perk. It's amazing.

Now to get 100 alchemy so I can make impossibly epic +enchanting potions. In the meantime, I'm going to make the best +smithing and +alchemy gear I can make, to eventually create myself a set of god-armor.

As for Saadia and Kemetu... I saved Saadia, only because I have a thing for doing the 'protecting', not the hunting. Still not really sure who was the one at fault, but I figured if I killed the Alik'r, I'd get some cool scimmies.
23. Unhappy Anchovy General of the Alliance

Aye: I actually just managed to get smithing to 100 today.

...is it wrong that I just want to stick with my legendary steel plate armour? All the better armours just look lame to me. I was really hoping dragonbone armour would look great too, but... blah, I really don't like it.

Daedric doesn't do anything for me: I do not wish to look like a demon. I guess ebony might be okay, but I still think steel plate looks the most stylish.

Except, of course, for how it looks on female characters. Damn it, Bethesda, in Oblivion you were genuinely good at avoiding sculpted breast-plates! Why are you back-sliding now?
24. Sayle Praise Vectron!

Agreed. I using steel plate armor and player.modav smithing to jack up the modded values to whatever armor I'm capable of making.
25. Laluzi Wannabe Tentacle Monster

I think Ebony looks the best, personally. (I like the Daedric boots, claws gauntlets, and helm, though.)

Speaking of good-looking armor... okay, I'm a girl, but, um. I made a female Khajiit character, and put on some forsworn armor, and... woah. It actually looks really good. If not ridiculously skimpy. But unclothed beastfolk do not bother me, because they're not human...y.

But it looks really tribal, and fitting for a Khajiit. So it's a keeper.
